Gillingham ward, I remember the first time I approached them of our intention. You encouraged us through it.you were helpful during, honest and kind. We had to go back to check like 3times to ensure we saw what we thought we saw and every time we wanted to recheck, the door was opened and they were supportive till the end.
Adam was supportive and ask us to go and check the properties that suits our needs. He was helpful during the viewing and all. We did as advised and 5month afterwards, we are happy.
Nicole was also exceptional, answering our calls, questions and queries. She made things easy. Connecting us to Kim on time.
In general, Ward has great team work. You can relax while they work for you behind the scenes. I would recommends them to my friends.

After a deeply emotional time of losing my parents, we found ourselves in the difficult position of needing to sell their property. The journey began with probate valuations, and we were fortunate enough to receive a valuation from Gary at Wards. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, we made the error of choosing a different agent who suggested auctioning the property, which we believed would be the quickest solution.
In hindsight, we wish we had heeded Gary's advice that the property was not suited for auction. The weeks that followed with the other agent were incredibly stressful and unproductive. We were already under immense pressure, as we were simultaneously managing the sales of my own property, my mother-in-law's, and my aunt-in-law's, with plans to relocate to the Midlands.
Thankfully, we eventually turned to Wards, and the difference was remarkable. The entire team displayed outstanding communication, friendliness, and a strong sense of urgency that we desperately needed. From the first moment we engaged with them, Jenny was incredibly supportive, always ready to help whenever we had questions. Adam, Nicole, and Bradley kept us informed at every step, which was a huge relief during such a turbulent time.
Once we went live with Wards, the results were immediate. We had a viewing booked for the following Friday, and an open house scheduled for Saturday. To our amazement, we received an offer the very first day and ended up with a total of nine offers from the open house, ultimately selling for over the asking price! It felt like a dream come true, and we were over the moon with the outcome.

After a very emotional time of losing my dad, we had to sell his property sadly. we had probate valuations as required, Gary from wards gave us their valuation, unfortunately we made the wrong decision and went with a different agent as they recommended auction, and it seemed easiest and quickest for us.
Gary had advised it is the wrong sort of property for auction, how we wish we had listened!!
we wasted 16 weeks with another agent! time and stress we did not have or need. luckily, we decided to go to wards, and what a complete difference in the communication, friendliness, and urgency we received from the whole team, Jenny was always so helpful if we needed to call in. Adam kept us updated, along with Nicole and Bradley!
Almost straight after we went live with Wards, we had a viewing booked for the following Friday and a full open house on the Saturday, we received an offer on the Friday and in total nine offers from the open house!! and sold for over the asking price!
To say we were over the moon is an understatement! we not just with the sale but with the ease of it since being with wards!

Although I didn't end up buying a property through Wards I felt the most looked after. I was on the "hot buyers" list at multiple estate agents after speaking with their brokers, none of which were calling me offering as many viewings as wards were. I have been trying to purchase a place through Wards since last year. The first one
The Purchase fell through after waiting 6months for a completion date. So I find a another property and was assured that everything will complete in 12 weeks. But again it’s been another 6 months and no completion date. In all I have wasted a year waiting and have lost out on lot of money in fees but no purchase. I have lost my mortgage offer also as it expired due to the time it’s taken. This is all because Wards were not completely honest with me from the start and have held back on important information which has caused the delay.
I have emailed them explaining my disappointment in the way they have dealt with me, only to be ignored. No reply and I think it’s disgusting how they play with people only to secure a sale and than leave you hanging for months with no result. All
This could have been avoided if they had just been honest from the start.

When we looked for an estate agent to sell our family home, we wanted to ensure we instructed a reputable, trustworthy and personal estate agent. We chose Ward as we really liked the marketing aspect, especially the ‘dolly house’ 3D animation and we were assured the ‘personal touch’ comes as standard. This had been our family home, with a huge amount of work and love gone into making it so, and it was important to us that we trusted the estate agent selling our property.
On discussing the price for the property initially the advice given by Gary was a figure that we felt was quite low in comparison to what other agents that had been quoted, my partner insisted on a higher figure. In hindsight we potentially could have priced it even higher!Reason im saying this is, as discussed at initial visit, if the price went over what was recommended Ward would get a % in addition to their set fees. After everything was fully completed and sold, upon reflection we felt suspicious as to why the flat was REALLY valued at the initial price – we may be totally wrong,however was this a sales ploy as it makes sense to be able to get additional commission!! After reading below you may understand our reasoning.
After the initial visit there was very little ‘personal’ communication. Most of the time we called the office chasing and asking questions rather than being informed directly. Yes, you could see ‘progress’ on the app (which Is where I found out we had viewings booked and offers placed!!) however we stated this at our initial meeting. Communication being a major key aspect and our main reason for not going with a web-based agent as we expected,wanted and had been assured the personal touch/communication would be second to none !
Unfortunatley this was raised with the Gillingham branch, and we were assured they would contact us by phone rather than rely on the app, emails or us chasing for information. To be honest there was limited contact, we felt like a burden rather than a ‘customer’, on more than one occasion the reception on the phone was very frosty and not at all professional in our eyes. (Prince in the branch was always lovely and as helpful as he could be}
What we were described is certainly NOT what we got, yes, the flat got lots of viewings and offers, the flat would pretty much sell itself. After one viewing the door was left UNLOCKED, yes accidental, however you put your home into hands of professionals you expect it to be taken care of.
Once the offer was going through, we were ‘supported’ by Kim, am not totally sure what Kim did as I often gave her the information and chased the solicitors, however, am sure her role is required.
Just before the sale was finalised to our horror, we received an email from Kim (senior sales for Gillingham and Rainham) ASKING to give a 5 star review!!! Not only asking but giving instructions on how to give a 5-star review on TRUSTPIOLT / Ward site and to copy in her bosses in both Gillingham and Rainham branches as well as how to do a review on Google.
I read this email utterly shocked, but the worst was the total and utter disregard for GDPR, Kim had forwarded said email with another's customers email attached (this is clearly common practice as the customer was replying to the email we were sent!!! I could read, and if I wanted to contact this other customer of Wards – I do not like the idea of our personal communications being sent out to anyone.
We paid £3,912.00 inc.vat for this service, the monies paid out we feel did not reflect the service we recieved at all. If we could turn back time we would certainly had used a different agent who we feel would had better customer experience and more of a personal touch for all reasons stated above.
WARD have the marketing advantage but your property will realisticsally sell itself -
USE a independant rather than a money grabbing chain.

It has been a journey since October 2020 to the 31/3/21. Much of the delay was from the mortgage lender and this was due to pandemic period, people working from home and the stringent checks by mortgage lenders. However, Wards (Kim Batchelor) made it easy for us, her professionalism and efficiency made the journey so smooth that we just realised it has taken 6 months. The regular updates from Kim really helped and it has been a great working with you and keep up the good work.

We bought our house originally from Wards in Gillingham, so when it came to sell we decided to go with them as we had a good experience a buyers.
We were selling our house over the Christmas Period (2019) and Wards were very proactive and on the ball in marketing our house and getting viewings at what is normal a quiet time. Come the second week of January we received an offer for the asking price.
Unfortunately Covid-19 and lockdown hit in March and our sale could have fallen through, however Kim Batchelor our sales progressor was great in helping us get our sale over the line at a very insecure time with a rather erratic buyer.

Brilliant service received during the Covid-19 pandemic where things were very uncertain. Kim Sale- sales coordinator was specifically great throughout.
