5th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)Appalling handling of tenancy deposit — avoid We vacated our property at Masters Court, Harrow on 30 January 2026 in good condition, and over a month later we have still not received our deposit back. The handling of this entire process by Connells has been deeply disappointing. Despite sending multiple emails and attempting to call numerous times, we have received nothing but vague responses saying they are "still liaising with the former landlord." No clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability. Phone calls have gone unanswered, and no direct contact number has been provided despite requests. The items flagged in the checkout report are standard fair wear and tear under TDS guidelines — minor wall marks, limescale build-up typical of Harrow's hard water, None of these justify withholding our deposit. To make matters worse, wife is 24 weeks pregnant, and the unnecessary financial stress caused by this prolonged delay has had a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. This is completely unacceptable. We have now raised a formal dispute through the tenancy deposit scheme, which should never have been necessary. We have never experienced such poor deposit handling with any previous letting agency. If you are a prospective tenant — be warned. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

The team managed to keep me informed of progress and helped to speed things along at critical moments when blockages appeared. A friendly and thoroughly professional experience and would recommend Gibbs Gillespie for your house sale or purchase from them.

From valuation to exchange they have maintained communication and helped ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Alfie, who undertook viewings, managed to secure me several offers, of which one was accepted within 10 days of my property being marketed for sale. Selling a house can be extremely stressful but the team at Coppers manage the process so professionally. I wouldn’t hesitate using them in the future.

Particularly, Dana and Anna have been very helpful and had an effective communication. Me, my friend and my cousin had dealt three properties and we have had the same brilliant experience. 19th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)My husband and I bought a house through Charles David Casson a couple years back and they were the worst part of the process. Their communication was poor from start to finish. They recommended the worst solicitors, DO NOT go for the solicitor they recommend. They failed to adequately arrange viewings and made the process HELL. At several points I had to request their manager to intervene, who was equally useless. If you enjoy stress and headache, you can go for them. If the seller had not been so lovely and accommodating, we would not have got this sale over the line. We literally did all the work whilst they twiddled their thumbs and wasted our time. After the sale went through, they’ve been harassing me periodically to give a valuation of the house- in case I want to sell. Haunting me even to this day.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)I recently sold my house in Hemel and I can't recommend Orchid enough - and one person in particular: Jacob. He was on board throughout the whole process - from valuation and viewings, liaising with other agents, right through to the final sale. It makes a huge difference dealing with one person, and he was always on hand to answer my (sometimes quite daft!) questions and to offer advice. He was realistic, professional and always sensitive to my needs and requirements. He 's also an extremely nice guy - which always helps! I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the quick sale of my house meant I was able to purchase my new home much more easily. I have already recommended Jacob and Orchid to friends and family in the area and I have no hesitation in spreading the word further afield. So thank you Orchid.. Dipesh and the team managed to secure a tenant within a couple of weeks of going live on the market. Shivani was excellent.. efficient and professional keeping me updated all the way and managed all the essential paperwork. She ensured a stress free process until the end. If you're looking for an agent who delivers fast, reliable and super friendly staff look no further .. Coopers is the one.

I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!
