18th Apr 2026 (18 weeks ago)I purchased a house from Shenley Estates and although selling and buying a house is far from a pleasant experience, Shenley Estates get the job done. Although Natalie was working on behalf of the sellers, I believe that from when I viewed my house to the actual completion, it mattered to her that I was matched well and that my future happiness was also important to her. I have been living in Shenley since January, I love the area and everyone I have met so far have been lovely. I am enjoying making my new house a home, thank you Natalie and Craig.

25th Jun 2026 (9 weeks ago)This is the third property i have bought in Shenley and Chris and Georgina have managed the all three. I wouldn't use anyone else. In this tough market we find ourselves in they work tirelessly to push the sale of your property and help in finding you the perfect fit for your next move. This stressful process was made even more difficult by a sub standard solicitor and Georgina went above and beyond to try and help solve the delays and issues caused by this. A real family business who i cannot rate highly enough.

I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service
20th Oct 2025 (10 mo. ago)When I enquired about a property’s asking price and the seller’s position, I was met with terse, dismissive replies from the female agent I spoke to on the phone - a remarkably unhelpful attitude towards a serious buyer. I decided to proceed with the viewing regardless, but communication remained poor throughout. Afterwards, I submitted a formal offer, which was completely ignored. I never received any confirmation or follow-up, and it appeared my offer may not even have been passed to the vendors - which, if true, would be a breach of legal duty. The overall experience suggested a lack of basic organisation, professionalism, and integrity. For sellers, that should be alarming; for buyers, it’s simply exasperating. I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this agency.

From the initial valuation, she arranged an excellent photographer who captured our property beautifully and presented it in the best possible way. She took ownership of the entire process, coordinating viewings efficiently and keeping us informed every step of the way. What really stood out was her commitment to gathering feedback from every viewer and promptly sharing it with us. She always made sure we knew exactly what was happening and what to expect next – a level of communication we have not experienced with other estate agents. She remained positive, professional, and ensured that accurate information was communicated to all parties throughout the process. Her dedication, transparency, and proactive approach made what can often be a stressful experience feel straightforward and manageable. Honestly, had we worked with someone else, I don't think we would have enjoyed the selling process nearly as much. Engel made the entire journey easy and stress-free. On top of that, her fees are genuinely competitive and offer excellent value for the service she provides. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to family and friends. 2nd Nov 2025 (9 mo. ago)I don't feel they really put any effort into trying to sell our property. The quality of the pictures and listing was not up to scratch. We had to chase for information a lot. I regret choosing them.

My house sale was complicated and, from the very start and throughout the process, Nicola put herself out to provide accurate and realistic information. She also gave me lots of her time to help me think things through. She always went the extra mile and I'm grateful for the service she, and sometimes her colleagues, provided.

Any questions that I had have been promptly dealt with. I was able to move in to my new place reasonably quickly. I have also been contacted by few other agents at VIA Properties and with confidence can recommend these estate agents to others.

No question or query from us was too small or unimportant and was dealt with immediately in a calm and friendly manner. We had absolute faith that Lowthers was working to deliver the best results for us and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the individual attention that this small family firm delivers for its clients.

They had considerable knowledge of the local sales situation and were very understanding, as well as very professional. 5th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)One call undertook a complete refurbishment of my one bedroom flat - new kitchen, bathroom, lights, doors, plaster work, redecorating. Super reliable and high quality job pretty much on time (the heatwave slowed work a few days which is understandable). No nasty surprises when a couple of unavoidable issues popped up and I made a few new choices - I was always fully aware of cost and timetable. Highly recommended.

7th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)I mainly dealt with mArie when I was selling my property. She was on time for appointments and kept me informed and up to date. It did take a while to eventually sell the property, this was probably due to interest rates and the property being bespoke
