21st Apr 2026 (18 days ago)During the initial appointment/consultation, Jayne Smith provided an extremely comprehensive overview of the current property market in general as well as in my local area. She explained very clearly about the services offered by herself and McEwan Fraser, making everything clear and transparent. Lots of helpful advice was given as to my options and I felt confident that this was backed up by an array of knowledge and experience. I was given the opportunity to ask plenty of questions and found Jayne very friendly and approachable.

30th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would highly recommend Blair Cadell as Jamie is a particularly nice person to work with. Although there were Googlemaps issues with my advert, he persevered with having Google fix the problem . His communication is excellent: prompt and courteous. The subcontractors he appoints for photography and home report are top quality. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

15th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)This used to be a decent enough place until they employed idiots during the pandemic. The Shirley one who started in 2021 is particularly rude and obnoxious. She simply will not answer emails or return calls. Nothing professional about her at all but I guess when you pay peanuts you get monkeys! ???????
2nd Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Now under new management with Susan Mortan, she delivers excellent service as always. Although a High Street office she’s always there 24/7, wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Scott came out to value our home and was honest, realistic, and clear in his advice, which we really appreciated. Anna Kaylin and Lindsey were also fantastic—friendly, supportive, and always ready with sound guidance throughout the process. Lindsey gave us sound advice when we hit a snag with our buyer and this advice was spot on. Their professionalism and approachability made everything feel straightforward and stress free.

He covered all bases, was very kind and patient with us when we asked a million questions, and was so quick that we had moved within the month! The whole thing was super easy for us and very afforable. We're grateful for all his help, and will recommend Thorntons to everyone as a reliable and trustworthy firm, especially for first time buyers.

6th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back

Her professionalism really stood out as we navigated a few unexpected challenges. Combined with her infectious enthusiasm, she gave me confidence throughout the entire process. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

10th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)Allan and the team made purchasing and selling our home a pleasant experience. They were accommodating and worked around our lives with two young kids when it came to viewings by their viewing agent. Selling even achieved above home report value with the well advertised and pictures taken. Provided recommendations for solicitors and surveyors they work with too. Would thoroughly recommend and will use again for future moves.
9th Jan 2026 (17 weeks ago)Administration of the property leasing old school, no silly apps and speak to people which is great. However that’s where the good part comes ends. The problem is the inspector and the property manager. Poor landlord is suffering the consequence, a lot of inconsistencies in what they are saying to both parties, as is the poor tenant that relies on them To make matters worse lettings manager ignores complaints rather than properly investigating. Even after council report, no acknowledgment of issues. What can one do?

Kirsty’s communication was excellent — she truly went above and beyond at every stage and kept us informed and reassured throughout the whole process. Gavin was so down to earth and friendly, which made what can be a stressful experience feel much easier and more personal. The marketing package was exceptional, especially the high-quality photography and the drone footage, which really showcased the property and set it apart. Thanks to their hard work and expertise, we achieved an offer above the asking price, which exceeded our expectations. A genuinely professional, approachable, and dedicated team — we’re incredibly grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to use Venters Property again.
3rd Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)We had initial meeting with Lisa with regard to bringing property to market, but Sophie has been our main point of contact since then, handling all our enquiries and viewings. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and she was always there to answer any questions we had regarding the processes. We feel Sophie is an absolute asset to the Glenrothes branch.
