From the very beginning when Chris from Bernards Waterlooville walked through our front door, he had a professional Yet friendly approach and looked thoroughly at our house to give us a value to sell it at. Bernards instantly set themselves higher in our first impressions than another agent that also valued our property. They instantly got us a load of viewings lined up for the first 2 weeks which was brilliant. And soon enough we had a buyer offering £1k off the asking price. We then got an offer accepted on the property of our dreams. It wasn’t until we lost our buyer whilst we were away for a few days for my fiancé’s 30th birthday where Bernards really showed their real salesperson talents, determination, good customer service and amazing loyalty to helping us find another buyer as soon as possible so we wouldn’t lose the offer on the house we wanted. There was hardly any needing to chase them up, they were on it straight from the moment we had lost our buyer and had a load of further viewings lined up. It even got to the point where the manager was calling round the people who’d viewed our house to see what was missing for them and to persuade them otherwise. He even managed to steal away a couple that were had an offer accepted on another house that was cheaper (although they liked ours more) and persuaded them to drop their offer and raise the bar to meet the offer we would accept. They did this allover a few days to ensure we did not lose the house we so desperately wanted. The worst estate agents I have possibly experienced in my life. They were not professional at all, prior to moving in a property they had the results of my referencing for two weeks, yet told me that they never had it. I was constantly having to chase them up about stuff they should’ve been doing anyway. After moving in, we had issues with the flat, which we went to then about (eg. Broken window, mould in a room) they told us they would talk to the landlord and get back to us within the next two to three days. This happened a number of times, and they never got back to us. After complaining they were saying that they never got round to it, which doesn’t make sense, as they literally said they would sort the issues out straight away! They then contacted me and my flat mates saying we hadn’t paid the rent (we did, it was on our standing order, it always got paid on the day) so we had to prove that it went through. Turns out they lost it and just didn’t check, then they had the audacity to try and charge us for rent delay when we didn’t even delay the rent! Absolutely terrible, stay away from Bernard’s, made my life hell, I’m so glad to be moving away from them

Our sale was more complicated due to the fact we currently live in the USA.
We had our lovely property on the market with another estate agent in Waterlooville for around three months with little interest and only one viewing. I contacted Martin for him to do a quote for us and he really was amazing from the start, answering our emails so promptly, despite the time difference and going out of his way to help us.
Both Chris and Tom were also great once we signed up with Bernards. They made sure they kept us updated constantly and sent everything for approval first (unlike the previous agents). We had multiple viewings as soon as their listing went up and two offers within the first month, one of which we accepted and completed the sale today :)
One thing I would say in particular with Martin and the rest of the team is that they were very honest the whole way through the process which we really appreciate. They really understand the local market so be guided by them on the price you should ask.
My sister has also bought a house through Waterlooville Bernards and experienced the same high level of service. I wouldn't doubt to recommend these guys. Thank you Martin and team :)

***STOP*** If you’re looking for a Personal, Professional and Honest Estate Agents i can’t recommend Tom, Martin and the Bernards Waterlooville team highly enough!
My sale and purchase ended up being quite drawn out (due to others in the chain) but every step of the way Tom and the team knew what was going on before i even asked for an update, they’d pro-actively reach out to me first with the information when other estate agents went quiet, they listened to me as a customer and not as just “another sale” the’re trying to get through the books.
They ALWAYS call you back, They ALWAYS email you with and update and they are ALWAYS honest with you.
Obviously i dont plan on moving again anytime soon but i’d only recommend one estate agents in Waterlooville to go with if i did and that’s Bernards.
I have a relative looking to rent their property later in the year and there is again only one place i’ll be taking them to!
