4th Apr 2026 (20 weeks ago)Lots of promises and good advice at initial face to face meeting. They got me to drop the price quite early on. Two viewings in 7 months. I was supposed to have a phone call with them last week and had an appointment time booked. No phone call but a generic email. At the start they suggested I have new stair carpet and flooring in some rooms . I had new bathroom, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, landing and stair carpet put down. They took the house of the market without telling me. The sign was taken from the front of my house. I checked online and they had pulled the house of the market. Almost quite childish? I think it was a poor set of photos and description having reviewed my experience. They stated partially double glazed when I had every window replaced to double glazed. Just odd things that they didn't mention. I am not sure if they know the area and market that well as it is a good location. The house market is always difficult through the winter months but putting that aside , the company just don't communicate at all. I started to look at other options for selling as you just don't hear from them. I think the last promised phone call was my clear signal that as something needed to change. Their poor practice made the decision for me. I will express that the guy that saw me on the first visit to discuss selling was very good. Talks a good talk.

10th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)About time I left a review after being with Northwood for 3 years!...and I'm leaving this review as a Landlord that has rental properties with them.<br><br>I've previously been with 3 of the 'big boys'...Shipways, Dixons and John Shepherd. The difference between them and Northwood is ridiculous. Yes, you will probably pay a lower Management fee with the big boys, but with them you DO NOT get the attention to detail, the personal attention, the speed of response, the reasonable contractor fees, the one point of contact etc etc. The list is endless. I used to tear my hair out with Dixons!<br><br>Not only that but with Northwood you don't get all the add on fees that Dixon's etc charge. It's most definitely worth paying them a slightly higher %.<br><br>In addition, I hardly get any contentious situations or complaints from tenants, so that means they're happy as well.<br><br>I would URGE anyone who's with the massive decentralised, non-personal Letting Agencies to try a smaller one...like Northwood.

10th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)Sale of our house and purchase of new house.<br><br>Good value for the services provided.<br>Stephen and his team are super friendly and very much able to call them with any issues. Picked up phone even 5 to 5pm. We were happy with sale (took 5 days on the market to have full asking price offer for our house). When council delayed entire transaction we were supported every step. No questions were silly, as we never sold a house before. Price for that kind of services is really good value for the money. Super happy with our new house that we also bought from them.

23rd Jul 2026 (4 weeks ago)Apparently they have a criteria to communicate back with you or not. After filling the application form for a rental house and sending your sensitive details and chasing them more than 4 times for couple of weeks expect no emails back. Waste of time, stay away.

6th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)We sold our house to the owners parents and now working for Martin and Co Solihull. After 7 months, in which we had spent large amount on a survey of a house we wanted to buy, legal fees and searches, his parents arranged a private sale on a bungalow at a point we were due to complete. Utterly disgraceful and underhand. No contact from Carl Heming and absolutely no apology for the mess he has left us in. What disgraceful practice. Formal complaint being made to investigate ‘conflict of interest’ and now talking to our solicitors about formal legal action. Hemming now working for Martin and Co Solihull who have also provided wesk customer service. We do NOT recommend Carl Hemming in any way.

7th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)I would like to sincerely thank Sam and Sarah for the outstanding service they provided throughout the purchase of my new home.<br><br>From the very beginning, Sam was incredibly helpful, especially with communicating between me and the seller. He also introduced me to an excellent mortgage broker, Ian Marston, whose support throughout the mortgage process was invaluable.<br><br>Sarah was also wonderful and kept everything running smoothly. Throughout the group chat and the entire buying process, she kept everyone updated with any news from both my solicitor and the seller’s solicitor. Their communication was always prompt, clear, and reassuring, which made what can often be a stressful experience much easier.<br><br>The teamwork, professionalism, and excellent cooperation between everyone involved made the whole process smooth and efficient. I truly appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and support that Sam and Sarah gave me from start to finish.<br><br>I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
