15th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)I wasn't overly impressed by the estate agent. While they were upfront about the market and the difficulty in selling, I don't believe they were actively engaged in the marketing of the property. While presence for viewings, I felt that the agent showing lack knowledge of the properly and area with the owners really providing the viewing. When recieving an offer, there was an underlying pressure to accept a bid which was well below our expectations and only through our push back we were able to get a more satisfactory offer. Something I don't think we could have got with the guidance of the estate agent
10th Jan 2026 (17 weeks ago)From my dealings with this estate agency, they are staffed by real people who genuinely care. It is such a refreshing change from the likes of Dexters. I would not hesitate to use them if you want a genuine service tailored to your needs
13th Apr 2026 (27 days ago)Justin the agent was very helpful in helping me secure the flat, organised a viewing same day and helped reassure me as a student that it was possible. Cal, a other member of staff, was also very supportive throughout the process. As always with agencies, it can be scary handing your money over for holding deposits and you have to bear in mind that making money is the primary objective. So far I am very happy with Black Katz services and hope throughout my tenancy we can operate as a team in conjunction with the land lord. Thank you for your help so far, would reccomend.

4th May 2026 (6 days ago)Barnard Marcus is an awful company, treating customers as they please. They may start ignoring you, not responding to calls and emails, never fulfil their promises and delay the return of your deposit. Lack of their internal communication between Sutton and Leighton Buzzard branches are laughable. One branch tells you one thing, another branch something else. They can't even make an effort by talking to each other. Avoid at all cost.
1st Apr 2026 (6 weeks ago)We recently purchased our new home via Bairstow Eves, the Kenley branch, and we can’t speak highly enough of Maxine and the team who oversaw all aspects of our purchase. From the initial viewing all the way through to collecting the keys Maxine was on hand to support us, always contactable and kept us updated throughout. During what was a stressful time for us, we really appreciated the level of service we received and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this branch to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling. You made the process much easier for us. Thank you for all your help throughout. Suzanne, John and Amelia from our new home.

There was less than one hour between Rebecca responding to my inquiry and my viewing with Tiffany was less! I was extremely pleased with their fast replies and professionalism, I definitely recommend starting here if you’re planning a move.
5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!
16th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)My partner and I have just purchased our first home in Rainham. We have met with a few estate agents in the area but found Patterson Hawthorne to be the best. In particular David, he’s been fantastic throughout and has been there from the beginning of our journey and has helped us get to the finish line with the purchase of our property. He has been an active support for us during this process and we cannot thank him enough. We have enjoyed our experience with PH, in particular with David, so much so that we have said if we look to buy a house in the future, we would go straight to PH.
1st Feb 2022 (4 years ago)I reviewed good service from then although it wasn’t very perfect. It was a little bit hard sometimes to get through to some agents sometimes but apart from that I receive excellent service.

The viewing for a 1?bedroom flat in Elephant & Castle was arranged the same day, quickly and efficiently, and the property matched all my expectations. The agent was exceptionally professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. Everything felt very well organised, which made the whole process easy and stress?free.

16th Dec 2025 (21 weeks ago)Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I booked a viewing last week and this morning checked the online listing, which was still showing the original price. However, when I arrived to view the property, I was informed that the price had been increased at the last minute. While I understand that online listings can change, surely a basic courtesy would be to contact prospective viewers to let them know about any price changes, so they can decide whether they still want to attend. This felt like a complete waste of time. Furthermore, their website claims that all rooms are en-suite, but in reality only one room had a proper en-suite bathroom. The other six rooms only have showers and no toilet facilities, which is very misleading. I strongly urge the management to be more transparent and respectful towards potential tenants.

Communication was great and made me feel very comfortable. I also had communication with George and Marianne too, they were great to deal with. I would highly recommend using their in house mortgage broker, James Sturch. The experience I had with James with second to none. Top guy, highly recommended! Great estate agents, 5 star service!
7th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with OpenHomes, particularly with Pratik, who was one of the least helpful agents I have dealt with. I reported serious issues with my property in October, including an unstable toilet, unsafe bathroom flooring, and lack of proper hot water. Despite these being essential facilities, there was no urgency in addressing them. Communication was poor throughout. I repeatedly followed up and agreed to multiple proposed dates for repairs, but these were delayed or cancelled with no clear updates. At one point, I had to go months without being able to properly use the toilet flush and had to rely on manual alternatives. Even when additional issues like damp and mould developed, the response remained slow and uncoordinated. Requests for written confirmation or reasonable support were also not handled properly. Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and dismissive of tenant concerns, especially given the seriousness of the issues. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider before renting through this agency. They don’t care about tenants.

They were really fast with their responses and Nick was especially brilliant in sorting everything out and giving advice. I would recommend them to anyone looking to rent or to let. Thank you
