We're first time sellers, so we were grateful for their extra guidance especially during a turbulent housing market. After a slow-ish start (mainly due to factors outside of our control), HF secured us a final offer we were really happy with. For various reasons we've decided not to sell yet, but look forward to working with them again next spring.

Their approach is subtle rather than pushy! And the recent sale bagged us a better price (even with a reduction) than other agents even valued the house at. I would recommend them without hesitation.

His professional approach and friendly manner is what helped me get through the process. He was transparent even when I wanted things to go quicker. He kept me in a realistic mindset which meant my expectations were appropriate adjusted for the relevant stages of buying a property with some complications. We got there in the end and it was well worth the wait. Thank you Ben!

Everything was very clear from the beginning so, we knew what to expect, they were flexible and extremely helpful and accommodating.<br><br>Special shout out to Jack who photographed the property and had it online the same day and Sam who accompanied us on viewings. Both really professional and helpful.<br><br>Highly recommended!

They were very trustworthy and always had good comunication with the owners. Very polite and proffessional. It was nice to have genuine and honest feedback. Too many estate agents are just chasing sales at any cost. Nayler Powell in Newent work with the owners 100% Everyone always made time to support me during the time i was selling my house with them. Whether its about the market or how best to present my home to get the best interest. EG New ideas and updating any pictures if needed.<br>Easily the best estate agent in the Newent area.<br>George Noon

11th Apr 2026 (12 weeks ago)We recently bought a house through Wilkie May & Tuckwood (which was not planned as we did have another house purchase lined up but for reasons outside of our control (very slow third parties…) this didn’t go through). Our chain below was ready to exchange but our purchase was nowhere near ready, so we had to make the decision to look at other properties as our chain looked as if it would fall apart if there was no progression. We found a house listed with Wilkie which my wife and I did fall in love with when we visited. We explained our situation to Thea and advised we would need to get the purchase through as quick as possible to try and keep our chain together. In record time (8 weeks) the house sale was through and we’ve now moved in and beginning to enjoy our new lives. Throughout the process, Richard, Thea, Mark and Vicky were incredibly helpful, responsive and friendly. I have no doubt in my mind that their work on this purchase is a big part of the reason why we were able to get the purchase through and save our chain in such a quick time. Even after the purchase had gone through, the team at Wilkie have still been willing to help with queries and questions we have about the local area and services. Honestly, if you’re looking at a house being marketed to through these guys you’re in safe hands. This is clearly a company who take pride in their work and the local area. We felt valued as buyers which was very refreshing. Thanks for everything you’ve done for our family!

It was a particularly difficult time for me in the midst of a traumatic divorce. Lily Creighton was amazingly supportive throughout the sale process and went above and beyond to ensure that the process was as painless and stress free as it could have been for myself and my son. Lily Creighton advocated throughout for myself at times when I struggled to do so for myself and worked tirelessly to ensure that both myself and my son came out of a very difficult situation in a much more positive one. I recently purchased a cottage through Connells in Dorchester. My point of contact throughout the process of buying the house, was again the Manager of Dorchester Connells. Lily Creighton. Lily was an absolute font of knowledge throughout the whole process, aways easy to contact and responded really quickly to any concerns or queries that I had. Nothing ever felt to be too much trouble and even at some of the more challenging moments, I felt that I was in very safe and capable hands with Lily. She was hugely professional throughout my time with Connells to the point where knowing that she was involved with the sale actually encouraged my purchase, as I knew that it would be handled professionally. Could not recommend or praise Lily Creighton and her team enough. Thank you Lily for all your hard work on both occasions, am very grateful !

However, she was trustworthy and facilitated honest and open conversations throughout the process. Her professionalism and transparency stood out, and she is the only agent at Palmer Snell I would choose to do business with.
