7th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)I want to share our experience as tenants with Slater & Hogg Glasgow over two years to help future renters make an informed decision.<br><br>Before signing the tenancy agreement and collecting the keys, we were told that the flat would be cleaned and ready for us. We were also told that a crack in the ceiling would be repaired before we moved in. However, when we arrived after receiving the keys, the flat was in a poor condition. There were food leftovers inside the oven, an opened packet of sanitary pads left behind in the bedroom, and the property was generally dirty. The crack in the ceiling had also not been repaired.<br><br>We also never received the mailbox key. After sending multiple emails and receiving no response for over a month, we had no choice but to arrange a locksmith ourselves and replace the lock.<br><br>The inventory report was another major issue. The report stated that the property was clean and in good condition when we moved in, but this did not reflect the condition we found on arrival. Many existing issues were either not recorded or were not accurately documented. For example, some photographs did not show the full extent of the problems. A sofa that was broken was photographed in a way that did not show the damaged middle section, and the report did not mention that the sofa was broken.<br><br>Because of these issues, when we moved out we specifically requested to be present during the checkout inventory inspection. We even paid for additional days so this could happen. On the day of the scheduled checkout, the inspector did not attend, and we were informed that they had forgotten.<br><br>After leaving the property, we then spent another month chasing reimbursement for the locksmith costs. Even this turned into a difficult and time-consuming process.<br><br>Overall, we found dealing with Slater & Hogg to be stressful and time-consuming. Based on our experience, I would encourage prospective tenants to carefully consider all their options before renting through this agency.

From the very first visit to view the property, the team were professional, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable. They arranged the photos quickly, made the whole process feel effortless, and set up viewings to suit our specific times and dates, which took a huge amount of stress off us.<br><br>Throughout the sale, they kept us fully up to date with every development. We were informed of offers promptly, and after closing they took the time to walk us through each one so we understood everything clearly. Their communication was consistent, reassuring, and always helpful.<br><br>Every member of staff we dealt with was fantastic — supportive, organised, and genuinely invested in making the process smooth for us. We couldn’t have asked for better service and would highly recommend Residence to anyone selling their home.

We have worked with Jason a few times over the years and most recently he sold our family home as well as an investment property on our behalf.<br>From a sellers point of view, Jason goes above and beyond to maximise your sale. He’s an expert in his field and is highly knowledgeable on current market conditions, he was able to advise us throughout the entire process. We gained an impressive 15% above home report and I believe this was down to Hadons knowledge and amazing negotiation skills.<br>The office staff at Harbor are incredible and work hard to market your property, follow on leads and are very professional with potential buyers. Everything ran like clockwork.<br>The media team were amazing and provided incredible marketing material, again they went above and beyond. They visited my property twice, daytime and at night to capture contrasting shots.<br><br>Selling houses is stressful but this team take the stress away, keep you informed and work hard to sell your property. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

From the start when I was hunting for properties, all the way to sealing the deal with the Solicitors - Joe at Allen and Harris Shawlands was brilliant. Personable, Knowledgeable and invested in getting me the property I wanted. Later days, Scott (I'm assuming the spelling) was on point, great communication and made the final steps as easy as can be.<br><br>Sincerely, thank you to the team at Shawlands.

6th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)Unfortunately, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very disappointing, mainly because of poor communication and a lack of professionalism throughout the process.<br>Before our house was put on the market, Amanda was very confident that she could achieve a certain price for our property. However, our first concern was when the photos were taken using a phone rather than professional camera equipment. Although phone cameras are good these days, the photos did not have the quality we expected for selling a property. When the advert went live, there were too many photos, and some did not show the house in the best way.<br><br>The biggest problem for us was communication. After the first week, it became difficult to get updates. There were very few viewings, and things did not improve while we were with them. Calls often went unanswered, and promised call-backs rarely happened. We often felt like we were chasing them for information rather than being kept updated.<br><br>After around three weeks of frustration, we decided to end our agreement with them. What disappointed us most was that there was no real effort to understand why we wanted to leave. We were simply asked to pay the marketing fee so the property could be taken off the market. Once we paid, the only reply we received was confirmation of payment and a short “good luck” message.<br>After this, I noticed I had been blocked on WhatsApp and social media. I also emailed about removing the “For Sale” sign but received no reply or confirmation that this had been arranged.<br><br>Overall, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very poor. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend them to others. The level of communication, professionalism and customer service was not what we expected when selling our home.
23rd Dec 2024 (1 year ago)I have been a tenant with Northwood for over 20 years,and I cannot thank them enough,anytime I had a problem or repair it was always dealt with quickly and efficiently,they have always been at the other end of the phone if needed,if anyone out there is looking for a flat ,I would guarantee no where better than Northwood Glasgow,many many thanks Isabelle,Keith,Pam,Craig,Kyle,Thomas and all the rest of the staff,thanks again Craig for helping Mark this morning???????????? A very friendly and approachable person. I hope his work ethic and client centred approach is appreciated internally as it is externally.<br><br>I had a horrible experience with another estate agent and spoke to Allan for some advice, and even though I ended up changing my mind about selling, Allan was more than happy to help me with any questions I had. I truly felt supported and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Allan to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

Sorry to say but there must be many better agents out there if a fair assessment is made.

16th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)Had the privilege of working with Scott who helped me greatly in setting my property up initially as I purchased it on auction and so it was quite dilapidated and he helped in organising the refurbishment and brining it up to compliance. Further down the line I also had the privilege of working with Alex who helped me a great deal with giving me a fair and honest assessment of so many properties and the areas, and gave me very sound sincere advise on which to go for and which not to. He did a good analysis on rental projections. Overall it has been wonderful working with Zone Lettings as a whole.

Craig, Megan, Laura and all of the team were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. By far the best property selling experience that we have had. Would not hesitate in recommending them for any others looking to sell their property in the southside.
24th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)I can wholeheartedly recommend the team at Yates Hellier. From the start Ross explained the whole process very clearly and put my mind at ease. I chose Yates Hellier as I was impressed with their promises of a more personal touch than the larger West End estate agents and they did not disappoint. Ross and Lisa were very easy to deal with . They were in constant communication with updates and viewings. The whole process from marketing to viewings went incredibly smoothly. Even when my initial buyer pulled out at the last minute, Ross and Lisa swooped into action and found another buyer in a matter of hours! Ross and Lisa dealt with all aspects of selling my flat and clearly know their stuff. They were highly professional, kept in constant touch and we sold our flat for a price we were delighted with. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Picked up keys today and very happy with the purchase for the price I got it for - would 100% use them again for another purchase as they have a lot of good deals if you are looking to buy tenanted property.
