27th Apr 2026 (12 days ago)There are Estate Agents and then there is Spencer Darrington. He really is a league above every other Estate Agent I have come across. Personal but professional. Sold our house within a week which has been on the market for over a year. We moved on to exchange and completion which was done in 16 weeks with Spencer checking in everyday with the whole chain working tirelessly to get it finalised as I had a deadline. So if you want your house sold efficiency and effectively I would use Spencer at Curcholds every time.

17th Dec 2025 (20 weeks ago)We are so glad we chose the Knight Frank team in Cobham to sell our house! Dan Miller was outstanding managing a tight timeline. He was communicative, proactive and highly professional, liaising closely with the buyers and all parties, to ensure everyone was aligned and working towards an agreed tight completion date, that was achieved before Christmas! Dan really made a difference in making this happen. Dans knowledge of the local market and ability to deal with any tricky situation gave us a lot of confidence. His calm and considered approach, in particular, made what can often be a stressful process feel easy and reassuring from start to finish.

His valuation was accurate and the marketing information for the property was comprehensive. Sandra in the sales aftercare team kept us up to date and pursued solicitors when necessary, providing us with background information on the process. All in all we were really pleased with the Stirling Ackroyd team and their friendly and efficient service.

13th Apr 2026 (26 days ago)I’m writing this on behalf of a friend to share a really disappointing and concerning experience with Knight Frank regarding a rental property in Bracknell/Lyndhurst. The property was originally listed at £3,000 pcm. My friend offered the full asking price but was told the landlord wanted to wait as it had just come on the market. Fair enough. Two months later, the price dropped to £2,800, and she again offered the asking price. At that point, she was asked to provide very personal financial information, including bank statements. Despite complying (with sensitive details redacted), the offer was rejected — with no explanation given. When she asked for feedback, the agent simply didn’t respond. Since then, the monthly rent has reduced further to £2,650. What’s more concerning is that when someone else viewed the property presenting as a “family unit,” they were strongly encouraged to make an offer. This raises serious questions about fairness and transparency in how applicants are being treated. Please note that they did not do any credit checks, and my friend is my boss and earns significantly more than I do. Also her children are in boarding school. So she can afford the rent. No one expects to be guaranteed a property, but basic professionalism, communication, and honesty should be the minimum standard. Ignoring applicants after requesting sensitive personal data is unacceptable. This experience felt dismissive, opaque, and potentially discriminatory. At the very least, applicants deserve clear communication and respect throughout the process. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

The entire house-buying process was handled incredibly quickly and efficiently, which made what can often be a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward.<br><br>They were always responsive and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly, no matter how big or small. I really appreciated how clear and transparent they were at every stage, keeping me updated and ensuring I understood exactly what was happening. I definetly will recommend this firm !

The very kindly contacted the person in question, who in turn contacted me back. They didn't need to help, but they did so and I'm very grateful for that.

Curchods finally sold it and it wasn't for want of trying in a volatile market with so many obstacles. We liked their honesty and keeping us up to date even if sometimes it was something we didn't want to hear. Thank you to West Byfleet staff with a special mention to Jordan, Charlie and Mark.
26th May 2025 (11 mo. ago)Whilst the individuals who work here can be very nice, their enforcement of actioning requests to the landlord to fix issues is sub par, and the landlords they take on are not always nice people. Before taking on the property they promised all carpets and issues with the property would be fixed, they were never even attempted to be fixed. Scaffolding went up all round the property with zero warning, all walkways looked directly into the property. Nothing was explained that there was issues with the roof. Also lost access to parking space that came with the property due to scaffolding placement. Was told it would be up 3-4 weeks maximum however was still there 4 months later when I moved out. Downstairs tenants had major damp issues in their property which the landlord refused to fix. Extremely loud tenants in the property with no action from the landlord to stop it. Drugs being sold in downstairs property, no action from the landlord. Due to insufficient insulation was extremely cold and wind blew throughout, and also meant when roof was worked on everything in storage spaces got covered in debris. Eventually got cleaned after weeks of begging. Did nothing after I received very aggressive phone call directly from the landlord as to when I enquired about the scaffolding and lack of parking. Once again, nice people, but bad management and clientele.

They managed our rental for 11 years extremely efficiently, collecting rent, ensuring property was maintained and guiding us through new tenancies and rent increases. Then they handled the sale of the property, keeping us well informed throughout the process. Extremely proactive and productive, and speedy to react to enquiries. We can thoroughly recommend this company.

6th May 2026 (3 days ago)The process has been remarkably quick and efficient from receiving the Get Agent information on the 3-5 top performing local estate agents, to selecting our Personal Estate agent who has excellent knowledge of the local environment and current sales values. She supported our presentation of the home and her pre-publicity and social media "video teasers" were a highly useful marketing tool. We had received an offer before going to market due to her knowledge of local buyers. We did however wait to open market and have had an offer within 10days!

He came round and discussed potential options without being pushy and just generally offering advice. After changing from a different estate agents to Stirling Ackroyed it was a completely different experience, James and Noah were very good at communicating and we sold very quickly with the help of them. A few hiccups post offer acceptance beyond James and Noah’s control but always easily contactable and friendly. Thank you!
