7th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)I would not recommend entering into any arrangement with this agency without extreme caution! It will also be worth checking the numerous negative reviews here! Based on my personal experience, I encountered ongoing issues with communication, contractual handling and payment-related matters. Certain concerns, including payments and entitlements, remained unresolved despite being formally raised and supported with screenshot, and no meaningful response was provided! For landlords, it is important to clearly establish in advance how the property will be marketed, how pricing will be structured, and whether any all-inclusive (bills included) arrangements may be applied, as these factors can significantly affect outcomes. Overall, anyone (tenants, landlords and employees) considering working with this agency should be prepared for potential complications! 30th Jan 2026 (22 weeks ago)ML provide a good professional service, with courteous and thoughtful staff. They successfully managed to sell my property which was a difficult one to move on. In terms of management they supply a prompt service with calls returned and very thorough inventories etc. I had two tenancies with them. Just one hint from me - It would be more helpful to supply 2 contractor estimates rather than just one to help speed up any insurance claims needed as I did have to get my own. Anyway - I am happy to recommend them.

14th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)I had a positive experience with the agency throughout my tenancy. Gail and Ryan were professional, helpful, and easy to communicate with. They carried out inspections efficiently, made it easy regarding the dates and times of inspections and kept me informed clearly throughout the process. Any queries were handled promptly, and the whole tenancy and move-out process was smooth. I’d happily recommend them.

11th Jan 2026 (25 weeks ago)I bought my house through Jan Foster Estate Agents over a year ago, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into an absolute nightmare because of the way this company operates and, in particular, because of the behaviour of Ashley, the agent I dealt with. From the very beginning, Ashley was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He spoke to me in a condescending manner, showed no patience, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a client making one of the biggest purchases of my life. Simple questions were met with attitude, poor communication, or no response at all. At times, he was outright disrespectful, which is completely unacceptable in any profession, let alone estate agency. Communication throughout the process was shocking. I was constantly left chasing for updates, clarification, and basic information that should have been provided without me having to beg for it. Deadlines were unclear, things were poorly explained, and I was often left feeling confused and stressed because no one seemed to care enough to do their job properly. Instead of being supported and guided, I felt ignored and brushed aside. Buying a home is supposed to be handled with professionalism, respect, and care. Unfortunately, that was entirely missing here. The stress, anxiety, and frustration I went through could have been avoided if Ashley and Jan Foster Estate Agents had shown even a basic level of courtesy and competence. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Jan Foster Estate Agents to think twice. Based on my experience, they lack professionalism, respect for clients, and proper communication. I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. This experience left a lasting negative impression and completely took the joy out of buying my home.
22nd Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)If the devil reincarnated into a business it would be Mike Rogerson, I don’t know if they have purposely treated us like scum on the bottom of their shoe because we’re young and they’re prejudice or if it’s because they lack very simply empathy and competence. We move in August last year and the property we met with was poor standard, marks on walls, unclean, items left in storage cupboards and the worst of all mould. Under the sink and washing machine was grim completely decayed and riddle with mould, took two month to resolve and they told us to just buy washing machine cleaner, in December the mould returned to new levels, our bedroom, hall way, doors, kitchen and bathroom were covered and constantly dripping with condensation despite having windows open in the depth of winter and having a dehumidifier constantly turned on and wiping windows constantly, we reported in December and to this day has not been resolved, which comes to no shock as they have evicted us with legal minimum notice as the landlord selling the property despite it being on the market for 6 months and still up for sale, which is no surprise when the house is in the state it is, despite reporting it and an agent seeing it in February along with other issues, upon departure we’ve been told, as u can guess correctly, the house is dirty, in an unfit state, items lefts behind, problems not reported. So as we suspected it’s our fault, we’re the problem and they’re trying to with hold our deposit which we desperately need as were essentially homeless. Not enough words in the English dictionary to describe this deplorable waste of an institution. Especially Sharon, Sharon you have the emotionally capacity of a teaspoon and I think that’s too generous. Avoid at all costs

The whole team in Forest Hall were helpful every step of the way, providing updates and patiently answering my questions, and towards the end Nicola really went above and beyond to get my sale over the line. Can't recommend them enough!

Nadine is the property manager for my building and she is always fantastic, keeps in touch with anything we need to know, is informative friendly and professional. I have no concerns if I ever need to email her. She is a true credit to Bowson.

Great guidance and attention to detail after this with Alison taking me through the process and providing regular updates on progress. Alison also chased up the buyer and their estate agent (they weren't as on the ball as she was!) regularly and liaise with my solicitor. She replied promptly to any queries and the sale progressed quickly. Whole experience was very good - would definitely use again. Thank you!

From the outset, communication was clear, timely, and professional, which made the whole process feel straightforward and stress-free.<br>They were extremely helpful in liaising with the landlord to ensure that the necessary repairs were carried out, and they were also accommodating in making it possible for me to extend my tenancy until I was able to move. After I moved out, they continued to provide excellent support by assisting with the process of recovering my deposit.<br>I would happily recommend their services to other tenants or landlords looking for a reliable and professional estate agent.

She went above and beyond the service we got from the estate agent who sold our house (Bailey & Co) so I would definitely choose them for my next house sale.
