28th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Initially John Brown was the most professional of the agents I viewed and made the most sense eschewing estateagentese. They quickly found a buyer but she was very difficult and the sale dragged on over a year. However that was not of their making and they worked very hard for us. The first sale collapsed due to our purchaser's delaying. We stuck to our vendors and reconstituted the chain. Thanks to Mr Youll we got over the line

4th May 2026 (10 weeks ago)I strongly advise against renting from this letting agency. I’ve never dealt with such an unprofessional and unpleasant company. They were inconsiderate and rude, failed to return my full deposit even though the property was left immaculate, and repeatedly showed up at the flat unannounced. It was an extremely negative experience from start to finish.

They have done a truly professional job, and the flat has been tenanted for almost 100% of the time. Our contacts at Obbard have been consistently professional, friendly, and easy to reach. We never felt like we were never heard, even though I am a bit of a cautious person and been told it’s too much at time, the guys at Good Neighbours never made me feel like I was doing too much. 29th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)I have been renting a property managed by Howard Baker Estates for three years. The property was presented really well and maintained periodically by them. Really impressed with their professionalism in handling things right from renting, maintenance, periodic checks etc. Sam and Team does a great job in managing all these aspects. Renters can feel relaxed if they get such expert property managers. I recommend Howard Baker Estates due to the quality of their properties.

24th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)ABSOLUTELY AVOID: A Nightmare Letting Experience Focused on Scams This agency is, without question, the worst I have ever dealt with and should be avoided by any tenant who values their rights and their deposit. For two years, we tolerated poor service, including numerous unresolved maintenance issues. The real problems began when they attempted a massive rent hike, only to backtrack when we chose to leave—a clear failed attempt to squeeze extra money from long-term tenants. During our exit, they demonstrated a complete disregard for us, pushing for aggressive, last-minute viewings, including on weekends. When we left the property four days early to accommodate their viewing schedule, they repaid our good faith by charging us for those four days and offering zero thanks. The true nightmare, however, was the deposit return process, which took a full, miserable month. They relentlessly and fraudulently tried to find excuses to retain funds. They completely ignored the official check-out report stating the property suffered only fair wear and tear. They repeatedly changed their story on which room was damaged and, most outrageously, tried to charge us for a full repaint that they had already promised prospective new tenants would be covered by the landlord. This appalling conduct resulted in an unjust deduction of £300. Be warned: this agency will always prioritize the landlord, and they will absolutely attempt to scam you out of your deposit with false claims and continuous deceit. Save yourself the stress and find another company.
4th Aug 2023 (2 years ago)I found Lloyds Residential excellent in dealing with the sale of my property. Considering the drop in house prices at the moment they managed to sell my house for a reasonable amount.
