14th Sep 2020 (5 years ago)I stayed with Croft Living in Belgravia for 6 weeks in July/August 2020. The apartment was reasonably priced, spacious and centrally located. Check-in was efficient, even during covid. Very responsive service by email in advance although 2 days before arrival i found out that linen wasn't provided. Luckily for a fee - they would provide sheets, not towels. Wish I had known that a bit sooner as we were moving from Australia to London and that gave almost no time to buy towels in advance. There were a few issues though so I don't think I would recommend them. First - mail security. You can get mail there but mail disappears. I did complain but management told me they are only responsible for inside the apartment, not the building. They said to complain to Royal Mail but as Royal Mail showed our items delivered, they were of no help. Other tenants also had mail disappear so there's obviously a security issue. I asked to see the CCTV and was told it wasn't working. If mail can't be secure inside a locked building, then I really worry about my personal safety and don't buy Croft's opinion that they are only responsible for inside the actual apartment. Other security issues - some very sketchy tenants in the building. Got up to run at 5am and saw a tenant coming home that day covered in blood. Next morning, going for a run at 5am, saw him moving out. Next thing you know - a lot of cops come into the building looking for someone. Makes you not feel too secure... Water pressure - the worst I have ever had in my decade of living in London. It was a trickle, at best. Croft did bring a new shower head but barely made an improvement. Impossible to wash long hair. I asked about it and was told that it's just London. Actually, no it's not. Lived here long enough. Buy a water pump that works and create pressure like most. Old furniture - couches and chairs were ripped and stained; carpet coming up in places; needs a paint job. Windows - all have child locks on them so barely open which means when it's 30 degrees, no air movement. Whilst all the windows let in fabulous light - it's stifling in a summer heatwave. We had to buy additional fans as the ones provided barely provide any movement of air. Garbage - got locked out once as someone changed the codes to the gates and never told residents. Luckily my partner was able to climb and jump over the fence to let me in. Overall, the apartment was k but i wouldn't rent through this company - too much 'we are only responsible for inside the apartment' and not enough concern for tenant safety or property.

12th Jun 2026 (30 days ago)Our tenancy was years ago, but I came across some old correspondence and realised I should leave a warning for others.<br><br>Renting through Apple Estates was a nightmare.<br><br>Key issues included:<br><br>Being deliberately misled that a bathroom was ours when it belonged to the shop next door.<br>The shopkeeper letting strangers into our home daily to use the facilities, resulting in a complete loss of privacy and security.<br>The property being dangerously unsafe, including shutters that would lock us in without another fire exit.<br>Critical repairs being ignored for weeks.<br><br>Would very, very strongly advise against using this agency.<br><br>-<br><br>UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:<br><br>The agency's reply below is entirely fabricated to deflect blame.<br><br>The toilet: We were absolutely NOT aware the toilet was shared, we were explicitly misled from the start.<br><br>"Difficult tenants": This is a completely unfounded accusation. We were respectful, paid everything on time, and looked after the place so well that we received our deposit back in full.<br><br>The tenancy: The conditions were so bad that one of my flatmates moved out early and (essentially paying double rent - for his share of this flat and his new flat).<br><br>Finally, I note that the agency has directed people to the 'testimonials' page on their own website as proof of their great service. I'll leave it to anyone reading this to decide who is more trustworthy: independent, verified Google reviews, or the self-selected praise a company chooses to publish about themselves.

17th Nov 2023 (2 years ago)Quite friendly people(especially the CEO of Taylor Smith Estates), and concerned about the well-settling in of the potential/tenent, offering an `AFTER-SALES SERVICE` as much as necessary. I'm speaking here as a human being, who cannot see the intents of another human's heart. Only God Can See through human heart and Know it exactly.
28th Oct 2021 (4 years ago)We found a property that was on our liking with a decent price as well, we contact them and tell them our story. As it happens our circumstances made it that we needed the property quickly so we offer 6 months in advance to have the property keys as soon as possible and than after to have the references done. Now with the times we live in is understandable not to want someone in your home without credit checks and all that, but we offered 9k in advance do you still think i can't pay my rent?! Than to be told that no matter how much we pay we can t have the keys to the property by 20th nov, that s 25 days for a property available now, any other agency would take 5-7 days they take 4 times longer, they discriminate against non british people. There is absolutely no logic behind the way they acted. That s my story take what you please from it.

21st Feb 2024 (2 years ago)WARNING WARNING Avoid this company like the plague, they said there was a leak coming from my flat, which they manage. I let two men in my flat for 5 days 46 hours they ruined the floor/ kitchen bathroom. Couldn’t find the source of the leak and didnt repair. I believe they are dishonest and untrustworthy and deliberately tell lies to isolate any tenant who challenges their dishonesty

I have several properties and will not hesitate to have the services of zen homes in future. On this occasion Naveed and Ellie were the agents who worked endlessly during my absence ; whilst I was on holiday.
