12th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Savills were the letting agent for my property for about 6yrs after being bought by Area Estates. Savills do bare minimum with regards to repairs and maintenance. Camilla Kirby who recently left the company was lovely and made every effort to assist with the limited authority she had, sadly she was replaced by Rachel Bentley who is condescending, rude and quite frankly should not deal with the public in any capacity. Following a S21 notice due to selling before the new landlord rules come into affect in May, they attempted to charge £760 for removal of a fish tank from the loft of property despite it being in the property from the beginning of the tenancy and having no proof it wasn’t. She lied in a reference and stated that it couldn’t be changed as the director had approved it, and when I pressed her saying the reference was factually incorrect she stated “the DWP may be able to assist you with something in writing about your benefits”.
6th May 2026 (3 days ago)Avoid at all costs Horrific experience with this letting agent. They would never reply to any emails about work needing to be done. However if they needed something they would expect me to reply straight away. For months I asked if something could be done over the flooring as it was so poorly fitted and a huge trip hazard, we had a child in the house. They refused to fix the floor but tried to take my deposit to replace it once I left. The DPS obviously didn't agree to this as the flooring was in such poor condition on commencement of the tenancy. I feel sorry to whoever has moved into the property as it was in desperate need of decorating. I think the landlord had tried to do odd jobs themself but clearly wasn't very skilled. The car park was also underwater due to the biggest pothole I have ever seen. We only lived in the property for a year because we couldn't cope with the lack of communication. Our current letting agent and all previous have been amazing so we weren't expecting such a poor experience.

27th Aug 2025 (8 mo. ago)I am not qualified to review Halls as an organisation, but I am eminently qualified to review the help given to me by the delightful member of staff who dealt with my consignment, which was directly connected with Stalag Luft III and the Great Escape. If other members of staff at Halls share even half the fine attributes of Caroline Dennard, then I suspect that the organisation itself deserves five stars too. At a very difficult time in my life, following the death of my wife, Caroline was unstinting in her labours, her empathy and her professionalism. She did more to honour the memory of the remarkable wartime RAF officer, whose memorabilia I was reluctantly having to sell, than I could ever have hoped for, even arranging for additional research by Doctor Steve Bond. Her hard work and kindness both yielded great dividends, for she not only helped soothe my suffering soul, but also bettered the auction's guide price. Most important, she put my beloved step-father's memory and medals into the hands of someone who would understand and value them.

4th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)I had mixed personal reviews prior to my contacting Dourish and Day but I will NOT using them to sell my property as I'm appalled at the "it's not my job" attitude. I will be contacting the estate agency that sold my parents bungalow as they were proactive and cheaper fees! They refused to let myself, or my property agency, know the date/times of Dourish and Day availability for a valuation so an appointment could be arranged with my tenant. They also refused to make ONE phone call and contact the tenant directly as Dourish and Day had misunderstood what my tenant had said upon initial contact. My agent informed me that they have tried making contact but are awaiting a response from Dourish and Day which Dourish and Day have denied. When I requested an update this is the response "We will not move forward until they call us with the tenants availability for us to attend as it is their responsibility to clear things with them."
1st May 2026 (8 days ago)We are currently going through the conveyancing of our property and BJB have been brilliant throughout. You get a real sense of attention to detail and customer focus. From the start they have worked around us and supported. They have been ready to answer any questions and they are clear on what they will do to support you in selling your property. James was great when viewed and valued our property. He put real attention into getting the marketing right - and he's pretty handy with a camera! Paige looked after us from the day we went to market and was always available at the end of the phone when we needed her. She considered our needs for our next property worked with us at our pace to get everything in place. Her attention to detail is spot on and she goes above and beyond to keep you informed and updated. If you want to sell or buy a property, I would definitely recommend Butters John Bee in Nantwich.

When our first buyer fell through, Bethan was able to get us a better deal with the second buyers and it only took two days to sell the second time. A big thank for your efforts. Tracey was always there for us following the first sale. She was keen to help at all times answering our queries and progressed the sale most professionally. We can't thank her enough.

I viewed my dream home and was totally gutted when I wasn't accepted ????
