20th Nov 2025 (17 weeks ago)We are still mid missives, moving towards exchange of contract day, but so far, it's all been good. I was selling on behalf of my brother with dementia, but they were very understanding and helpful. Advertising etc was good - it was not an easy property to sell, but they did it. All communications have been clear and good. I only did 4 stars for value for money as we are yet to see what the final costs will be. Nonetheless, as I live far away, it was important to have someone deal with everything, swiftly, simply and with clarity.

11th Dec 2025 (14 weeks ago)Don’t understand the criteria of application. My son, owns his own business , his wife & 5 really well mannered level headed kids applied for a property after viewing to be told the “owner” decided they were not suitable? No credit searches, no full application only how many occupants. Is this discrimination against have a large family and assuming they’re reliant on benefits? He has private rented for some 15 years and never missed a payment. Maybe Clyde should work a bit harder to satisfy owners & renters.

24th Dec 2025 (12 weeks ago)Edit: in response to the reply from the Roxburgh group - Since the Roxburgh group are claiming no knowledge.. the landlords names are Fiona and Michael Smyth. I actually dropped my keys on Fiona’s desk at the Stewarton office at the time. They may no longer have any affliation with the Roxburgh group however if they do then certainly avoid this couple. I rented a property with the Roxburgh group between 2022-2023. The landlords were a married couple who also are based in the office. I woke up one morning to the landlord (Mr) standing in my hallway after having posted a handwritten note with his contact number and name on the back of an envelope asking me to call him. He knocked a few times however as I was a single female living alone at the time with no spy hole in the door and wasn’t expecting anyone I chose not to answer. He then assumed I wasn’t home and allowed himself entry to what was my home at the time, giving no legal written notice. I had changed my contact number a couple weeks prior and forgot to update the letting agent, which is my own issue. My email address & next of kin numbers were still valid - none of which were contacted. He used the excuse that he was “worried” about me for illegally entering the property. Very intrusive, I was moved out of that flat within weeks of the incident! Would never feel safe using the Roxburgh group again.

9th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)We recently bought our first home through Welcome Home Ayrshire, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received. Linda and Fiona were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. They were incredibly supportive, patient, and understanding during what turned out to be a stressful time for us. We had some difficulties with our lawyers which meant the purchase had to be put on hold for around 2.5 months, but Linda and Fiona were always reassuring and kept supporting us the whole way through. Today we were supposed to collect our keys, but due to train cancellations we were delayed. When we explained the situation, they were more than happy to wait for us even after working hours, which we truly appreciated. Thank you both for your kindness, professionalism, and outstanding service. You made our first home-buying experience so much smoother, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you did for us. ????????????

23rd Sep 2025 (25 weeks ago)My wife arranged a viewing in New Cumnock, travelled for an hour to get to it and nobody turned up. There was someone in the property but they would not answer the door! Nobody is answering the phone at the office or returning emails. A very, very unprofessional company! Please think before using Glow Homes ….. Wasted time and petrol……**update, now been blocked from their facebook page for stating these facts…..???????????. ***update 2, was phoned by the director who would not take our concerns onboard and was more interested in a bad review to the very poor service we received today. I explained that no one would answer the door to the viewing, so naturally the first step would be to phone the estate agent. No one was answering their phone (turns out the office was closed), we emailed the office to which it took 1 1/2 hours to respond! Not much help there. Me wife and mother in law had travelled some distance for the viewing, so were almost home when they received the email. These are all facts. We asked why they were arraigning viewings when the office was closed and nobody could be contacted on the phone. When the ‘director’ phoned he passed the buck with loads of excuses, these are all facts! We were offered petrol money, but was hung up on before we could arrange this…. Hopefully they take on board our concerns before anyone else is highly inconvenienced………….
15th Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.

She definitely got a fail at the school of charm. Maybe Alan Burke might want to have a chat with how she comes across and it’s definitely not professional by any means!
