Ben Baker was excellent from first meeting through to eventual Completion - polite, reliable and efficient, as also were Ceri and his support team. Moving after 34 years was always going to be challenging, but Hamptons made the whole process much easier for us. We are glad we chose them.
6th Feb 2021 (5 years ago)The Covid pandemic has not made it easy to sell our beautiful 17th century cottage with having to make many challenging decisions along the way! However, with Harry Sheppard's expert help, this challenge was made much easier: always supportive at the other end of the phone, he encouraged us through a couple of fallen-through sales! Our 62 viewings were expertly managed by three of Knight Frank representatives, Patti, Philippa & Sara, with wonderful communications left at all times. At the end of 15 months, the team felt like part of our family! We highly recommend Knight Frank Oxford for their competitiveness, professionalism, friendliness and patience. Many, many thanks to you all!

25th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)David spent his whole Sunday sorting out a problem that we had with one of our properties! They are always very efficient and helpful … we have worked with them for many years and are very happy with the service !!!
8th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)Very disappointing experience and serious concerns about transparency.<br>We applied to rent 1 Compton Manor while arranging an international move. We were accepted as tenants, paid a holding deposit, received a draft tenancy agreement and underwent referencing and credit checks.<br>We were then informed that the owner had agreed to sell the property and our tenancy would not proceed. We subsequently discovered that the property had been marketed for sale by Warmingham only 1 month before it was advertised to let.<br>We made a formal complaint because neither of us had understood that the property we were applying to rent was actively for sale. Warmingham later stated that their agent recalled verbally telling us this during the viewing. This is completely inconsistent with our recollection: we clearly remember being told that the neighbours property within the six-home development was vacant and for sale, not 1 Compton Manor.<br>After we disputed Warmingham's account in writing, we received no further response or final outcome to our formal complaint.<br>Had we known the property was actively for sale, it would have materially affected our decision to proceed with the deposit, referencing and credit checks.<br>Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Warmingham. We believe the property's dual sale/rental status should have been made absolutely clear before we were asked to commit to the rental process.<br>Prospective tenants are looking for stable homes and often have little room for uncertainty once they begin committing money, time and personal information to a property. In our view, allowing tenants to progress this far without making the risk of an ongoing sale unmistakably clear takes unfair advantage of that imbalance and falls well short of the transparency we would expect from a professional estate agent.

I felt that when meeting with the various agents recommended by get agent, he arrived prepared with information about my house and a strategy. A good and patient communicator throughout what can be a tricky project. Everyone i spoke with at the agency was like this. 30th Jul 2026 (25 days ago)I would strongly advise others to think very carefully before renting through this agency, based on my experience.<br>When we offered the full asking price for the property, the agent told us there was another interested party and asked whether we wanted to increase our offer. Under pressure to secure somewhere to live, we raised our offer by £100. We were then told the supposed other party had increased their offer again. When we refused to go any higher, the other interest suddenly disappeared. The whole process left us feeling uncomfortable and questioning how the situation had been handled.<br><br>On moving in, the property was in far worse condition than expected. It was dirty, several pieces of furniture were broken or unusable, and we even found rubbish behind one of the beds. Some essential items—like oven racks and the dishwasher—were missing or not working. It took around six months before certain issues were acknowledged at all. Discovering that the carbon monoxide alarm did not function was particularly alarming and made us feel that tenant safety was not being prioritised.<br><br>The moving-out process was equally frustrating. Despite repeatedly asking about our deposit, we were told the landlord was “not available,” which stalled the process until we escalated it through the deposit protection scheme. During that process, we received claims from the landlord that we strongly disagreed with, including allegations about furniture disposal when, from our perspective, the item had only been moved between rooms. The total amount claimed was significantly higher than the deposit itself, which we found extremely unreasonable. Also the agency has been very unhelpful in regards of getting into contact with the landlord, eventhough he is an employee of the agency.<br><br>Based on all of this, our experience with this agency was overwhelmingly negative, and I personally would not rent through them again

His attention to detail, professionalism and depth of knowledge are exceptional. With the significant changes brought about by the Renters' Rights Act, I found it increasingly difficult to keep up with the ever-changing legislation and compliance requirements whilst managing my portfolio myself. David's guidance and expertise have been invaluable throughout this transition. 18th Jun 2026 (10 weeks ago)We had a great experience buying our first home in Bicester through Hunters.<br><br>As first-time buyers, we honestly did not know much about the process at the beginning, but Rachel, Jenny and Phil were incredibly helpful throughout. They supported us from the first viewing all the way to completion, and even afterwards with various follow-up matters.<br><br>It was a chain of four parties, but we still managed to complete in around 10 weeks from offer to completion. This would not have been possible without their dedicated help, timely and clear communication, as well as professional support.<br><br>A big thank you to the Hunters Bicester team. Highly recommended!

The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
