Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

23rd Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.

20th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Having rented a property managed by Nicholls Tyreman, I can confidently say that our experience with this company has been absolutely appalling.<br>Throughout our tenancy, we experienced repeated maintenance problems, including issues with shutters and blinds, hot water, a fly infestation and the upkeep of the grounds. Getting matters addressed was often a frustrating process involving repeated chasing.<br>Despite these issues, when it came to renewing our tenancy, we were faced with demands for a substantial rent increase and ultimately a Section 21 notice when we could not agree terms.<br>However, the worst part of our experience came when we vacated the property.<br>Having paid a significant deposit, Nicholls Tyreman sought to deduct an astonishing sum for redecoration, woodwork and for flooring.<br>It is remarkable how maintenance issues can be so difficult to resolve during a tenancy, yet when a tenant leaves, thousands of pounds of alleged remedial work suddenly becomes necessary.<br>The entire experience has left us with the impression that the interests of tenants come a very distant second.<br>I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through Nicholls Tyreman to document absolutely everything, retain every email, photograph the property's condition and be extremely cautious when it comes to their deposit.<br>We have rented properties before and have never experienced anything quite like this.<br>In my opinion, the professionalism, fairness and standard of customer service have been completely unacceptable.<br>I would never use Nicholls Tyreman again and would strongly advise prospective tenants to consider other agents.<br>One star is one too many.

Particularly re-confirming our viewing appointment.<br>When showing us around the flat Jonathan was very thorough and left out nothing. In the office Ella Burnham and the rest of the team who contacted us were great. They made it a very easy process and we would highly recommend them.

3rd Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)My partner and I have rented our flat in Harrogate with Linley & Simpson since 2017, and have now decided to relocate and move into our flat next year.<br><br>I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone we've worked with over the years, and to thank Linley & Simpson for making our rental experience a really enjoyable one. The rental team have been truly amazing in quickly arranging viewings, and completing all the relevant paperwork, so that our flat was hardly ever empty.<br><br>The maintenance department have also been superb. The way the team have looked after our flat and taken care of all the various maintenance issues and problems we've had has been truly exemplary. It's not always easy when you're renting out your future home in another part of the country, but it's a lot easier when you have the support of a wonderful team you can trust.<br><br>It’s almost impossible to list all of the people who’ve helped and supported us over the years but Charlotte Thomson, Myah Dhanak, Katie Hardstaff, Zara Cunningham, Anthony Metcalfe, Nicola Walton, Lauran Taylor and Rhys Dandy are just a few of the key people who deserve a mention.<br><br>Thank you once again to everyone for supporting us over the last 9 years and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Linley & Simpson to anyone renting in Harrogate and the surrounding areas. 20th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Professional<br>I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.<br>Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.<br>Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. 17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Polished marketing and a “boutique” label did not translate into the service or value we expected. The photographs and brochure were well presented, but our overall experience was disappointing. We trusted their initial pricing advice. Although the starting price was proposed as a short trial, the substantial reductions that followed and the eventual sale price left us questioning, in hindsight, the realism and quality of that advice. The eventual buyers first viewed through this agency. We ended their instruction without an offer having been secured through them, and another agent subsequently negotiated the sale and handled its progression to completion. Given the high fee, we expected much more from the advice, personal support and service provided. In our view, the fee was disproportionate to their contribution to the completed sale. Based on our experience, we would not recommend them.
