30th Apr 2026 (10 weeks ago)Fantastic. Selling a house can be scary. I'd lived in my house for 33 years and process has changed so much. By Jackie and Marie held my hand the whole way. When I asked for advise it was given in a kind manner not a hard we know best way. Everything was explained so I could understand it. They even spoke to the solicitors for me. I truly felt in safe hand. Our house sold in a good time at the wanted price. Totally recommend them.
15th Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)I wasn't overly impressed by the estate agent. While they were upfront about the market and the difficulty in selling, I don't believe they were actively engaged in the marketing of the property. While presence for viewings, I felt that the agent showing lack knowledge of the properly and area with the owners really providing the viewing. When recieving an offer, there was an underlying pressure to accept a bid which was well below our expectations and only through our push back we were able to get a more satisfactory offer. Something I don't think we could have got with the guidance of the estate agent
18th Jun 2026 (18 days ago)I had a misfortune of bidding on a property and winning the bid with this estate agency. I immediately paid for a search pack and booked a surveyor only two months into the process to be told that the property hasn't been registered on land registry and it will take a year to sort it out. Really disappointed in Doug Paterson who should have checked this before putting this property on the market. They cost me a lot of money and time.<br><br>Update: since I posted the review above Doug contacted me and tried to blackmail me into removing this review saying he might provide information to my home buyers insurance provider which would invalidate my claim!

26th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)I highly recommend Comber & Co. I competed today on the sale of my mother’s house. I worked with the founder and owner Jeremy Comber throughout. His knowledge of property in Blackheath is remarkable. He project-managed to get the house to market including decorating and cleaning. He is a delight to work with, always available along with his team. He judged the price perfectly and the house was sold 7 weeks after going on the market. Fantastic personal service, support the independent businesses.
15th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)I would genuinely recommend using Truepenny’s Charlton if you want to sell your property. From the initial valuation (which was much more realistic that other overly inflated figures from other estate agents) the service by the team in the Charlton branch was excellent. We were trying to sell our flat in an already difficult market but Bhavi and David secured many viewings over the summer and finally an offer was made. The team were always available to help and nudge things along. I’d happily use them again.

Suzanna made me feel completely supported throughout the entire process. She gave me thoughtful advice, was very responsive and did such a great job organising everything including giving access for trades people and chasing the solicitors. I would recommend her to anyone.

After numerous flat viewings with different agents, it was very refreshing to interact with someone who really took the time to understand what I was looking for. Leon was extremely professional and went above and beyond. He followed up with me to make sure I got all the information I needed and helped clarify a couple of points with the owner. 17th Jun 2026 (19 days ago)AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Please read would be my advice. I would give no stars if I could.<br><br>When I signed up to JDM I had 4 requests:<br>1. Make sure they wear shoe covers (I provide them)<br>2. Do not leave the front door wide open while you are showing the them around. Which is why we got rid of our first agent.<br>3. Do not leave the people unsupervised wondering around the house alone<br>4. Try and vet them to avoid nosey time wasters (we had so many, no vetting what’s so ever)<br>They agreed to all of the above.<br>In reality it was very different. They left the front door wide open on first visit, allowed people to wonder around on their own, children running wild opening cupboards playing with light switches, touching and pulling at antiques, sitting down on our furniture making themselves at home and finally when the clients refused to wear shoe covers they said ok and allowed all 5 of them free reign of our house with their shoes on which included a 94 year old with 3 prong walking aid climbing our stairs.<br>They were sent a bill for our carpets to be cleaned and we then terminated our contract even though we had a buyer.<br>We could not bare to pay them any commission for such appalling, unprofessional behavior we would rather lose the buyer.<br>Think very carefully before you choose this company.
