16th Jun 2022 (4 years ago)As always CJ Hole provided an excellent service selling my home from start to finish, I have previously used the Henleaze office, this time it was the Westbury-on-Trym office, and they have been equally good.
19th Jun 2026 (16 days ago)Absolutely shocking experience with CJ Hole Downend.<br><br>I viewed a property, completed all the requested checks with the person on the phone, and promptly sent over proof of funds a few days later and everything else they asked for. After that, I heard absolutely nothing back.<br><br>I emailed four times and called twice trying to get an update. Not a single response to any of my emails, and no meaningful communication whatsoever. Then, without any notification or courtesy update, I noticed the property had been marked as Sold STC.<br><br>If the property had gone to another buyer, that's fair enough, but completely ignoring a serious applicant who has taken the time to provide all the required documents is incredibly unprofessional. Basic communication and customer service seem to be lacking.<br><br>A complete waste of time and a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend CJ Hole Downend based on how I was treated.

25th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)?????<br><br>My experience with this letting agency was extremely disappointing.<br><br>The handling of my tenancy deposit was frustrating from start to finish. I had to repeatedly chase for updates, supporting invoices and the return of my deposit. The undisputed portion of my deposit was only returned after numerous follow-ups, and key invoices were only provided months later.<br><br>The most concerning part was the cleaning. I specifically used the agency’s recommended end of tenancy cleaner and paid over £200, including an additional amount after the cleaner inspected the property, to ensure the property met their expected standard and to avoid exactly this type of dispute.<br><br>Despite this, I was later charged additional cleaning costs through my tenancy deposit. To make matters worse, the cleaning company later informed me that they were forced by the letting agency to raise an additional invoice for the extra cleaning. As a tenant, it is impossible to understand why I was expected to pay the cleaner directly and then effectively pay again through my deposit for further cleaning carried out by the same cleaner.<br><br>Overall, the process lacked transparency, communication was poor, and I was left feeling that the system was heavily weighted against the tenant. I would strongly advise prospective tenants to document everything, keep all receipts and correspondence, and carefully scrutinise any proposed deposit deductions.

Tim was professional and understanding of my situation, listened to my views and only proceeded when I was ready. Had first viewings within days and offer made and accepted within 2 weeks. Lorraine who then took over did a fantastic job of leading me through the administration of selling, very knowledgeable and also calming when it all felt stressful (which selling a house is!). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CJ Hole.

Can’t recommend her enough!! No question went unanswered and communication was faultless. Would definitely go through Tyler again and recommend her services, very professional.

From Emma showing us around our new home , Sadie’s help with the exchange and answering all my calls and emails ! And Sam helping sorting out our documents. She builds a great rapport with her customers that you know she will quickly establish similarly with potential buyers. A great regular communicator, always have rang with feedback the day after a viewing, and when she could not get in touch with the viewer she would still ring to keep you updated. Gave great advice on sales strategy through out the process as did the rest of the team at the office. Prior to assigning Andrews, my house was on the market with another well known bs30 local estate for over 18 months and the house felt unsaleable, but from the moment we assigned Andrews interest in the house significantly increased, with high quality viewings and it felt like finding a buyer was just around the corner which turned out tot ve true. His professionalism really stood out, and we always appreciated his clear communication (not to mention his brilliant baritone voice on the phone!). Highly recommend!

So far, part way through my sale, I can honestly say I feel I chose the correct estate agent.- 13th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)We purchased a house through Connells and we were dealing with Tracey who was absolutely amazing. We had a long stressful process due to our buyer and even though Connells weren't acting on behalf of us she always went above and beyond to help us and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Had such a positive attitude consistently and was always willing to listen to what I liked and didn’t about a property.
