I sold it quickly and Taylor Cole (Lauren who managed the process) was very pleasant to deal with and overall I received a good service.

29th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I wouldn’t personally recommend dealing with this estate agent based on my experience. The property was described as being from a “quality builder”, but that didn’t stack up when I actually viewed them. There were issues that hadn’t been mentioned beforehand, which left me feeling like the listings didn’t give an accurate picture of what you’re walking into. Viewings themselves weren’t particularly useful. The agent seemed to have very little understanding of the properties and couldn’t answer basic questions, which made the whole process feel like a bit of a waste of time. Getting hold of anyone was also a challenge. Calls weren’t returned, and when I did get through, the interaction felt more like I was being brushed off than actually helped. The tone came across as quite condescending at times, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. Overall, it felt like dealing with a small operation without the structure, preparation, or professionalism you tend to get from more established agents. There just didn’t seem to be the systems or attention to detail you’d expect when making such an important decision. My experience was also a long way off what some of the more positive reviews suggest, which I found hard to understand given the issues I encountered. I’d suggest anyone considering using them does their own due diligence and doesn’t rely solely on what’s presented. Disappointing, and not something I’d choose to repeat.

They provided constant updates and would chase up anything I needed to know. This is my first rental since uni so it’s a big thing for me, but Robyn has truly made it a breeze. We were in regular contact throughout the process and Becky was in contact with all parties to ensure that the sale progressed as smoothly as possible, keeping us updated every step of the way and providing a friendly, approachable service and plenty of reassurance along the way. 10th Jun 2026 (25 days ago)Emily, Anya and the team were brilliant from the very start, handling the marketing and sale of our property professionally, as expected. The communication was regular and consistent, they were always available and helpful when needed. Our sale process was a breeze in comparison to our purchase. Emily got involved in chasing solicitors and the estate agent of the property we were purchasing to push things along, and it was definitely needed, the chain was managed end to end so we always knew what was going on and where the delays and sticking points were. Would recommend Alexanders and use them again for sure!
23rd May 2026 (6 weeks ago)We were due to move into a property managed through Genie Homes on 22 May 2026. The tenancy agreement had been signed and completed, and we had arranged our family move around that date. On the morning we were meant to move in, we were told by text message that the landlord had changed her mind and that we could no longer move into the property. This left us in an extremely difficult position as a family. Our home was packed, we had already made arrangements connected to the move, including our son’s school transport, and we were left trying to work out where we were going to live at very short notice. Our son has Down syndrome and significant additional needs, so the sudden uncertainty and disruption caused a huge amount of stress for us. Although some staff members tried to help afterwards, the overall handling of the situation felt very unprofessional and lacked proper accountability. We had to keep chasing for updates, requested calls from senior management that did not happen, and were left in limbo when we needed clear communication and practical support. Based on our experience, I would not recommend using this company.

When my payment was due to be returned, I had to send more than 20 emails and make over 100 phone calls before I finally received my money back after 6 months. Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend this agency. Please be very careful before dealing with them. Kind regards, Junaid Khan
11th Jun 2026 (24 days ago)Actually very surprised with the service from wards having had a lot of issues with a previous agency I rented from, I had some draining issues with the property and the issue was sorted straight away. Any problems there on the ball and they are very on top of everything. From someone who thought these companies were all the same now I’ve seen both ends of the spectrum it’s definetly a huge difference and plus

18th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)They were my buyers agents, so selling the house a step down the chain. However my agents were just terrible! These guys did a brill job of chasing information that wasn’t being passed to them. To the point that I had to call round branches untill I found them and supply the information directly. After that they became my first call for up dates on how the chain was progressing as my agents didn’t have a clue!!! I’ll be using them next time!

Throughout the whole process he kept us regularly informed with frequent updates both online and by telephone. He completed all viewings himself and sold our property less than 3 weeks from initial advert. Thank you so much.

Despite numerous challenges that were no fault of hers, Vicky remained positive and professional at all times. She was upbeat, solution focussed and never once lost heart or patience with me. You only find out how good someone is when they come up against a problem and I can tell you - Vicky and the team at Maynard’s are absolutely first class!

I am concerned that the quotations provided for cleaning and painting were significantly inflated, potentially resulting in tenants being charged more than is reasonable. Greater transparency and the use of independent quotations are necessary to ensure a fair process for all parties.
