5th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)Appalling handling of tenancy deposit — avoid We vacated our property at Masters Court, Harrow on 30 January 2026 in good condition, and over a month later we have still not received our deposit back. The handling of this entire process by Connells has been deeply disappointing. Despite sending multiple emails and attempting to call numerous times, we have received nothing but vague responses saying they are "still liaising with the former landlord." No clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability. Phone calls have gone unanswered, and no direct contact number has been provided despite requests. The items flagged in the checkout report are standard fair wear and tear under TDS guidelines — minor wall marks, limescale build-up typical of Harrow's hard water, None of these justify withholding our deposit. To make matters worse, wife is 24 weeks pregnant, and the unnecessary financial stress caused by this prolonged delay has had a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. This is completely unacceptable. We have now raised a formal dispute through the tenancy deposit scheme, which should never have been necessary. We have never experienced such poor deposit handling with any previous letting agency. If you are a prospective tenant — be warned. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

They are friendly, professional and diligent in every aspect of the process. We had an unusual delay on the recent purchase which was frustrating for all involved, but the Sales Progression Manager (Wendy Curtis) was simply brilliant in helping us through this. A huge thanks to Wendy and the entire team. I’m more than happy to recommend them.

Claire and her team gave me a very realistic valuation and expectation of what the market was at the time. We set out the strategy to sell the property and the incredibly proactive Emmie got me an incredible offer just a few weeks after putting it on the market. Emmie was incredibly helpful in bridging the gap between me and the buyer and she was resolute and fast in getting the deal over the line to completion, helping me deal with all the parties involved. I am very happy with how it all went.

Barbara enabled the sale to progress quickly and smoothly by diligently liasing with all parties (including solicitors and surveyors etc). She was always helpful, professional, enthusiastic and efficient. We are grateful that she was assigned to our sale as not only did she do her job brilliantly; she was super to work with!

Every issue we reported, big or small, was addressed promptly, including a significant drainage problem that was resolved quickly and efficiently. Zoe, Gene, Kelly and the rest of the team at Hamptons in Kingston kept me and my potential buyers informed and updated both on the phone then followed-up with emails. They were proactive the whole time, provided advice where I needed a steer (I made the ultimate decisions but they helped me make them). They were with me every step of the way. Their commission was competitive and lower than other agents and well worth it considering the service I received. Outstanding service with a personal touch from beginning to end. 13th Mar 2026 (6 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Maple Estate Agents. This has been one of the worst services I have ever received from an estate agency. Communication has been very poor and my formal complaint regarding issues at the property has been completely ignored despite multiple emails. I was left to deal with an unresolved electricity dispute directly with the landlord and received no support from the agency, even though the tenancy was arranged through them. Professional assistance and proper guidance were expected but unfortunately not provided. Overall, the lack of response, accountability, and support has made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend Maple Estate Agents based on my experience.

After a sale with another agent fell through, Foxtons was able to secure a new buyer quickly for my freehold property in Richmond. Francis Wilson managed the sale after the offer was agreed and did so with great expertise and dedication. Complicated by the fact that I live in the Netherlands and my solicitor struggled with this sale, Francis kept stepping up, keeping things moving. Five deserved stars!
