The professionalism, the care and the attention to detail from the whole team made ir so that, getting on the property ladder, was an easier process than the one we anticipated. The entire end-to-end process was smooth, efficient, and well explained step by step. The property was professionally cleaned and met a high standard. Everything was handled properly, and we are very satisfied with the experience.

I’m currently dealing with a very stressful situation at home, so navigating the rental process could have easily felt overwhelming. However, Jonas has made the experience genuinely refreshing. From the start, he has been approachable, responsive, and supportive. His communication has been excellent, and he’s always taken the time to answer my questions and keep me updated, which has really helped ease some of the stress I’ve been under. After my recent experience with renting, it’s been such a relief to deal with someone who is professional, helpful, and clearly cares about making the process as smooth as possible. Quick call back from enquiry, and friendly demeanour on the phone. We were shown around a property by Oliver and although not right for us, we were both impressed with him. He was informative, and direct, and I did not feel like I was being lead up the garden path with cheap sales language. Would absolutely recommend, and in particular Oliver at the Blackheath branch!

28th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)Fuse box was burning and nothing was done after reporting several times, had to call fire brigade 2 days later, whereby they confirmed it was still a massive fire risk (Truepennys did not act when 15 people’s lives were at risk due to a serious fire hazard). I was put in a temporary room with no power, light, heating during cold temperatures outside (I was freezing - -1 degrees outside) - and instead of helping they ceased to act on my behalf, and cancelled the contract. This left me with no one to communicate with, as they refused to speak to me on the phone from thereon after. I was left in a flat with no power and me and my girlfriend had to sleep at a friend’s house, as it did not seem safe but TruePennys didn’t care. The directors refused to speak to me after agreeing to call me back 5 times - truly shameful and Truepennys should be really disappointed with how they treat people. They never reply on emails or on the phone. They are now refusing to release my security deposit and ignoring emails. This along with mice issues, bathroom smells and dodgy fridges and ovens which were reported for the entirety of our tenancy and nothing was done. However, not responding to a life threatening incident is disgusting by all accounts.
