After recieving a whole range of valuations from different estate agents, and Glenn Anderson provided good advise and really helped with getting to the right price to go to market with. Ellie Graham was very professional and communicative in managing the viewings and sale agreement. Overall, everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful - really allieviating a lot of the stress involved with selling a property.

Although there were Googlemaps issues with my advert, he persevered with having Google fix the problem . His communication is excellent: prompt and courteous. The subcontractors he appoints for photography and home report are top quality. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

They walked me through all of the steps of offering and then purchasing the property and were very transparent from the start about the cost of their services. Excellent communication throughout the process, quick response times and happy to help with my endless questions. A special thanks to Peter Moore as my purchase negotiator who was very patient and supportive through the process.

My solicitor Susan Oates and property manager Jane Yarrington both went above and beyond to answer all of my queries, and their hard work meant that all the paperwork went through quickly without any issues. I would highly recommend their services.
3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

They used a mix of Telephone and email which was perfect for a busy person like myself. Valuation was accurate and there was plenty footfall in the property to see it go under offer. Great value for money and would recommend.

Not ideal - feel like they had too much work to handle mine at the time. Would have fathered they had just said they were too busy than wait too I was stressed and lost out on buyers.
2nd Sep 2025 (10 mo. ago)I previously had dealings with Fraser Brooks during our property purchase, as they were representing the sellers. Although they were not acting on my behalf, I found the experience with them to be disappointing. Communication was often curt and, at times, came across as rude, which made an already stressful process much more difficult. From my perspective, the level of professionalism fell short of what I would expect from a firm of solicitors. While they may have fulfilled their role for their own clients, the manner in which they engaged with others involved in the transaction was poor and unhelpful. A prime example of this lack of professionalism is when I went to collect my keys. I had purposely gone after the lunch hour to avoid waiting about (the office is in city centre so parking is a nightmare) as I had been told multiple times lunch was 12-1. I was waiting outside the office for 25 minutes. Tried to phone them multiple times. No response. After 25 minutes at 13:25 the gentleman came strolling back in. No apologies for being late or keeping me waiting. When I queried about why he had been so late to return back to work he proceeded to become stand offish and rude. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident recommending this firm

I conducted the viewings myself with the help of a family friend but Urquharts made the appointments while consulting with us over our availability. Advice was succinct yet with the reasoning clearly explained.
