Oliver and the team went the extra mile and even showed me a property on a Sunday as I work full time a weekends just so I didn’t miss out! I spent 5 very happy years in a home in York thanks to Stephensons would recommend them to anyone first time every time ??????
15th Jan 2026 (16 weeks ago)Our experience with this agent was extremely disappointing and, frankly, shocking. We initially viewed the property with the vendor, and everything seemed positive. The house was listed just under £760k. At the time, our budget could stretch to around £700k (possibly slightly more). We were told this wouldn’t be enough as there was an offer of £725k on the table, although that buyer still needed to sell. On that basis, we stepped back. Several weeks later, after running the numbers again and while our own sale was uncertain, we increased our offer to £710k. After a lengthy phone conversation, the agent told us repeatedly that £725k was the figure required for a deal and that anything below this would not be considered. We were also told the vendor was thinking of withdrawing the property from the market until spring. Once our buyer had sold again, we managed to stretch to £725k and arranged a second viewing to finalise matters. During that viewing, the vendor was surprised to hear that £725k had been presented as an acceptable figure — she stated she had never told the agent she would accept this and was actually looking for much closer to £750k. When we raised this with the agent, they denied everything that had previously been said and refused to provide call recordings to clarify the situation. When pressed, the conversation became abrupt and the phone call was cut off. Had we simply been told from the start that the vendor wanted closer to £750k, we would have accepted that and made an informed decision. Instead, we were repeatedly told that £725k was the deal figure, only to later discover this was not true. This showed a serious lack of professionalism and transparency, wasted time, and caused unnecessary stress. My advice to anyone dealing with this agent is to record your own conversations. In our case, clear discussions were later denied and no call recordings were provided when requested.

Our initial viewing was with Lauren, who was welcoming, knowledgeable, and able to provide great insight into the local area. Following this, Naish were very accommodating when we requested a second viewing, making the process smooth and straightforward. Once our offer was accepted, we dealt with Kim Riley, who was fantastic throughout. She played a key role in liaising between us and the vendors, helping to keep communication flowing and ensuring that queries were answered quickly. Her proactive approach undoubtedly helped to speed up the purchase process and likely reduced the workload on the solicitors as well. Overall, the team at Naish made what can often be a stressful process feel much more manageable, and we would highly recommend their service- 18th Feb 2026 (11 weeks ago)Helpful and responsive.
22nd Apr 2026 (16 days ago)I’ve never dealt with a worse estate agent. Moving from Cornwall to York, I trusted them not to take advantage of me, given that I couldn’t see the property in person before renting it. What I was greeted by was scarcely believable, as you can see from the photos. They routinely ignored me when I asked to have things fixed, and lied to me when I asked them to contact the landlord, stating they had contacted them when they hadn’t. Use Ashtons instead. They were exemplary when I used them instead. My old landlord has even left Bridgfords to take his business to Ashtons as well. Pathetic, shameless company. Avoid.

From start to finish, she made the entire mortgage process feel straightforward and stress-free. Hannah is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and always took the time to explain everything clearly, which gave me real confidence in every decision. She went above and beyond to find the best solution for my situation and kept things moving efficiently throughout.

27th Apr 2022 (4 years ago)Absolutely phenomenal service from Redmove Estate Agents. We sold our bungalow and the entire process from end to end was slick and efficient, from the original valuation carried out by Michael to the ongoing unapparelled support from Natalie who not only helped to actually sell our property but went on to provide continuous support and guidance throughout the entire process. It's a well know statistic that moving home is one of the most stressful things you can ever experience. However, we have to say that receiving the level of care and support we received from Natalie was not something we'd never experienced before and she enabled the move to be smooth and stress free. We have moved several times and we've never ever recieved such sublime service, care and support as we had with Redmove Estate Agents. If you're selling/buying a property and you want the very best then choose Redmove. High end fantastic service and value for money! Thank you so much to Michael, Natalie, & the Team for a job incredibly well done!!

It's not a great time to sell at present but Scott and his staff did everything possible to promote our property and were amazing guiding us through the sale process. A lovely bunch of, friendly people, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Thanks also to Rob who negotiated a great price on a previous property a couple of years ago, Sam who was most helpful this time around. A great bunch and would have no hesitation in using them again .

As a firm they don’t simply rely on RightMove, but instead Monroe offer a wealth of potential buyers who they take the time to match with the right property. Communication has been excellent, with good commercial and supportive advice always available. Monroe took time to learn about our house and delivered continuity with both viewings and feedback. Once we had agreed a sale Monroe’s sales progression coordinator ensured that all solicitors in our chain were kept in the loop and that potential delays were unblocked by exceptional communication skills. Having used a number of estate agents over the years we have never had such an excellent service and enjoyable experience as we have with the team at Monroe. 20th Feb 2026 (11 weeks ago)We’ve had an outstanding experience with Harvey at the York branch of Reeds Rains, and we truly couldn’t recommend him more highly. What really stood out to us is that Harvey is a man of his word. If he says he’ll call you back, he does at exactly the time he promises. That level of reliability is rare and incredibly appreciated. He consistently goes out of his way to support us in our search, always making us feel like a priority. We especially value his honesty. If he’s unsure about something, he’ll say so then take the time to find the correct information and come back to us. There’s no guesswork, no hard sales tactics, and absolutely no “flip flop” answers just straightforward, trustworthy advice. The York branch is very lucky to have him.
