15th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Booked a viewing on the Friday for, Saturday the next day. I rang the office 4 times with no response and nobody turned up for the viewing, so I travelled and paid for parking for no reason.

Chloe especially has been very helpful and her honesty/ professionalism has been very good with helping me from start to finish on the process of getting me moved into my flat. Great Team.

18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)It is not a no sell no fee. Be very careful if you decide to go with them. I talk with richard to begin with them. They strongly recommend me to go sol agency. And told me after 4 months. I will be free to cancel and withdrawal or add multiple agency without extra chargres. I wasnot careful enough to read all the small prints of the contract thinking it will be a standard one. And richard already confirmed and guranteen me on the phone. So i trusted him and took his words for it at that time. Now 4 months later. I was told i need to pay a withdrawal fee for 350 if i want to make any alterations. And the time is indefinite. I feel that they have keep my house in hostage. Where i cant leave unless i pay them to get out of the hook.

11th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)I bought my house through Jan Foster Estate Agents over a year ago, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into an absolute nightmare because of the way this company operates and, in particular, because of the behaviour of Ashley, the agent I dealt with. From the very beginning, Ashley was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He spoke to me in a condescending manner, showed no patience, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a client making one of the biggest purchases of my life. Simple questions were met with attitude, poor communication, or no response at all. At times, he was outright disrespectful, which is completely unacceptable in any profession, let alone estate agency. Communication throughout the process was shocking. I was constantly left chasing for updates, clarification, and basic information that should have been provided without me having to beg for it. Deadlines were unclear, things were poorly explained, and I was often left feeling confused and stressed because no one seemed to care enough to do their job properly. Instead of being supported and guided, I felt ignored and brushed aside. Buying a home is supposed to be handled with professionalism, respect, and care. Unfortunately, that was entirely missing here. The stress, anxiety, and frustration I went through could have been avoided if Ashley and Jan Foster Estate Agents had shown even a basic level of courtesy and competence. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Jan Foster Estate Agents to think twice. Based on my experience, they lack professionalism, respect for clients, and proper communication. I would never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. This experience left a lasting negative impression and completely took the joy out of buying my home.

Lorraine mailed me or called me with updates, facilitated comms with the seller, I felt like I was aware of everything going on. Would use them again and thank you MR!!

The whole team in Forest Hall were helpful every step of the way, providing updates and patiently answering my questions, and towards the end Nicola really went above and beyond to get my sale over the line. Can't recommend them enough!

I welcomed the dedicated 'progress' telephone number, the regular feedback received and the friendliness and advice given on every contact made either by myself or by the person dedicated to my case. I couldn't fault any part of the process. I really appreciated the recommendation for Mincoff solicitors, too. Although the solicitors quote was more, it was well worth paying the extra as they were also brilliant throughout.

From the first valuation of our flat in Heaton, we were immediately struck by his personal approach and his unparalleled understanding of the local market. From marketing to sales progression, he supported us perfectly and made himself very available. Although our chain didn’t work out as we would have liked, Noel went above and beyond to offer calm, honest, and expert advice and to keep things moving forward. He has been incredibly supportive throughout a stressful situation. An absolute professional who genuinely looks after his clients and goes the extra mile. We will approach Noel for our future sale without any hesitation.

Since the new laws had come into place he explained it all to me. I would have no hesitation contacting him or going through him to find more rentals when we are looking for more accommodation in the future. Many thanks x

Victoria was great at communicating throughout and giving us updates on solicitor progress. Would definitely recommend!
6th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)Terrible experience as a tenant in a managed property.<br>There was a leak in the flat that was damaging the neighbour below's ceiling. Contacted Northwood who said they had arranged a contractor for the next day who didn't turn up.<br>Neighbour's ceiling near-collapsed forcing me to pay over £1000 in emergency bank holiday fees for a plumber to visit.<br>That was 3 months ago and they refuse to even reply to my emails requesting for just information as to what is to happen next.
19th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Truly the most amazing experience with the girls in the Gosforth office. Our home went on the market 3 times after buyers pulling out and each time they were straight into action getting it sorted for us. From the minute I enquired they were straight round, with the most competitive fee, and the house was on the market within the week. It took us over a year start to finish to sell, and knowing we were also looking to buy a new house they were always sending us possible properties and I just felt like they were really rooting for us. Particular shoutout to Sarah for her unwavering advice, Ellie and Emma for always being at the end of the phone, and Allison for handling the sale. Our sale wasn’t easy but they made us feel like we were all in it together and I can’t thank them enough. Even now, after we have sold and are still looking for a new house, they have kept us in mind for everything they list. Absolute stars. Thank you!!! Rebecca and Liam xx

6th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)I would like to start with that the sales team are great and provide a smooth service for a lovely property we stayed in from 2024-25.<br><br>However, as a student the deposit process at the end of our tenancy was painful. They took OVER 3 months to come back to us with the deposit deductions.<br>After a long time chasing them for explanations with emails and having to go into the shop multiple times. We were told that they would not talk about deductions in person and would only do this on email, despite previously taking weeks to reply to emails.<br><br>Overall an off-putting end, feeling scammed with an unhelpful deposit team.<br>Wouldn’t use these agents again.

3rd Aug 2026 (20 days ago)I dont usually leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I'd hate for someone else to go through what we did. Me and my partner were meant to move out in July for a house that was "avaliable immediately" we had a move in date confirmed, checks passed, welcome homes had sorted WiFi ect and was told the day we were meant to get the keys that the landlord had decided to sell the property, which if we had been informed at any point we wouldnt have even put in for the house. We had little to no communication from our agent even though we had sent several emails over the weeks leading up to moving in and it wasn't even our agent that told us the house was being sold, it was another agent who we had to email as ours was unresponsive. We tried calling but the voicemail was always full and after we had been told we couldn't have the house it was radio silence, no help with cancelling the wifi that they had set up, no apology for not letting us know anything so we had already given notice to our current landlord and was at risk of being homeless and I STILL haven't had a refund for my holding deposit which should have been refunded first week of July despite me emailing and ringing twice. I understand it was the landlords decision about the house but the lack of communication and empathy is disgusting
