Very bad experience with Mart & Co.
The flat looked renovated at first, but it was actually very old with many problems. There was serious mould and water damage on the walls, which made living there very uncomfortable. When we reported the mould, we were told it was our responsibility, even though it was clearly a problem with the property.
There was also an ongoing electricity issue. The person who came to check it told us this was an old problem with the property and that it might never be fully fixed. Despite this, we had to live with it for 8 months.
Whenever we reported problems, we were often blamed instead of being helped. At the end of the tenancy they also started pointing out small issues and blaming us for them.
Overall, this was a very stressful experience and I would not recommend renting through Mart & Co.

So good for so long as a landlord, efficient and helpful. Then it went wrong when difficulties with tenants leaving when I needed to move back in. Feels like the tenants are priority and no attempt to use the accelerated process available, with everything on go slow. If I'm cynical , is this because they are still receiving rent and so earning fee which will stop when I get the house back? Currently feel I have no option but to take over eviction process myself. If you go with them, don't bother with paying for them to deal with evicting tenants, just do it yourself.

Thank you for your response. My concerns relate communication from your staff, which I did not find appropriate or helpful at the time.
I have no intention of being abusive, and I would appreciate the same level of professionalism and understanding in return.
Google reviews exist so customers can share their experiences and provide feedback. If negative feedback is a concern, then perhaps this platform is not the most suitable place to engage with customers.
As this matter is now resolved on my side, I do not wish to take it further, but I hope future tenants are treated more considerately.

Have rented through Martin & Co for nearly a decade now. In September a new Property Manager was assigned to my rental and she has been absolutely wonderful. Jude’s communication is fantastic, she’s extremely prompt and proactive and genuinely a pleasure to speak with.
