When we decided to sell our property we made the decision to go to another agent, but after many months with limited viewings, we decided to go to Wards (we have used them before, but slightly more expensive). We should have gone with them in the first place as although very slightly higher in price, I am sure we would have sold it earlier. The other agents were lovely, but the difference in the feedback and the knowledge Wards had of how the customers felt about the property, I felt they were trying to sell it and not just letting them in.
Thanks to Shane, Emily, Freya and Graham we have now sold our property.

The whole team are exactly that - a really good TEAM. Super professional and so helpful. The sale has been a nightmare journey, mainly my fault. Not once did they loose patience with me, always on hand to advise. Showed great communication skills. I have called the office so many times, I feel like Emily is my personal PA and Frayer is quick to jump in and help. Graham what a salesman! The best in the business, not many of us can keep up with him, but he knows exactly what is going on and how best to help people. Grace keeps it altogether calmly with her admin skills and David is on hand for mortgage issues. Shane smiles as you walk in and is ready to assist. Great team work

Exceptionally poor communications and even basic human decency. Failed to notify a Section 13 Rent increase then sent a hasty email one month later once prompted by landlord. Taken over a week to verify with DWP (still not completed) and just send copy and paste emails to try and rectify their own mistakes. Would rather have the last lookout on the Titanic in charge rather than Wards, as your ship too will sink....

I bought a flat from Wards 18 years ago. When I discovered a problem with the flat , I popped in hoping for some advice, but not really expecting much after such a long time. The service I received was way beyond expectation.
The girl I spoke to in the office was really helpful and arrannged for Graham to come and examine the flat. Graham took his time assessing the situation and gave advice generously. I had been at my wits end trying to get someone to take the issue seriously, and Graham's time, patience and expertise has been invaluable in pointing my way forward. I have had dealings with other local agents in the distant past, but none offered such professional and supportive service.

We had two visits to the property, and were welcomed by Adam to our second visit.
Adam was so helpful and really sold the property to us, he even envisioned future changes we might make with us, he really embraced the showing and is probably the reason we decided to make an offer. Again at this stage Adam was so helpful in negotiation an offer for us and arranging a consultation with Steve.
We were kept in the loop throughout the offer process and had a great meeting with Graham to ensure everything was in place to put us in the best position to purchase.
Since the offer was accepted we have been in the very capable hands of Maria whom ensure we're provided with weekly updates and chasing solicitors on our behalf. We also used wards recommended solicitor at Martin Tolhurst.

If you are a renter with pets and looking for a rental property through Wards my advice is don’t bother as you are penalised for having pets when they choose an applicant for a property.

I’ve worked with most of the estate agents in Herne Bay and Whitstable - from viewings to sale and progression they are hands down, the best.
You measure a company by what they do when things go wrong - I had solicitor trouble with an historical mistake on a lease which meant a 3 year delay on my ability to sell. Not Wards fault. At my original sale, they were genuinely sympathetic - I even asked for life advice from a manager when I was forced to withdraw from selling????
When the lease was finally sorted I returned to Wards and they looked after everything, the progression contact was particularly excellent.
Hugely recommended, don’t fall for the gumpf and flannel you get from most of our Estate agents, I think Wards are actual authentic human beings!!

I had the pleasure of being shown a unique property by the delightful Grace, from the Herne Bay Lettings Team.
The property stirred up a cauldron of interest within hours of listing. I've seen this sort of thing before. Most agents, resting on their laurels and more interested in devouring their afternoon kit kat chunky, deal with you all haphazardly and flimsy, safe in the knowledge that someone will volunteer as lettings tribute and take on the property mantle.
Grace was different. Clearly focused on incredible customer service and doing good work, Grace dealt with my enquiry like it was her own.
On the day of the viewings, there were undoubtedly myriad people scheduled in to see the property. Usually, with viewings like this, agents I've had the pleasure of meeting present so motionless and devoid of life energy, that after a few minutes, I end up wondering if i'd mistaken them for a hat stand, and indeed the property came part-furnished. Imagine that, realising i'd been speaking to a hat stand all this time!
Grace was not a hat stand.
She was all joyful and attentive and responsive and helpful. She knew about the property and the owner and the answers to the little questions you only think of when you're walking around (like, 'where can I house my pet llama?').
Well done Grace! And after the viewing, Grace got in touch with me. Imagine that? And she dealt with the process and questions smoothly and with wizard like dexterity. And even when I decided against the property, she spoke to me with care and thoughtfulness and customer service baked in, and referred me to a team member for my change in plans.
So there you have it. I think we can safely conclude, not all estate agents are hat stands. Some of them are people. Some of them are more helpful than a delicious roast dinner on a rainy Sunday. Some of them are called Grace. And seemingly, by some sort of voodoo magic, a cluster of them seem to have taken up sanctuary in Wards! Well done Wards!

A wonderful experience again with wards Herne Bay, the 2nd time I've bought and sold through Graham in 3 years. They managed to get more than we expected via an Open House, but I know there were buyers disappointed they missed out. Looking at a couple of the other reviews I guess that is what happened there. I have never questioned their advice or ethics. Every offer we had was related both on the phone and via email. Ultimately it was my choice who I sold to, and I was keen to meet my buyers....maybe the reviewer before mine met their seller??
My sister is currently looking with Wards too but Tankerton way, they hand delivered brochures to her on Saturday which she loved...

I am trying to purchase a property through WARD & PARTNERS HERNE BAY. I am a cash buyer, have sufficient funds available and shown to the agent. I am living in rented accommodation and am ready to go. In this instance, I do not even need a survey. I have offered £5000 over the (very modest) asking price.They don't answer my calls or my e-mail. The only way, it seems is to go in to the Branch. This morning there were 3 staff present. One on letting, one admin and the third not yet authorised to negotiate. Their negotiator was "out on appointments" and the other was on his "day off".

Instead of sending out reams of e-mails offering properties in which I have not a jot of interest and trying to force a firm of Conveyancers down my throat that I would never in a million years use, why don't you stick to the job in hand?
Employ the number of staff sufficient to deliver your aspirations of:
a professional service...where quality makes all the difference.
Lamentably lacking, Mr Paul Anthony Rooney, from my perspective.

I would NEVER use Ward & Partners Estate Agents again. They are happy to guzzump you (we lost over £500 in Solicitor fees & expenses, let alone the amount of time & effort we had put into our attempted purchase through this branch). They also lied to us & clearly cherry pick their preferred buyers.

Awful branch to deal with, we feel lied to constantly. They do not communicate and make promises they don't keep. I have asked twice for their complaints procedure and ignored both times. Looks like the Ombudsman will have to get involved instead.
I am so glad we never used these guys to sell our house if this is how they treat people! DO NOT USE !

Made an appointment to view a property which was changed for a little later on to suit the estate agent, then they were a no show and left me and my family out in the cold! Possibly the worst estate agent i have dealt with. Even after phoning the office after 15 mins waiting, to see where they were, no apology was made, very bad service.
