27th Apr 2026 (17 weeks ago)I was a tenant of Dockside Property services for two years. In that time, they charged me disgusting amounts for a check in fee, check out few, signing fee, if they had any involvement you better believe you'd pay for it. They also took 1.5 years of that two year tenancy to fit a bathroom extractor fan which was broken when I moved in, and that the previous tenant tried to get fixed. Every issue I ever raised was dealt with in a sluggish manner sadly - an online portal / report system can be as fancy as it wants - but it doesn't help unless you actually check it. They were also kind enough to charge us for additional cleaning of the property when we left it spotless - as well as trying to charge us £60 for replacing a piece of wood under the dishwasher that wasn't fitted back after repairs that they did. The reason it didn't fit was because the repair made the gap physically too small for the wood to fit in, so oddly enough I couldn't refit it, but somehow they didn't seem to understand that. Maybe they didn't do that "get the shape in the hole" game when they were younger. After explaining this they then doubled down on their stupidly and we disputed via the DPS, and they settled in our favour because I figure someone that works there actually has eyes / a basic understanding of shapes and measurements. Either way, I wouldn't rent from them again unless I had no other option. Oh, and if you're looking at renting 25 The Eye, the flats in Chatham, the hot water is basically non existant (unless you take 3 second showers), the washing machine is from the early 90's, rent is very high, you can hear every breath of your neighbours (above, on both sides and below) as well as the lovely potent smelling...."cigarettes" from those below 24/7 - and if you hear a scuttling in the night in the walls or see something dash across the kitchen floor, don't worry, that's just the rats from the bin store under the building. ??????

Arranging surveys with the sellers directly for us, keeping us informed of everything via telephone rather than snail mail like "some" people.<br>From the viewing with Katy to updates from Emma and Victoria it always made my day hearing from them as it was always progreession news.<br>5 stars everyday.

12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)1 STAR – VERY DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE<br><br>I contacted Wards Broadstairs regarding a £1,550 per month apartment at Gallery Walk in Margate. I was genuinely interested in the property and simply wanted to ask a few questions before deciding whether to arrange a viewing.<br><br>Unfortunately, the way I was spoken to by the member of staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was made to feel as though I was wasting her time simply by asking questions. I was told that I would need to earn approximately £47,000 per year to qualify. I explained that my income is around £45,000 and asked whether there were any alternative options, such as a guarantor, but there seemed to be absolutely no willingness to discuss this.<br><br>I completely understand that letting agents have affordability criteria and checks to follow. That is not my complaint. My complaint is the attitude and lack of basic customer service.<br><br>I am a local resident and a business owner with two businesses in Margate, and I was genuinely looking to rent locally. With rental properties sitting empty because of high asking prices, I would expect an estate agent to at least speak to potential tenants respectfully and professionally.<br><br>A few simple questions should not feel like an interrogation.<br><br>Very disappointing experience with Wards Broadstairs. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because customers should be treated with respect even when they may not immediately meet a particular affordability calculation.

17th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)We have now sold two properties with Martin & Co and our experience has been very much hassle free. We have always been kept in the loop when it came to viewings and found the feedback very useful. We have found all members of staff very helpful but David in particular has been our main contact during our sales. He is clearly knowledgeable and his advice has always been on point.

15th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)September 2025 was not a good time to sell a house.The financial crisis, followed by Christmas, had everyone worrying about money .It took until Spring before there was any real interest.However, the team at Wards stuck with it Jordan gave me good advice and the team began to send a few potential buyers ,people who were enthusiastic about my property. Finally, the right couple came along,a couple who I was happy to sell to.- 17th Aug 2026 (6 days ago)I spoke with Wards in Sittingbourne for the first time on Sunday regarding a shared ownership property. My call was picked up by Phil Horley who is a Senior Sales Manager there and I can only say great things about him. He was informative, professional and best of all, really funny. Had me laughing all the way through whilst getting my details and helpfully booking me in to have a consultation re my affordability under the scheme. It was a delightful conversation especially as I was expecting not such a friendly call. Thanks Phil!

14th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)I made an enquiry relating to the recent successful sale of my (non UK resident) brother's apartment by MIles & Barr's Birchington Office. It was for Capital Gains Tax purposes, and I was anticipating a laborious process, as with most things these days. My call was taken by Tom, a Senior Branch Manager, who explained what he could do. Within a very short time, he emailed the information requested, in the format required. I was very pleased with this rapid and efficient response for what was a 'non mainstream' question on a very hot August day. He is truly an asset to the business, so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We have used Miles & Barr for a number of transactions now and they have always been very successful.
