8th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)I'm taking the time to edit this here, as I said to the assistant letting manager today after chatting about the earlier review.<br><br>Update: It was good to meet in person and get clarification.<br><br>To add some context, I went to the agency to receive some support, and as I entered the office, I asked for the assistant letting manager as they were involved in our Tenant Switch process. The person in question was super helpful explaining the concept of group of landlords, which can sometimes make the process a little longer - that is something I completely understand now. Thank you.<br><br>Finally, the assistant letting manager after supporting me, asked me about the one-star review I had left (see below) and took the time to explain to me they were on annual leave and hadn't been told about the calls received from us.<br><br>They really tried to get to the bottom of this and to understand who had tried to direct us in the meantime. I apologized for our lack of awareness and actually felt sorry that they had to come back to these more emotionally-charged requests, when it was actually the admin team process that took a very long time to handle everything.<br><br>The conclusion is that we are back on track with a reliable person who showed great patience and care to keep us happy and feel respected and heard :) I'm leaving this new score even not a high one for how the episode had been handled when the person was on annual leave and "callbacks before eod" that were overpromised by others (when it wasn't actually possible). It was much better to have full transparency, thank you and all the best!<br><br>First review:<br><br>After no reply and us chasing for a month and not getting callbacks when we were told we would ( 7 times ), we get the most unapologetic email back from assistant lettings manager. It just makes one feel treated like dogs who are begging for the simplest professional treatment. I had to insist and insist on one last phone call to say how worried we were, and that we didn’t mind coming to the branch in person if it helped, in order to be taken seriously.<br><br>We really hope that other SF tenants who have been put in the hands of the assistant letting manager in question will receive better and more humane support.

Searching for a new home is even more stressful…<br><br>Last year, while searching for a new home in the Cotswolds, we had the good fortune to meet Tanya Hall from Carter Jonas Oxford. As well as having an incredible ability to showcase special properties, she is a master in the art of matchmaking tenants to landlords. She innately understands that for certain properties it is all about the relationship rather than simply getting a “deal” done.<br><br>Tanya was remarkably thoughtful and adept at helping us get to know our landlord and her team during the vetting phase. She was clear, transparent and always available to guide us through the process. At every point of the negotiation we felt heard and understood by Tanya.<br><br>Now almost a year into our tenancy, we could not be happier with our decision and as a distinct bonus, our landlords have become dear friends.<br><br>We could not be more thrilled with Tanya’s level of service. We would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new dream home in the Cotswolds.

After my previous tenant gave notice, Ruby was quick to let me know and quickly found a range of excellent potential tenants. She moved quickly to ensure all contracts were signed and her communication with me was excellent. The new tenant moved in the day after the flat was vacated, and Ruby even arranged for gas inspection/certificate on same day. A superb managed-service. I had a truly great experience finding my accommodation with them, and particularly with Lucy, who went above and beyond to make the whole process as quick, clear and smooth as possible. We felt they were very fair with their estimated value of our property and honest all the way through the selling process. We were fortunate to deal with all the staff from the Kidlington office and found them all very polite and caring. 9th Oct 2026 (18 days ago)I started as a landlord where Andrews had been superb as our managing agents and then progressed to selling the property with Andrews (Headington)<br>The sales team were professional ,knowledgeable,easy to deal with and patient In a difficult market with a challenging lawyer buyer we achieved a sale at the appropriate price in a challenging market and all in under 1 month after the formal offer was received ]<br>I would thoroughly recommend them- 9th May 2026 (24 weeks ago)I came into the office recently to find out some information and ask a few questions about properties, and I was lucky enough to be helped by Grace from sale and Tom from lettings. From the start, they were friendly, approachable, and really took the time to understand my situation.<br><br>Grace made the whole mortgage process feel a lot less overwhelming. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt confident at every step. Nothing ever felt rushed, and I genuinely felt like she had my best interests in mind.<br><br>Thanks to her help, I was able to move forward with getting my mortgage, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Complete waste of our time and a shocking response afterwards.<br><br>I arranged to view a property on McLean Drive in Oxford on Saturday 17th October at 10am with an estate agent named Ibrar Hussain.<br><br>I made it very clear to Ibrar that we were travelling two hours specifically for this viewing, and he agreed to meet us at the property at 10am.<br><br>We got two children up early on a Saturday morning, made the two-hour journey to Oxford and arrived as arranged. Unfortunately, Ibrar was nowhere to be seen.<br><br>We waited outside the property until 10:20am, but nobody arrived. No phone call, no apology, no explanation. Just a completely wasted morning and a four-hour round trip.<br><br>What has annoyed me even more is receiving an email this morning from Ibrar Hussain claiming that he was at the property from 10am until 10:30am and had waited half an hour for us!<br><br>I find this absolutely astonishing, as we were physically at the property during that time. I also have photographic evidence to support our account of events.<br><br>Mistakes happen, appointments get missed, and people occasionally get their wires crossed. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is having our account of events contradicted and being made to feel as though we were the ones who failed to turn up.<br><br>A simple apology and an attempt to put things right would have gone a long way. Instead, Ibrar’s response has made an already frustrating experience considerably worse.<br><br>When people are considering renting a property, particularly when relocating from another area, they should be able to rely on estate agents to honour agreed appointments and communicate professionally.<br><br>This experience has left me extremely disappointed. Our time, fuel and effort were completely wasted, and the response afterwards demonstrated, in my opinion, a complete lack of accountability
