Throughout the whole process he kept me posted and explained everything I needed to know. He went above and beyond as I'm sure a lot of the times he was calling me were way past his home time. Got my keys today and look forward to renegotiating in five years.

31st May 2025 (11 mo. ago)We used “Which” to find out the best performing local agents, of these we approached Greenwoods first as they have an office within walking distance. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient from the start, and Branch Manager, Phil Marsh, took us through every step of the process. From then on, Phil kept us informed and responded to all of our queries. He consistently provided all the assistance we needed to obtain a sale. We would recommend the Wells Road branch without hesitation.

13th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend.
1st May 2026 (8 days ago)Christina and Sally were fantastic throughout our move. They were always available for advice and help. What was really great though, was they keeping us informed whilst proactively chasing up our sizeable chain which had some very slow moving and non-communicative parties so knowing that Christina and Sally were keeping tabs on everything and actively trying to move us forwards was as great relief and definitely kept us sane. Trustworthy and helpful, would definitely recommend

27th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)Sarah, Adam and team have recently sold 2 houses for us, one was a nightmare tried exchanging over 4 days, then ended up exchanging and completing on one day, well done guys, highly recommended they talked me through everything and when the chain got complicated on one, Sarah explained it in a email that was easy to understand. You won’t go wrong with them, just don’t use the cheapest solicitor, our solicitor was excellent, others on the chain hmm.

Natasha who showed us around was lovely, very professional but equally down to earth and not pushy at all :) Since then we have had our offer accepted on the property. Stuart has been a wealth of knowledge on the other end of the phone, answering all of questions perfectly with great knowledge and useful info about the property and surrounding areas. He phoned us on a Sunday to get it all sorted which shows dedication :) Thankyou both and we look forward to a straight forward process from here on :)

12th Feb 2026 (12 weeks ago)The agents were generally adequate, though punctuality was a concern. During one arranged inspection, the agent arrived over an hour late. I had contacted the office beforehand to cancel as I was no longer available, but the agent still attempted to gain entry and became defensive and confrontational when refused access. My main concern is with the property management companies they represent. I would strongly advise caution when dealing with properties managed by Forge Property Group. Despite being an exemplary tenant with a perfect payment record and maintaining the property to a high standard, they demonstrated extreme inflexibility. When my partner's grandfather passed away and we inherited his cat, Forge Property Group refused to allow it despite my offer of additional security deposit and the fact other flats in the building have pets. They refused to renew my tenancy solely due to this, then served a formal Section 21 eviction notice as a "precautionary measure" despite my full cooperation. The property was not redecorated between tenancies and basic maintenance required extensive follow-up. Future tenants: document everything in writing and be aware that flexibility cannot be expected from this management company.

30th Apr 2026 (9 days ago)Allsopp have been our managing agents for many years and we would highly recommend them. They are always immediately responsive to any questions and problems that may arise. They have guided us expertly through finding tenants and advising us on realistic rental income. Further, they have a team of honest and reliable trades people to help resolve any issues and as a team are extremely well informed, helpful and friendly. On the sales side, they sold a property for us very quickly and recommended solicitors making the whole process stress free and painless. It is the best agency in Harpenden.
2nd Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)Exceptionally poor communication throughout. Complaints process a sham. High staff turn over with no real single point of contact or person showing your property so a complete lack of consistency.

We found the whole team to be very friendly and professional and easy to work with. Would highly recommend.
