8th Apr 2026 (4 weeks ago)We were happy to use Townend Estate Agents from initial valuation appointment. They were quick at getting our property on the market and the photos were excellent. They communicated well and booked viewings that worked for ourselves and the prospective buyers. We had a sale subject to contract within a week of listing. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pro active agent for their property sale.
21st Apr 2026 (18 days ago)They persuaded me to sell with them after massively marking up my home. This meant we were viewing properties out of our reach and that in a matter of weeks they asked for a £20k drop to our asking price. This meant we could not move on as hoped so we had to withdraw. Basically I lost £600 in advertising and cancellation fees. If I’d had an accurate valuation in the first place I would never have put it on the market.

11th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Very telling most of the positive reviews elsewhere are from buy to let people.I wish estate agents would just offer buy to let landlords on their books properties first before placing it on open market. It stops everyone else wasting their time with viewings and offers that will go nowhere. Staff perfectly nice but as a cash buyer offering full asking price and not being invited to increase offer when rejected, supposedly by the vendor, it's very frustrating.

We dealt with other estate agents in our buying process who left a lot to be desired to say the least and showed the vast gulf in class between local everyday operators and Eliza. Will be recommending her to anyone that asks!
