17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)What a different way to sell a home, with supportive, gentle and trustworthy people. We’d been mulling over the idea of relocating out of London for years and even discussed putting our home on the market with Unique previously. What we like is that there is no big sales pitch, no pressure to sell, just listening and responding. But more importantly, keeping both our buyers and us calm, communicative and friendly throughout the sale, so it felt as smooth as it could possibly be. We’re not planning to do move again any time soon, but we’d definitely use Unique if we were.

11th Mar 2026 (7 days ago)Persuaded by them to change from another agent & wished we hadn't. Poor communication,- we constantly had to chase them for any information. Messages from us were not passed on. Often found information from them to be incorrect. Generally felt unsupported& uninformed.
4th Oct 2021 (4 years ago)Made an appointment a month ago for a house valuation. Day before the appointment received a call cancelling said appointment in order to save petrol. Not impressed at all. Even if they want to do a valuation now my answer would be NO

Harriet at Stags in Bridport has given us the best possible advice and support throughout the house sale and her assistant Amelia has also been extremely helpful.I highly recommend Stags in Bridport. We were extremely satisfied to have such proactive estate agent managing our first home purchased. At every stage, we’ve been impressed with the blend of confidence, initiative and expertise shown by the team handling our sale and next purchase. Sophie has been a total star - always keeping things moving and keeping us in the loop too. When the inevitable bumps in the road occurred, Sophie went above and beyond to get us back on track. Christina in particular went the extra mile on more than one occasion to ensure everything, from sale to completion, stayed on track. She was amazing.

The advertising was professional, with great photography and well-handled viewings, helping the sale progress smoothly. I felt the service was good value for money, and overall performance was strong throughout. The only reason I haven’t given five stars across the board is due to occasional delays in communication, though when contact was made, the responses were helpful and professional.

26th Aug 2025 (6 mo. ago)This is the second time I have used Direct Moves to sell a property..The properties on both occasions have sold within a week????This is down to them having the right clients available to view, the correct pricing of the property and when in their office a friendly and professional atmosphere..Thank you Barry and the team- 4th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)When considering the sale of our cottage we looked online for information and found GetAgent a useful resource for planning a sale and comparing Estate Agents. As a result we invited three firms to visit us and when we met Caroline, the Beaminster branch manager, from Symonds and Sampson, it really was no contest. Her focus was entirely on what we wanted and she went to some lengths determining that, including advice on buying our next home. Once we were on the market with Symonds and Sampson the contacts with the office, mainly by phone and email were excellent. Although it was a short “chain” the sale wasn’t straightforward and the attention paid to us and the efforts to deal with any issues arising were very good, especially from Caroline. In fact we commented that even had our property been worth considerably more we could not have asked for any better service. We have no hesitation in recommending the team at Symonds and Sampson, Beaminster.

24th May 2025 (9 mo. ago)Charlie is quite honestly the best estate agent we interacted with and he wasn't even our appointed agent. There is no doubt in my mind that without him, we would not have been able to complete our purchase. He went above and beyond to make the sale happen even driving hours to deliver physical contracts to lawyers. Through the ups and downs of a house sale and purchase he continued to be communicative, patient and delivered unparalleled quality of service (again, he was not our agent). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Charlie if you are looking to sell your property
