Communication was always good and could phone the branch, get straight through and they all knew who we were (not in a bad way). To be fair to them the property was not in the most desirable area to most buyers so do not think they were at fault for not selling (was on with 2 agents after first 4 weeks with just them). No fee as never sold but was very competitive and also included a free epc

19th Dec 2025 (13 weeks ago)We rented a property managed by Martin & Co Maidstone for just over two years. Unfortunately, our experience has been deeply frustrating and stressful, and ultimately unacceptable, due to their continued lack of professionalism, communication failures, and disregard for tenant well-being. ???? Ongoing Repair Issues Ignored or Mishandled • Throughout our tenancy, essential repairs were consistently delayed, ignored, or only partially addressed. • Roof leaks went unresolved for months, causing dampness and damage. Even when a roofer attended multiple times and provided a quote for complete repair, the landlord (via the agency) chose not to proceed. • Bathrooms had significant water damage and mould. At one point, we were left without a working toilet for weeks. • A silverfish infestation was left untreated for over a year, with the agency suggesting we buy insect spray or “ventilate better” despite confirmed leaks and humidity from structural issues. • The kitchen extractor hood lights never worked. We reported this, and only after months of back-and-forth did we receive confirmation that the extractor wouldn’t be fixed—even though it was listed in inventory. ???? Poor and Disrespectful Communication • Emails went unanswered for weeks at a time. • When we raised legitimate concerns, they were often dismissed or met with unprofessional and condescending responses. For example: “Not sure why everything always has to be on your terms.” • Simple requests for scheduling, written confirmation of repairs, or clarification on next steps were routinely ignored or delayed. • Despite promising transparency, we were often misled or given conflicting information by different staff members. ???? Retaliatory Behaviour and Deposit Misuse • After months of escalating complaints about unresolved repairs, the agency issued us a Section 21 eviction notice, which we believe was retaliatory. • We gave notice to leave by 1st December and paid all rent due up to that date. We withheld a portion of the earlier rent (as previously discussed with the agency) due to ongoing unresolved issues, which is permitted under tenancy law in certain circumstances. • Upon key return, the agency immediately submitted a claim for 100% of the deposit, despite prior agreements and without providing evidence of damages. • After I disputed their claim and submitted my own, they stopped responding. To date, they’ve not attempted to resolve the matter, and the deposit remains withheld. ?? Final Thoughts Martin & Co Maidstone has proven to be inconsistent, unreliable, and not tenant-focused. Repairs were delayed for months or never completed, pest control issues were ignored, and communication was frequently unprofessional. When we tried to end the tenancy fairly and in writing, the agency’s handling of the deposit confirmed our worst concerns — no transparency, no accountability, and no respect for their legal obligations. I would strongly advise others to avoid renting through this agency. What should have been a simple, straightforward tenancy became a drawn-out, unnecessarily stressful situation due to poor management and disregard for tenants' rights.

5th Dec 2023 (2 years ago)I would not recommend Mann Ashford. They were not pro active and did not keep in contact to let us know what they were doing in terms of our property. No one answered the phone. They were disinterested and all they wanted to do was reduce the price. Never phoned us we had to phone them. They achieved no viewings on our property. A very poor performance and no service.

Le Grys created an attractive marketing campaign that really highlighted the strengths and unique features of the house the photos and overall presentation were excellent. They also managed the viewings with great care and efficiency, giving me clear feedback after each visit. I highly recommend them to everyone looking to sell à property.

9th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Wood & Pilcher were great during our sale this past summer. They provided us with advice to prepare our house before we were signed up with them and then 3 months later when we were ready to go to market they got us out there quickly and got us a buyer inside a week. When that fell through, we went back to market and got a better offer the following week. Communication was excellent and either Amanda or Steve was avaliable whenever we needed them. Would highly recommend them.
5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)The team were very friendly and helpful. It wasn’t a good time to sell but they set our expectations and kept us in the loop an appropriate amount. We couldn’t sell so it is hard to judge the agents’ performance across the whole process. The viewings we had were not particularly productive - a few of them could have been avoided by some simple questions about budget and some information about the house and area, which would have saved us the stress of a pointless viewing.

The sale was not an easy one, numerous challenges and hair pulling moments but Hannah & Oliver were tremendous, didn't miss a beat and at every twist & turn were there, proactive, helpful and communicated very openly and honestly. We would highly recommend Savills to everyone - we just hope our next purchase is with Savills.

He’s professional, sincere, and made sure any concerns we had were sorted out quickly. He’s honest, straightforward, and easy to talk to, which made the whole renting experience really smooth. 10th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)I had an excellent experience selling my property with Neville & Neville Estate Agents, and in particular working with Francis, who was outstanding from start to finish. Francis originally found my buyer and handled the negotiations brilliantly, securing a result I was very happy with. What really impressed me though was his dedication throughout the entire process. He managed the sales progression and chasing exceptionally well, keeping everything moving and ensuring I always knew exactly where things stood. He always provided viewing feedback the same day and was incredibly responsive, always getting back to me within the day whenever I had questions. Francis also made a point of giving me weekly updates, even when there was nothing new to report, just to make sure I was always kept fully informed. Selling a property can be stressful, but he kept me calm throughout and took the time to explain each stage of the process so I fully understood what was happening. One thing I particularly appreciated was that he continued arranging viewings right up until exchange of contracts. This meant I had backup buyers in place in case anything went wrong or the existing buyer tried to renegotiate — which ultimately protected me and gave me great peace of mind. What really sets Neville & Neville Estate Agents apart from other estate agents is their level of communication, care and attention to detail throughout the process. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I would absolutely recommend Neville & Neville Estate Agents, especially Francis, for his professionalism, communication and commitment to achieving the best outcome for their clients.

The whole process was really well managed by the Peter Oliver team and we are very appreciative to Kelsie, Barbara, Daryl and Nick for their help moving everything along to a successful close. The whole team is friendly, proactive and solutions focused.

We had viewings within 48 hours of the property going on the market and offers within the price ranged recommended by the agent, taking our thoughts on value into consideration, on the same day as the viewings. He has kept in touch with us through out the process. We couldn’t have asked for a better agent.

20th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)I wish I had instructed Paul to sell my property initially because it had languished with 2 well known agents for Months without any sensible sale plan/updates. Paul offered straight talking, no nonsense advice. We had an offer within days of the viewings. Go with an agent who is as committed as you are to sell and will add valuable insight to the process. You won't be disappointed with Paul.
