They ignore all your emails until your tenancy renewal is due, at which point you’ll be sure to receive an email demanding more money for the rent if you wish to stay. This will be the only time you can expect any replies from them and even then it’s an uphill battle. Be warned.
20th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)I’ve had the pleasure of working with Russell Simpson, and in particular Ali Carter, over a 14-year tenancy at Upper Cheyne Row in Chelsea and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the experience has been consistently professional, responsive, and genuinely collaborative. Ali has been a pleasure to deal with throughout, always approachable, efficient, and thoughtful in her communication. Over such a long tenancy, what stood out most was the level of trust, continuity, and mutual respect maintained on all sides. The recent end of tenancy process was handled seamlessly and in a very fair and constructive manner, which I greatly appreciated. It’s rare to find this level of service and consistency over such a long period, and I would not hesitate to recommend Ali and the wider Russell Simpson team to anyone looking for a high-quality, well-managed experience in Prime Central London. They offered advice but gave us space to make our own decisions. They were proactive in marketing and scheduling viewings and we have accepted an offer of the asking price.

They might not be very visible at first but they did their best to resolve our major flat issues. We didn’t have any problems communicating with them and their lines are always open. Even though he didn’t have to, he stepped in and helped us through our buying process while we were selling our property with another estate agent. His guidance, patience, and generosity with his time made such a difference for us. He made what could have been a very stressful experience feel far more manageable and reassuring.

Amir for reassuring me every step of the way and the move managers for such excellent communication with bytes and solicitors. A really efficient set up hence it is the second purchase I have made with this company. Thank you!

I had to move out within just over two weeks, and even when he got lost trying to find the property, he waited until my partner and I arrived and gave us a full tour. He was fast, transparent, and clear with every step of the renting process. He patiently waited for my workplace to confirm my start date and reassured me throughout. He has been my direct point of contact whenever anything has come up, and since moving in at the end of February, everything has been peaceful. Truly grateful for his support.
