5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!

The decision to give you the business proved to be a wise choice because you secured a buyer quickly and proved to be an excellent agent throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend you to other people without hesitation.

6th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)Having used Inskip and Davie for 2 different property sales in the last year, I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone and have told all my friends and family to use them. Daniel is friendly, thorough and knowledgeable, keeping us up-to-date proactively and offering his advice and expertise as needed. You won't find a better option and I wish all estate agents operated like this!

Constant updates, it took a while to sell the property but I was reassured Edward Mellor were doing as much as they can. Top class service.- 26th Feb 2026 (21 days ago)If every house move had a Carol, the process would be so much easier. Our purchase tested everyone involved! There were tears, frustrations, tense moments and times when it felt like the whole purchase might collapse. Through all of it, Carol was the calm in the storm. She listened, reassured, explained, mediated, and kept things moving. She showed genuine compassion and understanding, always making us feel heard and supported. Her knowledge and professionalism gave us confidence when we were close to walking away. We honestly don’t think this move would have happened without her persistence, patience, and care. We are deeply grateful for everything she has done and can’t thank her enough. Carol, if you get to read this I’d like you to know you are a superstar!!
7th Mar 2026 (12 days ago)Writing this review, to highlight the fantastic work done by Martin & Co. If you are planning to either buy or rent a property, I would recommend Martin & Co. Anyone going through the renting or buying process would be in a very safe pair of hands working with Martin & Co. They are experts and know the industry extremely well. In addition to the massive expertise, another thing worth highlighting is how nice and helpful the team was to me. THANK YOU Mandy, Tom and Claire for your kindness and fantastic work done. Also, very few Estate Agents have a website as well designed as the website of Martin & Co. Both processes of renting or buying a property are really complex, and I found very useful the wealth of advice provided in the website, about the key steps in either renting or buying a property. By far one of the best websites I saw after checking dozen of websites from other estate agents. Best wishes to the Martin and Co team in the St Albans branch, moving forward if I come across anyone in need of a Estate Agent, I will be happy to recommend Martin & Co.
27th Aug 2025 (6 mo. ago)Moving can be immensely stressful but the team at Belvoir were fantastic. Very attentive and available with any concerns I had during the process of completing forms, arranging viewings, etc. A genuine personable experience. A special shout out to Rees has been brilliant!

17th Mar 2026 (2 days ago)We used Chas Lowe 23 years ago to buy our current home. This time we are selling and, after a recommendation from a friend, instructed a much bigger local firm and really regretted it. After 10 months on the market with 5 offers but no exchange we decided to change agents and use Chas Lowe again. We instantly knew it was the right decision. These men know what they are doing. They know the area and they have a positive, no nonsense attitude which I much prefer to the usual cowboy estate agents. We dealt mainly with James for the viewings and Anthony for all of the after sales stuff( which I had no idea could be so lengthy and tricky- dealing with very particular buyers). Anybody can show potential buyers around your home and get them to like it. The staff in this office actually get the job done and keep you informed at all times-coming up with good ideas and different strategies along the way. I would never mess around with any other firms. Go straight to Chas Lowe. You will be glad that you did.

23rd Feb 2026 (24 days ago)Very disappointing experience with this agency. Communication from their representative, Josh, was unnecessarily argumentative and lacked professionalism. Reasonable requests regarding suitable viewing times were inaccurately presented as a refusal. As a tenant, I remained cooperative, yet the tone and approach taken made the process stressful and uncomfortable. Professionalism and respectful communication should be standard practice in any property agency. However, he was lack of them. In this case, Josh clearly fell short of these standards. In contrast, my communication with Jena was professional, polite, and respectful. She arranged viewings appropriately and approached matters in a courteous manner, which made cooperation much easier. Professional and respectful communication makes a significant difference, and I hope this agency ensures consistency across its team. Update in response to the agency’s reply: I stand by my review, as it reflects my genuine experience. I have retained screenshots of the communication between Joshua and myself, including responses that I found dismissive and unprofessional, such as the use of a laughing emoji when I mentioned raising a complaint. This understandably gave the impression that my concerns were not being taken seriously. For clarity, two viewings were successfully conducted at the property with my agreement. This clearly demonstrates that I was cooperative and did not refuse access. As a working tenant, I simply requested reasonable availability within my schedule, which is entirely within my legal rights. Leaving a review on Google is also my right as a consumer when I feel my experience does not reflect the standards described in your response. Should the matter require independent review, I am comfortable referring it to The Property Ombudsman so that an impartial assessment can determine whether the communication met appropriate professional standards. I remain willing to cooperate within reasonable and respectful boundaries. However, I do not wish to continue communication with Joshua and request that future arrangements are handled by another respectful representative.

9th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)The team at Putterills probably won’t realise that I am a fellow agent who runs Leysbrook in Letchworth, but I only have very positive things to say about the service I received from Putterills in Welwyn Garden City. From the viewing, which was conducted very professionally, through to the constant support and updates from Abigail Rawling, the service has been excellent from start to finish. My only small comment, and certainly not something that warrants losing a star, would be to reconsider charging buyers and sellers for AML checks ????
