23rd Jun 2026 (18 weeks ago)My estate agent ghosted me!<br><br>I listed my two-bed flat for sale with Melissa Berry in May. It was my first time selling a property, and thankfully Melissa seemed helpful and friendly at the valuation, although she did seem to take my lead on pricing the property rather than guiding me towards a price that she thought would be a best fit. A couple of weeks later she came to take photos – and that was, sadly, the last I saw or heard of her.<br><br>The property had been on the market for a couple of weeks when I emailed to check in, and asked whether there’d been any interest. I did get a reply from a sales agent called Geraldine, saying that someone was interested in viewing the property but wouldn’t be able to visit for a couple of weeks; I replied straight away with my availability and asked what sort of time the viewing would go ahead. No response.<br><br>A week later, I emailed again to ask if the viewing was going ahead. Again, I was ignored. I tried calling, and left messages. Finally, after waiting another week, I emailed one last time to say that I was going to list the flat with another agent and asking Melissa/Geraldine to remove it from their listings. I expected a reply to that, at least – but instead they quietly took the property off their website, again without replying to my email.<br><br>I wasted over a month trying to work with Melissa Berry, only to be completely ghosted and treated as though I didn’t exist. Whether it was something I said or the business has just taken on more clients than it can handle, I recommend avoiding them unless you enjoy the silent treatment: there are plenty of other agencies out there.

Brilliant service from start to finish, always kept me updated throughout the whole process and was always there if I had any questions. Made everything so much easier and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to sell their house. Thanks again Georgina!

12th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)We spent months trying to sell our house in Chadderton with Ryder & Dutton, and unfortunately, the communication just wasn’t there. It was often difficult to get through on the phone or get an answer, and we sometimes felt like just another number.<br><br>Then we switched to Cowell, and what a difference! Our house sold within a month, and the whole experience was so much more positive. The team were helpful, proactive and really kept things moving, even helping to speed things up with the solicitors to get us to completion.<br><br>Harry came out to value our house, and he was great from the start! Really friendly, enthusiastic and transparent. The video tour he did was fantastic, and the photographer also did an amazing job with the pictures.<br><br>And then there’s Leah! Honestly, we cannot recommend her enough. She has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. Selling a house can be stressful, but she made everything feel so much easier. She was always so helpful and supportive, and we genuinely appreciate everything she did for us.<br><br>Of course, selling a house always involves an element of luck, as you need to find the right buyer, but good communication, transparency and support from your estate agent make such a huge difference throughout the process. For us, it wasn’t just about selling the house; it was about having a team who communicated well, cared and went the extra mile. Cowell really delivered on all of that!<br><br>A massive thank you to Harry, Leah and the whole team. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Cowell to anyone looking to sell their home! ??

The team are so experienced and so professional in all they do , I felt like I was part of their family , nothing was to much trouble for them , I would definitely recommend habitat to anyone who wants to rent or sell . A massive thank you to all the team for really looking and supporting me whilst I was with them .

My initial valuation with John was professional and informative, the team in the office were always friendly and incredibly helpful, and Michelle was fantastic during the final stages before completion, answering any queries promptly and making everything run smoothly.<br>They really made what can be a challenging and stressful process feel much easier. Having used different estate agents in the past, I can honestly recommend Kirkham with complete confidence and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.<br><br>Thank you to the whole team for such a great experience!- 11th Feb 2026 (8 mo. ago)Excellent service up to now. Rob came out to do the valuation and photographs- he was professional, efficient, informative and very considerate of my sleeping newborn.<br>Communication was great throughout, even when I would message in the group on the weekends! Could not recommend them enough and will definitely be using them again in the future, especially as the house sold in less than a month! Thanks again :)

They were no pressure in selling and explained the process and answered any queries putting us at ease considering this was the first time selling what was our first family home. Once the house was listed, Reside dealt with all the viewings and fit it around us generally conducting group viewings so it was less intrusive on our family life. Once sold they kept in regular contact with us and the buyers to help the sale complete.
