7th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)I would not recommend entering into any arrangement with this agency without extreme caution! It will also be worth checking the numerous negative reviews here! Based on my personal experience, I encountered ongoing issues with communication, contractual handling and payment-related matters. Certain concerns, including payments and entitlements, remained unresolved despite being formally raised and supported with screenshot, and no meaningful response was provided! For landlords, it is important to clearly establish in advance how the property will be marketed, how pricing will be structured, and whether any all-inclusive (bills included) arrangements may be applied, as these factors can significantly affect outcomes. Overall, anyone (tenants, landlords and employees) considering working with this agency should be prepared for potential complications! 5th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)Disappointing experience. Took time off work to attend a viewing, only to have the agent discuss a live offer with the seller in front of me during the appointment. It made for a really awkward and unprofessional situation. While they later acknowledged it could have been handled differently, they ultimately stood by their actions. Needless to say I wound trust then to be involved in and sales or purchase. Basic discretion during viewings shouldn’t be too much to expect right?

25th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)Made an appointment to view a house in Hollywell Road, turned up to the viewing after driving from Bristol to be told it had been sold that morning. They said they tried to phone me despite them having my phone number, email details etc and them phoning me this week already to confirm the viewing...

She went above and beyond to accommodate multiple viewing requests, both in-person and video tours, making the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free, especially given how busy life can get. The apartment was in fantastic condition when I arrived, clean, well-presented, and exactly as promised. Communication throughout was excellent, always prompt, friendly, and professional.

19th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)They offered advice on valuation that matched our expectations, they put it on the market at the value we wanted. We had viewings constantly whilst it was on the market. They advised us to keep taking viewings after offer accepted until we were sale agreed. This resulted in a higher bid, so it was worth it. Only negative was the amount of Photoshop used in photos.- 17th Jun 2026 (18 days ago)Dowen, Unprofessional estate agent.… I was very disappointed with Down estate agents, I booked a viewing for 1400hrs on the 17th June, at park road Hartlepool, and confirmed it with the agency, we waited for over 30 minutes for an agent to turn up, but no one did, I called their office and the lady said she's stuck in traffic she will be there shortly, we waited for a further 20 minutes, but no one turned up, I called the office again but this time no one answered, so I left a message, stating that if no one turns up in 5 minutes, we won't be bothering with the viewing, no one turned up, this company is so so so unprofessional, and I would not recommend anyone to do business with them, if they can't be bothered to turn up for a viewing of a property, then it says it all, It's that bad that I can't start rate them,

I was extremely happy with Clare who throughout the process was always efficient ,friendly,supportive and conscientious .She replied to and resolved any queries promptly.The communication about viewings was very good and we were reminded about viewings the day before. I was very disappointed by the Sales Progressor who was difficult to speak to ,worked short hours and failed to contact us promptly causing difficulty and additional stress.

22nd May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Rented a 2 bed lovely flat. There were two burnt marks on the living room carpet before I moved in. The lovely lady that showed me and my daughter pointed out the marks to us and I replied it's fine as I really loved the flat. The lady I handed the keys back to the flat yesterday and is the same lady who went round the flat with me before I moved in. Made a note of the burnt marks yet yesterday accused me of burning the carpet with wax. I am not happy been accused of something the last tenant did. Also I was promised an inventory of the flat as at the time they only had one. Was promised it would be dropped back off at the flat I never received it.

Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.
