After being let down at the last minute for another property we were supposed to be renting, I spoke to Sofia who advised they had the perfect property for us. We arranged a viewing straightaway and absolutely LOVED it! Sofia was so lovely and knowledgeable and ensured everything went through efficiently for us. We can't thank you enough for our beautiful new family home

8th May 2021 (5 years ago)We had a home buyers survey carried out by Jowett's and I'd struggle to recommend them. The survey missed several fairly obvious issues, and when I asked for further information on how to improve the energy efficiency of the property as this was commented on in the report I was given very generic advice which was totally non-specific to the property. Rather disappointing.
8th May 2026 (25 weeks ago)Despite the staff being polite there were organisational and communication issues during the sales process. The keys were unavailable on one occasion hence one viewing was done by myself and the agent, and the agent struggled to answer questions asked by the buyer. The process was more stressful than it needed to be and overall I was dissatisfied with the process. I have been disappointed by both the service and costs involved and feel justified in asking for a reduction of fees
29th Jan 2026 (8 mo. ago)Difficult to judge when you have had little traffic to view the property with no explanantion as to why? Was it the wrong time of year, was it the advertising (little evidence)? Value for money, we spend nothing. The agency was friendly but lacked in keeping us informed.

Their communication, honesty, and reliability are second to none. Without a doubt the best estate agent in town. Special mention to Peter and Summer for their service on our recent purchase. We would highly recommend them.
18th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Charge customer for a expensive cleaning service, when ever the room got broken toile cover and unclean floor from the beginning.Even the wall are dirty with broken mirror on the wall. They don't even want to repair the house ?just continue checking and annoying. Respond: The kitchen floor and ceiling are always flooded with water, but they do nothing for the leaking. I need to clean the floor for many times. They should pay for my cleaning service aswell. No matter how clean when I clean up the room, they always told the tenant it's not clean enough and charge for a expensive cleaning service. They just want to get your money from the deposit. Don't trust them !

When things got a bit delayed with the solicitors, max the one who was dealing with my property had stepped in to chase everything up. wouldn't hesitate to recommend them very lovely staff.

His professionalism, expertise, and commitment have been outstanding from start to finish. Whenever things have stalled, Matt has been proactive in chasing the vendor and both sides of the solicitors to keep everything moving forward. His communication and willingness to go the extra mile have made a real difference throughout the whole process.<br><br>I genuinely couldn’t fault Matt and the service he has provided. 16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)*EDIT to respond to owner*:<br><br>As suspected, as with the additional drone footage photos which were only added AFTER we complained, they have once again lied about us being supplied footage of our home being locked. This categorically has never been sent to us. It just goes to show how far this company will go to protect their reputation, completely and utterly lying stating they have evidence that they gave us. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.<br><br>It isn't just the one agency that warned us, it was every single agent in the Holme Valley area - they are getting quite the name for themselves and we can absolutely verify that multiple other agents have stated many of their clients have come to them as a direct result of Home & Manor's failings.<br><br>It is just lie upon lie upon lie, I cannot actually believe they are getting away with it as they are.<br><br>Avoid Home & Manor at all costs. An utterly incompetent and unprofessional estate agency.<br><br>After four months of dealing with Home & Manor, we have finally moved to another estate agent. Our experience has been nothing short of appalling, and we deeply regret not listening to the warnings we received before signing with them.<br><br>Communication is dreadful, and the sheer level of incompetence suggests a poorly trained, understaffed business incapable of delivering even the most basic customer service.<br><br>Just some examples of what we've experienced:<br><br>- Viewings: They waited over a week to inform us that a viewing scheduled for the following day had been cancelled, despite admitting they'd known all along. Not even an apology.<br>- Organisation: Staff seemingly have no idea what's recorded on their own system, including viewing feedback we'd already seen ourselves.<br>- Broken promises: The service promised during the owner's initial sales pitch was completely different from what was delivered.<br>- Drone photography: After chasing for SIX WEEKS during the summer, we were told the weather hadn't been suitable. When the photographs finally appeared, there were just two poor-quality images. After questioning this, another two suddenly appeared, which they then insisted had been there all along, which was not the truth.<br>- Property security: Our home was left unlocked, a serious failing they subsequently denied.<br>- Management: The owner is readily available when securing your business, but once you've signed, getting hold of them to escalate problems is another story. Ignored calls, excuses and zero accountability.<br>- Social media: Despite promising frequent promotion and boasting about their social media presence, our property was posted just TWICE in four months.<br><br>What makes this agency particularly infuriating is their attitude when confronted with their failings. Rather than accepting responsibility, apologising or resolving issues, they argue relentlessly, seemingly more concerned with protecting their reputation than actually selling homes.<br><br>We've since been told they've lost five properties from their listings in just two weeks. Although we cannot independently verify the circumstances, given our experience, it wouldn't surprise us.<br><br>I fully expect their response to this review to be the usual carefully worded damage limitation, claiming they've spoken to us, apologising that they haven't met our expectations and denying responsibility. We've heard it all before. Even when presented with evidence, they would rather argue than acknowledge their mistakes. Any apology at this stage feels utterly insincere.<br><br>In our experience, Home & Manor are far more interested in securing your business than delivering the service they promise once you've signed. Selling a home is stressful enough without constantly chasing your estate agent, checking their work and fighting to get the basics done.<br><br>We've wasted four months dealing with broken promises, incompetence and unnecessary stress. Thankfully, we've now gone elsewhere.<br><br>Please do your research, read the negative reviews and think very carefully before trusting Home & Manor with the sale of your home. We wish we had. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.- This agent doesn't have any reviews
