14th Jun 2026 (21 days ago)I really dislike and distrust all estate agents, they are slimey little liars, desperate to make a sale for their commission, it's just a fact. They overprice almost every house on the market. Also a fact. Having said that I dealt with Will a while back, I was buying my first house and he was actually pretty decent, as far as estate agents go. Definitely gave us the sales speech, but ultimately I actually don't care, I am in my dream house. Having been lied to and strung out for literally years by other agents, dealing with Will was a good experience, he was great with communication and explained the process of buying a house. The most frustrating part for me is how they recommend their own solicitors/surveyors etc, as they say they can chase them and speed up the process etc, because it is companies they deal with. But I found these companies more expensive. When I chose my own through family or friends recommendations, it was definitely frowned upon and was clearly told it wasn't a good idea, it could take longer etc etc. But actually I saved money and it literally didn't take any longer at all. From putting an offer in, to my moving date it was 3 months!!! Which was helped by Will and both seller and us, the buyers, wanting the process to be fast. We were also told the sellers survey on the house was still in date and if we wanted to hurry the process further, we could use that. We decided yo pay for a good survey to ensure our money was being well spent. The idea of just trusting a survey because it was less than two years old rang alarm bells and it blew my mind it would be suggested. But estate agents are sharks. The day we moved in, I was emailed and asked to leave a review. Which always bugs me as I believe leaving a review should be organic and not asked of you. So I didn't bother at the time. I was recently contacted by phone and email, asking if I had considered selling, it's not even been two years... how desperate is the housing market?! I've dealt with every company there is in regards to buying a house and Will in particular is the only estate agent that I have ever truly liked or trusted! What he told me happened, he never actually told me what I wanted to hear, I actually felt he was quite honest. I have zero plans to ever sell my house, I plan to die in it then eventually haunt it. BUT should I ever change my mind I would deal specifically with Will.

18th Feb 2026 (20 weeks ago)turned out to be a difficult sale due to the buyers solicitor being incompetent and unhelpful, the guys at your move were very helpful keeping up the pressure on the buyers to get the sale done and to resolve the problems that the buyers solicitors created, they were all ways there to talk to me and and keep things moving, i know that Dan the manager in the branch put a lot more effort into the sale than would normally be expected, So big thanks to Dan and his team. The only thing i would have some reservations about was their recommendation to use Homefast/PPL as my solicitors, they are cheap and work on a no sale no fee basis which is good and they are probably ok if your sale go's smoothly but i felt a bit left in the dark as they did not really keep me informed when problems and delays came up and it was not all ways easy to get in touch with them, there is very little direct contact with the solicitor appointed to your sale and the vast majority of thing are done through an online portal and not being a very competent computer user i did at times find it difficult. We got there in the end and Yourmove stuck with me and gave support all the way through so i would be happy to recommend them.

18th Jun 2026 (17 days ago)I had a misfortune of bidding on a property and winning the bid with this estate agency. I immediately paid for a search pack and booked a surveyor only two months into the process to be told that the property hasn't been registered on land registry and it will take a year to sort it out. Really disappointed in Doug Paterson who should have checked this before putting this property on the market. They cost me a lot of money and time.<br><br>Update: since I posted the review above Doug contacted me and tried to blackmail me into removing this review saying he might provide information to my home buyers insurance provider which would invalidate my claim!
12th Jun 2026 (23 days ago)When it came to selling our flat we were lucky enough to come accross Bigmove.<br>In what turned out to be a tricky leasehold situation Aaron was exceptional from start to finish. He was responsive, transparent, always on hand when needed and got our sale over the line. So yes I would highly recomend using Bigmove

Lea Carty was particularly helpful in following up with the solicitors and dealing with the enquiries. I managed to move house in a few months and whole process went through as smoothly as possible.
12th Jun 2026 (23 days ago)We found a flat and my husband was very ill in hosp tom at chislehurst was fantastic help me do all the paper work help every step of the way<br>And it was so quick a leasehold take a long time usely we was all done in 8 weeks and solictor recormented was out standing too<br>They was all so good and helpfull everystep of the way thank u all

Communication is always clear, and we feel confident that everything is handled with care and attention to detail. Their ability to combine structure with genuine attentiveness sets them apart.
5th Mar 2026 (17 weeks ago)Recently bought a house through David Evans & Co and dealt mainly with Mark. He was brilliant from start to end! Such great communication and a pleasure to deal with. So much better than the estate agent I was selling with, which was one of the big London agents and really didn't care. You could tell that Mark's clients matter to him. If I sell this house in future, I will 100% be using David Evans & Co to sell it.

Tom and Nick were great right from the start when the house went on the market, and then when the house was sold, Janice and Erica helped to make the process as smooth as possible. We all know that selling/buying a property is very stressful but when you are being guided by true professionals, it definitely makes it easier. 29th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Jackie Bisset has been so helpful and understanding of our future home requirements and even though we did not progress with a particular property she understood our decision and will keep in touch for more suitable properties when they arise. She also showed genuine concern for us when we had an incident happen while we were on our way to a viewing resulting in us having to be recovered from the motorway. Her concerned phone calls were much appreciated.
1st Jul 2026 (4 days ago)Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with CKB. After seven months, the entire sale fell through.<br><br>While I appreciate that some aspects of the process were beyond the agency’s control, we were not given accurate information about the length and complexity of the chain. This proved to be a critical factor in the collapse of the sale.<br><br>Had we been told the full picture from the outset, we could have planned accordingly and adjusted our expectations and timelines. Instead, we were repeatedly reassured that exchange and completion would take place within agreed deadlines. Relying on those assurances, we made important arrangements that ultimately left us at risk of being without a home.<br><br>In the end, we lost seven months, spent thousands of pounds on legal fees, surveys and other costs, and had nothing to show for it. The lack of transparency and inaccurate communication throughout the process made an already stressful experience far more difficult than it needed to be.

We have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the two of them throughout the whole process. We were kept informed, at every stage, as to where we were & what should be happening next. They were also very proactive concerning both the buyers & our solicitors when & as required. It has been fantastic to find two highly motivated people where nothing seemed too much trouble. We would both like to say a massive thank you for everything. We would certainly highly recommend them. John & Tracy
28th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)We are so happy we decided to go with Strickland as our estate agents. We recently sold our 2-bed flat as we were looking to find our forever home. From our very first conversation with Terence we instantly could tell that they knew the area inside out and immediately pointed out all the things that made us fall in love with the area and the flat. So many other estate agents that we’d seen didn’t even know the area so it gave us so much confidence that Terence and Jamie would be able to talk to buyers about all the best bits of the location. We also appreciated the honest approach as it really helped us set our expectations about the market. They worked incredibly hard to find the right buyer for our home and handled everything with professionalism and care. They managed to find us a buyer within a week of it being on the market! They then really supported us through surveys, price negotiations and we always felt like they had our backs in those negotiations. Despite their best efforts our first buyer pulled out (no fault of theirs) and they managed to find a new buyer immediately. From offer and right through to completion, the whole team made us feel supported, reassured, and genuinely looked after during what could have been a very stressful time. Jinny was also so on it when making sure the sale went through and she took on the chasing for everyone in the chain!!! We honestly wouldn’t have got it over the line without her persistence and professionalism. Overall we always felt in the loop, and whenever we had questions or concerns, someone was there to answer quickly and honestly. We felt like they cared about us personally, not just about making a sale, as they took the time to understand our situation and always had our best interests at heart. That level of attention and genuine care made such a difference to our experience. We’re so grateful Terence, Jamie and Jinny for helping us get our forever home. We would 100% recommend them to anyone thinking of selling their home.
10th Mar 2026 (17 weeks ago)We chose to use Local Agent to sell our property on a recommendation from a friend who also used them. Paul Hately and his team were excellent. The video by Corinne was amazing and the property was live and on the market within hours. It sold on the first viewing for above the marketed value. Although completion took longer than anticipated Paul & Dawn kept us updated throughout the process. I cannot recommend Local Agent enough. Denise and Ken

He has literally bent over backwards helping my old aunt and uncles sale go through as smoothly as possible. Paul has always been at the end of the phone,kept us all updated through every step of the way and even taken time to go and help my elderly uncle fill out forms as we were so far away at the time. He even messaged me tonight(the day of the move) to see how they both were,I cannot thank him enough for everything. We would 100% recommend them-absolutely outstanding!!!!??
20th Jun 2026 (15 days ago)I cannot recommend Langford Russell in Sidcup highly enough. My mother's property was listed with another local agent in Sidcup for almost 2 years. They were incredibly negative about the market for retirement homes and did little or nothing to secure a sale. In desperation to sell and pay my mother's care home fees, I moved to Langford Russell where I met the tenacious Jack Power!! Jack from the outset had a very positive approach toward the sale and in weeks secured several viewings and a firm offer. He worked tirelessly to ensure the sale went through by communicating regularly with myself, the buyer and respective solicitors. I am so grateful to Jack for his unwavering patience and professionalism but most of all for his determination and commitment to secure a sale. I highly recommend this estate agent, particularly Jack Power. Thank you Jack! :)

17th Jun 2026 (18 days ago)AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Please read would be my advice. I would give no stars if I could.<br><br>When I signed up to JDM I had 4 requests:<br>1. Make sure they wear shoe covers (I provide them)<br>2. Do not leave the front door wide open while you are showing the them around. Which is why we got rid of our first agent.<br>3. Do not leave the people unsupervised wondering around the house alone<br>4. Try and vet them to avoid nosey time wasters (we had so many, no vetting what’s so ever)<br>They agreed to all of the above.<br>In reality it was very different. They left the front door wide open on first visit, allowed people to wonder around on their own, children running wild opening cupboards playing with light switches, touching and pulling at antiques, sitting down on our furniture making themselves at home and finally when the clients refused to wear shoe covers they said ok and allowed all 5 of them free reign of our house with their shoes on which included a 94 year old with 3 prong walking aid climbing our stairs.<br>They were sent a bill for our carpets to be cleaned and we then terminated our contract even though we had a buyer.<br>We could not bare to pay them any commission for such appalling, unprofessional behavior we would rather lose the buyer.<br>Think very carefully before you choose this company.
