15th Mar 2026 (3 days ago)The WORST customer service I have ever encountered, and it seems I very much dodged a bullet. I recently went to view a rental property, agreed to pay 12 months rent upfront and a provisional move-in date, signed the tenancy, paid the 1st month's rent and damage deposit in advance (rest on sale completion), and was advised to call back within the hour to speak to John to arrange key collection 48 hours later. It wouldn't be a lie if I told you that John, also the Area Lettings Manager, is the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. In the 1.5 hours, he sat opposite me arguing, I was told to shut up and be quiet twice (his actual words). I was shouted at. I was called a bully because I wanted to know why all four staff members had failed to call the landlord or myself back the day before. I had questions ignored. I was lied to when I asked if the calls were recorded (even though other staff members have confirmed they were). I was laughed at. I was also told (with a big smirk on his face) that he had advised the landlord to re-market the property if I hadn't completed and transferred the balance of 17k by close of play the next working day and would now not be allowed to move in, as agreed. It appears the poor lady I had spoken to on the phone was only a trainee and shouldn't have dealt with my call. Feeling backed into a corner, I advised the landlord I would withdraw my application. The property is now back on Rightmove and empty, and WHB needs to start all over again with viewings and referencing and refund my money. This is only a snippet of the complete mess it’s been from start to finish. The landlord and I have raised formal complaints, but am I surprised? No. I have never heard anything good about them, and their staff turnover is incredibly high, but look at how their Manager treats people.

They are simply the best in this division. Elliot handled my sale from start to finish. - 3rd Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)Enquired about a rental property but got declined because of previous bad credit - relating to something that has been paid off for a year and 8 months. Not even willing to do a credit check, receive references from previous landlords or take into account income and expenditure. I understand the risks of previous financial problems but ‘previous’ is the main word of focus here. There should be more understanding and investigation towards why things have happened and the likelihood of it happening again. Don’t tar everyone with the same brush.

From the viewing to the acceptance of their final offer took one hour - amazing.- 12th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)My husband I recently started renting through William H Brown and we had such a positive experience, especially with Damon. From the very first viewing right through to checking in that we’d moved in safely, he’s been absolutely brilliant. He was professional, relatable, approachable and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he kept us informed every step of the way which made everything so much less stressful. We appreciate it greatly and would recommend William H Brown highly!

We picked Ark because looking around the area the amount of sold signs they had. They didnt disapoint. Also weekly calls or emails to let us know how the house sale was going, definatly recommend. Emma made what can often be a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and even after I had moved in, she went above and beyond to assist me with an additional matter. That level of care and support truly made a difference. Your Move has definitely been the best… spot on from start to finish. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Outstanding service all round! Thanks again.
