19th Oct 2026 (8 days ago)We decided to switch estate agents to William H. Brown in Wakefield after receiving very few viewings with our previous agent, and it turned out to be the right decision! Our very first viewing resulted in an offer, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, the sale later fell through, through no fault of the agents, but thankfully we managed to get things back on track and secure another buyer. We did eventually agree to a reduced price to help achieve a quicker sale, as by that point we were more than ready to move!<br>We mainly dealt with Amy and Annette, both of whom were incredibly helpful, supportive and understanding throughout the process. When our first sale fell through, I must admit I went to pieces a little (or perhaps a lot!). We were quite far along in the process, had sold most of our belongings and packed up much of the rest, so the thought of starting all over again was overwhelming. Amy and Annette were very understanding and reassuring during what was a particularly stressful time.<br>I did feel that I was chasing for updates occasionally, although, in fairness, this was probably more down to my own eagerness to get everything moving than anything else. Once you've mentally moved house, packed half your life into boxes and are desperate to get out of there, patience isn't exactly your strongest virtue!<br>Overall, we were very happy with the service and would happily recommend Amy, Annette and the team at William H. Brown in Wakefield. I'm not planning on selling again anytime soon (once was enough for my nerves!), but I will be turning to them to help us find our next property. Hopefully, they'll be just as good at helping us buy our new home as they were at helping us sell our old one! Thank you team

8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

She is an absolutely wonderful lady and has been exceptional throughout the sale of my property. What has at times been a stressful and overwhelming process has been made so much easier by Hayley’s kindness, patience, professionalism and genuine care. She has gone above and beyond at every stage, most recently helping enormously to resolve an issue with a fire door, taking the initiative and doing everything possible to find a practical and affordable solution. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble. Hayley doesn’t simply provide excellent customer service — she genuinely cares about the people she is helping. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her support. Reeds Rains are incredibly lucky to have her. Thank you so much, Hayley — you are an absolute star!

His professionalism, expertise, and commitment have been outstanding from start to finish. Whenever things have stalled, Matt has been proactive in chasing the vendor and both sides of the solicitors to keep everything moving forward. His communication and willingness to go the extra mile have made a real difference throughout the whole process.<br><br>I genuinely couldn’t fault Matt and the service he has provided. He has been fantastic throughout, and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking to buy a property.<br><br>If I were looking to buy or sell a property in the future, I would be more than happy to have Matt handling it again.
20th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)Professional<br>I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.<br>Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.<br>Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.

Amber, Hannah and the whole team were excellent throughout the process, they kept us fully informed and their communication was excellent. If we sell another property we will absolutely use Paisleys again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone (they are also very reasonably priced.)

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier.
