3rd Jul 2026 (2 days ago)The agent took 6 months to sell one of the two properties I had. I spent a lot of my time chasing him up for information and feedback. He had failed to advise about writing into the sales schedule, no guarantees. This cost my £3000 payment to the buyer for a new boiler. He sold the property at home report value, which I'd agreed completely unaware of the additional costs I'd be paying. The second property did not sell. I discharged this estate agent and went with a different estate agency. Within two weeks of them marketing the property, three viewings resulted in two second viewings and an offer accepted. When I wrote a review, to prevent anyone else experiencing such unnecessary stress and negative financial impact, he responded with it was my fault for insisting on doing the viewings. Oddly enough, as my son is a vulnerable adult, I continued with the viewings after changing estate agents and behold the property sold!

30th Jun 2026 (5 days ago)I can't thank Connor and Millie enough for all the help and support they gave me during what was a very stressful time.<br><br>I was understandably worried about finding somewhere new to live. The team worked hard to find me suitable accommodation and arranged an agreement with my previous landlord that made the move much more manageable.<br><br>On moving day, they even helped me transport my belongings to my new home, which was far beyond what I expected and made a huge difference. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out.<br><br>Throughout the whole process, they kept me informed, answered my questions, and treated me with understanding and respect. They made what could have been a very difficult experience much less stressful.<br><br>I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and reliable estate agent. 2nd Mar 2026 (18 weeks ago)From our initial valuation Peter was very knowledgeable about the local market, and gave me a fair and representative valuation of my home. All staff are extremely responsive, and gave an immediate response to any queries raised. Every 'phone call or email was responded to, and if needed action was taken. Scarlett attended appointments with interested clients and was friendly and professional throughout. She put together a really lovely social media video to advertise my home, on top of usual advertising. We were kept informed and updated every step of the way by Amanda and Amie. I would recommend Seasons Estate Agents in Looe. They have been friendly, respectful and professional throughout the process of selling my home.

Belle was exceptional from start to finish. I was particularly impressed by how proactive she was in keeping the purchase moving forward and ensuring all parties stayed on track. She regularly kept me informed of progress and worked closely with my solicitor, acting as an effective middle ground to help keep communication flowing smoothly. Whenever I had questions that hadn’t been answered elsewhere, Belle was always happy to help and provided clear, helpful responses. Her response times were consistently prompt, which made a potentially stressful process much easier to manage. Thank you, Belle, for your professionalism, dedication, and excellent customer service. I would highly recommend both Belle and Stratton Creber to anyone buying or selling a property.

The service we have received from Hayley and the rest of the ladies at Fox and Sons Saltash has been top tier, constant communication about the process of selling, viewings and helpful hints and tips to market the property has made the whole procedure less stressful and easy for us. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

19th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)It was great working with John Pope and his team. He was an immense driving force in our house move and its speed. The team were extremely helpful, friendly and swift. Our house move went faster because of Popes attention and care to the process. They were easy to contact throughout, even around Christmas on days when other estate agents were closed. I was so impressed that I would seek out going through them if I was to look for another house in their area of remit.

4th Jun 2026 (4 weeks ago)Peggs found one viewer for my home in the 14 weeks I was under contract. They only contacted me once in that time after about 6 weeks, to persuade me to drop the price. I never once received any properties from them, being marketed to me for my new requirements, and so it led me to wonder if they relied solely upon RightMove etc for leads. The original proposed price was their suggestion, not mine. Yes, the market has been largely flat for period apartments like mine, but there was nothing that gave confidence in their marketing and this included the very young inappropriately dressed person they sent to accompany my only viewing. It us difficult to recommend Peggs although the lady lister who initially came to my home was pleasant, knowledgeable and gave me hope. I wrongly assumed she might be managing everything to do with getting interest in my home. I don't how some of the questions as the opportunity to test out knowledge and value did not arise.

15th Jul 2025 (11 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.
