3rd Jul 2026 (2 days ago)The agent took 6 months to sell one of the two properties I had. I spent a lot of my time chasing him up for information and feedback. He had failed to advise about writing into the sales schedule, no guarantees. This cost my £3000 payment to the buyer for a new boiler. He sold the property at home report value, which I'd agreed completely unaware of the additional costs I'd be paying. The second property did not sell. I discharged this estate agent and went with a different estate agency. Within two weeks of them marketing the property, three viewings resulted in two second viewings and an offer accepted. When I wrote a review, to prevent anyone else experiencing such unnecessary stress and negative financial impact, he responded with it was my fault for insisting on doing the viewings. Oddly enough, as my son is a vulnerable adult, I continued with the viewings after changing estate agents and behold the property sold!

30th Jun 2026 (5 days ago)I can't thank Connor and Millie enough for all the help and support they gave me during what was a very stressful time.<br><br>I was understandably worried about finding somewhere new to live. The team worked hard to find me suitable accommodation and arranged an agreement with my previous landlord that made the move much more manageable.<br><br>On moving day, they even helped me transport my belongings to my new home, which was far beyond what I expected and made a huge difference. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out.<br><br>Throughout the whole process, they kept me informed, answered my questions, and treated me with understanding and respect. They made what could have been a very difficult experience much less stressful.<br><br>I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and reliable estate agent. Thank you again for everything you did—I really appreciate all of your help.

19th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)Novahomes came and valued my house within days of contacting them (Tuesday) They were the best value for money and offered me a discount as I had used them before. They gave me a realistic valuation and came and did the photographs and floorplan (Friday) after I instructed them on Wednesday. My house went on the market on the Monday afternoon and they booked in 2 viewings within half an hour of the house being on the market. Viewings were arranged for Wednesday and I received an offer for the full market price the same day. So from instructing to them to receiving an offer for the full asking price - 7 days - I don’t think you can ask for any better than that!

9th Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)excellent sales preparation. produced an outstanding brochure, and after just 3 days live, a handful of viewers received the first of 3 offers. Just 5 days of viewing in total and 2 full guide price offers. The most expensive option, but with faultless handling of the sale, and reassured that should things not go as planned, they will quickly have other interested buyers lined up.

We also received a really lovely moving in box full of goodies which was a lovely surprise. I cannot recommend them enough!

However, the team kept us informed of progress and were actively chasing news from the chain which made things a little more tolerable for us. We were very pleased and would definitely consider using Julian Marks in any future sale.

I feel sorry for the property owners who are selling through them. I will not be buying through them that's for sure. Stay away property sellers.

I knew nothing about estate agents or the value of my mothers property but our daughter had recently bought a house via Mayers and said that they were good. We looked up and down the street and out of 5 estate agent boards that were visible 4 were from Mayers. So, with 1 personal recommendation and 80% silent recommendations we decided to go with Mayers. We weren't disappointed. As an aside, during the selling process we had reason to meet our buyers. They also had nothing but praise for Mayers.
26th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)I cannot thank Jon and Natasha enough for the effort that they put into selling my house. From the off, I felt at ease. Jon set everything in motion quickly and I was updated at every step. This continued through the viewing process and once the sale was agreed, it was comforting to know that Natasha was on hand to answer any queries at any point, a reassuring presence. Having had some negative experiences when selling in the past I was initially apprehensive about going through the process. However, this was totally not necessary with Jon and Natasha and I could not have been in better hands.

Due to issues with our solicitor the latest sale was very stressful but Ian's years of experience shone through and he always put us at ease whilst pushing the sale along. The whole team is welcoming and friendly and always have a smile on their faces. If you are selling a house in the Plymstock area we highly recommend using Ian and the team.
