He was extremely helpful throughout and went above and beyond when we hit a bump in the road taking it upon himself to sort a mistake my accountant had made. 9th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)AVOID! both as a tenant and as a landlord. I'm a tenant in a property under their portfolio, I'm facing severe lack of communication and total lack of integrity. I'm in the unfortunate situation of desperately needing to move out early due to personal health reasons. I can't move out until Maskells finds a replacement tenant. Their approach has been to try and profit from the situation, which I personally find morally wrong. Rather than trying to replace me, they are putting an out of the market price to try and squeeze extra pounds of commission without any risk, as the property is not vacant. Communication related to the process has also been lacking and not transparent. Tenants: you are better off with some other agencies. Landlords: find someone with integrity to manage your properties.

When I am in the US, it is important to me that my property in the UK is managed professionally and at a reasonable cost. Oliver Burn and Aldo-Marco, their Senior Property Management & Accounts Manager is on-it, both for routine and/or exceptional circumstances. Importantly, Oliver Burn support my tenants so that my property is looked after. If you are looking for property management, especially when out of the country, I recommend Oliver Burn.

Even before the initial meeting with him he had done some research and really had a feel for what type of property we are selling and what the most likely buyers would be looking for. David has kept us informed every step of the way and provided really helpful feedback to help us find our buyer. We would completely recommend David to anyone selling their property.

21st May 2026 (7 weeks ago)I am really surprised by this rate. This agency provides the worst service. Actually, it doesn’t provide anything, it just takes money from tenants. The houses are full of rodents, and pest control never visits despite all the complaints from tenants. The internet is not working properly, which prevents people from working from home. The food bin has been full for more than two months, and no one has taken it away. Where else should tenants complain to ensure basic safety standards are met? If nothing is fixed, I will upload photos so other people can see the conditions.
29th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)FJL produced a very good brochure with nice photos but they suggested we reduce the asking price which they recommended in the beginning. They had the house on the market for 5 months but we never received an offer even when.price was reduced.

His initial valuation seemed rather high to us and was more than other agents suggested but within 2 weeks of listing it we sold our house for slightly more than that price. My only reservation - their recommended EPC provider was unsatisfactory.- 22nd May 2026 (7 weeks ago)Absolutely horrible, would not even refer them to an animal. After waiting nearly four months for an accept or decline decision on my offer no contact from Raj. He contacted me 4 times during this period and that was only in the month of February. Incredibly unprofessional and such a poor customer service.

I have been very impressed with the way they communicated with me before and after each viewing. I have received the feedback from the potential buyer soon after the viewing and was kept updated from the start to the end.

22nd Jun 2026 (20 days ago)Recently moved (last minute) to a Scott City property and the move in process was seamless! Janette and Tilly have been lovely to work with and I highly recommend this company!! I was even given a lovely thoughtful welcome gift.
29th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)They keep reporting and removing reviews. My review had twenty likes on it as so many people think the same- this agency needs to be out of business! Two extremelly disrespectful men, who run the agency, hopefully will be shut down soon! They are literally operating by providing illegal certificates, fake information and letting flats, that do not have a very basic living standards! Please, take my word and avoid these people as much as you can, because this review will be too long to describe in detail, what are they putting their tenants through.Once they got your money, you will be ignored for ever. Terrible people, including their staff, who was half an hour late to the viewing without even excusing, and made awful judging comments. AVOID!!!
