15th Mar 2026 (3 days ago)The WORST customer service I have ever encountered, and it seems I very much dodged a bullet. I recently went to view a rental property, agreed to pay 12 months rent upfront and a provisional move-in date, signed the tenancy, paid the 1st month's rent and damage deposit in advance (rest on sale completion), and was advised to call back within the hour to speak to John to arrange key collection 48 hours later. It wouldn't be a lie if I told you that John, also the Area Lettings Manager, is the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. In the 1.5 hours, he sat opposite me arguing, I was told to shut up and be quiet twice (his actual words). I was shouted at. I was called a bully because I wanted to know why all four staff members had failed to call the landlord or myself back the day before. I had questions ignored. I was lied to when I asked if the calls were recorded (even though other staff members have confirmed they were). I was laughed at. I was also told (with a big smirk on his face) that he had advised the landlord to re-market the property if I hadn't completed and transferred the balance of 17k by close of play the next working day and would now not be allowed to move in, as agreed. It appears the poor lady I had spoken to on the phone was only a trainee and shouldn't have dealt with my call. Feeling backed into a corner, I advised the landlord I would withdraw my application. The property is now back on Rightmove and empty, and WHB needs to start all over again with viewings and referencing and refund my money. This is only a snippet of the complete mess it’s been from start to finish. The landlord and I have raised formal complaints, but am I surprised? No. I have never heard anything good about them, and their staff turnover is incredibly high, but look at how their Manager treats people.
28th Feb 2026 (18 days ago)Great experience selling my Dads bungalow in Swaffham. The whole team bent over backwards to help in every way they could. In particular Tony and Emily who I dealt with the most were amazing and very professional as well as being kind and considerate. They were a great help as I lived over 2 hours away from the property and I was able to leave most things to them to sort out. I would highly recommend them for selling and I am sure purchasing a property in the area. Many thanks Ken.
5th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)I have just moved to my new home in Watton and Erin has been brillant,good communication and keeping us up to date with the progress of the move .We asked to view the house a few time (as empty) which was no trouble to her so I felt comfortable emailing and asking her.She really seems to enjoy her job a very happy person and easy to talk to a lovely lady.She is an asset to the company. I would highly recommend James for anyone looking to buy a house with Sowerbys Norwich- 2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)This is part of a web of estate agencies with no real legal existance. They are held by Abbey Sales and Lettings Ltd of Ipswich but the connections are hidden. They practice and extreme scam on sellers. Their contracts are hidden online and you cannot download them until you sign them. Then it is too late. They have a web of extra charges and penalty that hobbles the seller not the buyer. As a seller I would avoid them at all costs as they are your enemy not your agent. They work for the buyer. What ever they tell you about their contract is a lie as what counts is what is clicked online (without a capactiy to read it). They also can lock you into a sale you dont want by coming after you for fees for dropping out of a sale if negotiations dont go the way you want. Really avoid these scammers at all costs and put your house on with a reputable estate agent - which these are not!"
29th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)From start to finish, we’ve had a great experience with Hammond and Stratford. Charlii is lovely and knows when to step back and when to lead when viewing a property - we felt really relaxed and able to take our time viewing. We’ve been updated tremendously through their team at CompleteAsap (Amelia is lovely to talk to!) and I am so so grateful that Euan and Bradley joined the team while we sold our property through their previous agency as it means they were able to see it to the end. It’s been an incredibly hard couple of years for us and Euan has honestly been my rock, I could just call and say ‘help’ and he’d fix it in whatever way he could. Hopefully I’ll never have to move again ???? but if we ever do, I’ll be calling them without a doubt. Thank you so so much ??

We couldn’t have asked for better people to guide us through both events than the team at Warners Estate Agents Wymondham. With our sale, Dominic, Sue, and the whole team made us feel supported, reassured and genuinely cared for. It proved to be very stressful at times, but they handled everything with such kindness, patience, and professionalism and that meant so much We also bought our new home through Warners, Amanda was fantastic. She was friendly, supportive and very knowledgeable, making the entire experience feel exciting instead of overwhelming. They updated us regularly throughout the process and were always happy to answer any questions we had through both the selling and buying process. A genuinely friendly team too which made viewings etc so much nicer! Thank you so much to all of you ??????
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Of the three agents that I initially considered, Alex Parish demonstrated the greatest local knowledge and the best understanding of my requirements. I have no regrets about my decision to commission them. Throughout the whole process, from the initial planning session to the completion of my sale, Alex and his colleagues were professional, reliable and always did whatever we had agreed. Their communications were clear and they were responsive to all of my questions or concerns. They were supportive to me personally and showed a good understanding of all aspects of the sales process as well its legalities and practicalities. I recommend Whitley Parish without any reservations.
