Tim Stanley was excellent.

12th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Our purchase of a property in Winslow through Alexander & Co was a positive experience - and Madelaine Thompson, who accompanied us for most of the journey, was always bright, positive and helpful. Others in the team stepped in when Madelaine was not available, and maintained the positive experience for us. The agent, of course, works for the vendor - but Alexander & Co had the purchaser's interests clearly in focus, and did their best to smooth over issues when they arose during the process.

It was easy to get hold of them, to ask questions and arrange viewings, and they kept us up to date. Would definitely recommend.

23rd Jul 2025 (9 mo. ago)Philip May's genuine enthusiasm for the property we were selling, and his ability to sell Hodsons' services sold Hodsons to me as the estate agent to choose to sell a family home. The subsequent progress has been excellent, with a well-qualified buyer lined up within weeks. The only criticism I have is that a 'For Sale' sign was erected in the garden of the property which was unoccupied, and I had specifically asked for no sign.

From the outset, Kaine was highly professional, responsive, and clearly committed to ensuring the transaction progressed as smoothly as possible. What stood out most was his reliability and communication. He kept me consistently informed at every stage of the process, was quick to respond to queries, and was proactive in following up with all parties involved. This level of engagement made a significant difference in what can often be a complex and time-sensitive transaction. Kaine demonstrated a strong understanding of the conveyancing process and coordinated effectively between solicitors, the seller, and other stakeholders. Even when delays arose outside of his control, he remained calm, pragmatic, and solution-oriented, helping to keep momentum and avoid unnecessary hold-ups. Overall, I would highly recommend Kaine to anyone going through a property purchase. His professionalism, efficiency, and commitment to seeing the deal through make him a real asset to Thomas Merrifield.
30th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)Richard Cottrell I decided to sell my building plot and knowing the excellent service Jack and his team provides at the Grove office I spoke him. He suggested I contacted James Merrifield at there Oxford branch to discuss my options. I felt very confident with the advise he gave me on the sale process so I instructed him to proceed. like all good sales things did not go as planed, but James was with me 100% of the way sorting all the obstacles to achieve the sale. A big thank you for your help James and the professional service you provided. I would highly recommend Thomas Merrifield.
22nd Apr 2026 (16 days ago)We had an outstanding experience with Luke and Olivia at Michael Graham Buckingham. Luke provided excellent advice on pricing within the local market and listed our property at the very end of 2025. Within just four weeks and multiple viewings, we had accepted an offer, and ten weeks later the sale was completed. Our smooth and stress-free experience is a real testament to Luke and Olivia, who kept us fully informed at every stage, handling all communication with the buyer and swiftly dealing with any questions, ensuring that nothing held up the sale. Olivia was always lovely to speak to, and her attention to detail and personal approach were much appreciated. For anyone considering a move in or around Buckingham, we would wholeheartedly recommend Michael Graham.
21st Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)We called twice and on each occasion left a message so that the responsible person or team could get in touch regarding a property valuation. On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.
18th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)Dreadful experience from start to finish with Stuart Burtenshaw. Firstly his arrogant aura came across as mocking the way my parents lived when he came to view the property for a probate valuation. I didn't want to put the house on the market because of this but one of my siblings thought that seeing as they knew George Rockall all would be ok - how wrong could they have been...... Stuart Burtenshaw is the most arrogant, rude, unempathetic, person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. He made mistakes throughout the process, he was pushy to except an offer of £70K less than the asking price when our property had only been on the market for less than 8 weeks....needless to say we did not accept it. When he asked which solicitors we used and then advised that they used Lightfoots regularly, which in turn led us to believe he understood their processes, again how wrong could I be.... the actual completion day was an absolute horrendous and very upsetting day, we were advised by our solicitors not to hand over the keys until the solicitors had called us to advise they had received the monies, we received this call at 1pm on the day of completion, followed by a very nasty & pushy call from Stuart Burtenshaw at 1.05pm asking when we could drop the keys in when I said 30 minutes I was told that was totally unacceptable and he demanded to know how long it would be as the new owners had been at the estate agents at 10am...... This we thought was not our problem and Stuart should have known Lightfoots proceedures, and dealt with it accordingly, I asked for 10 minutes, instead he suggested that he just send them down to our house, next thing 5 vans and 2 cars arrived and new owners wanted to come in..... We had no time to say goodbye to our family home of 61 years......... Bitterly disappointed doesn't cover it, my advice would be DO NOT use White Lion to sell a property and if you have to then avoid Stuart Burtenshaw at all cost.

What really stood out was their attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high standard of service—they genuinely go above and beyond for their clients. A truly 5-star experience! ?????- 25th Apr 2026 (13 days ago)Hodsons found a buyer for my property with the help of Anita Smith at good price with excellent communication throughout the viewing and offer acceptance process. My buyer was a naive first time buyer who chose a terrible solicitor (Premier Property Lawyers) who presented multiple challenges throughout the convencying process such as absent communication, missed deadlines and bad paperwork. However, Hodsons with Lesley Fenwick and Kerry Nichols provided excellent support and communication to chase the buyer and their solicitor throughout the convencying process to push through the sale.
