Local knowledge, within the local community and being a trusted part of our village yet with contacts countrywide. After a prolonged and disappointing adoptive first sale with the buyer pulling out two days before exchange, Dan procured a sale on our late mother’s property within two weeks. With his super efficient, friendly team including Hollie, Bliss, Sharon, Logan, Tina and Lyndsey the sale was done and dusted within nine weeks of accepting the offer. The team was attentive throughout, chasing, solicitors, the buyer, documents and keeping us in the loop. We used Wards at Bearsted for our recent sale in Downswood as we were relocating to Cheshire. From the very first interaction, everyone we dealt with was super helpful and professional and always on hand to answer any questions we had.
When we were approaching the proposed exchange date, there were a few issues further down the chain that were beyond both ours and Wards control. However, everyone at Wards helped tirelessly to get the sale over the line in time with the deadline for our new property along with the application deadline for our children's new school. We spoke to Dan and Tina several times a day in those final weeks and they always delivered. Another special mention for Logan, Hollie, Bliss, Sharon and Steve who also played a huge part on getting the sale through.

We would like to say a massive thanks to the wards bearsted team, those include Dan, Logan, Bliss, Hollie, Tina and Sharon who have made the sale of our house as seamless as possible! From start to finish I have appreciated their level of communication and their drive to get us towards our end goal. I feel like we have built a really good rapport with some members of the team which has made this a friendly experience and not just a transaction.
We have been grateful for the teams transparency during this sale process, which can often be an overwhelming and daunting time, it has been nice to trust the people that we’ve hired to get us the best possible result, but also be realistic with us.
We could not fault the team at all, whether it be due to accommodating last minute viewings to try and get us the sale we wanted or just being courteous of our home and preferences prioritised, we appreciated the professionalism and respect that they didn’t just treat it like another home to add to the books, but instead a home we had made for the last couple of years!
Lastly we would like to shoutout to Logan who we met on the first consultation but also dealt with throughout, you sold me at being able to pick my own dog breed sign… the other selling factors also important- but you grasped quickly that being the most important to me. That being said you have also been our main point of contact throughout and we appreciate that ever so much!
Dan, I know you say it’s part of your job, but at one point I thought you were also our solicitor and appreciated the lengths you were going to in order to get us the smooth completion we had hoped for, I don’t know without your managing and the rest of the team’s help, if we would have completed when we did, so you are definitely worth your weight in gold!!!
We will most definitely come back to you guys again for any services without a doubt and highly recommend to others, albeit I think we’ll leave it a few years before we do, no offence intended!! :)

After hours spent calling around local estate agents and registering to view properies, Wards were the only agent to ask me what i was looking to buy, how i was going to buy and offered me a valuation on my own home. Completed today on the sale of my property. Jonathan came to do the valuation. He gave sound and honest advice with plenty of evidence to back up his figures. After signing the contracts he recommended an open house and as the property was vacant, it made sense to get everyone in on one day initially. Ally and Lola handled all the viewings and multiple offers we received really well, then Matt took over on the negotiations, whilst keeping me in the loop from the start until I accepted an offer. We sold over the asking price but not to the highest offer as I decided to go with the buyer in the best position who had also been financially qualified by Leon in the Wards Bearsted branch. The whole sale process was a made a lot easier, with regular communication from Jonathan’s team and Charlotte at Martin Tolhurst. If for any reason Jonathan was unavailable, Matt, Ally or Lola were always more than willing to answer my questions. I am aware that there are cheaper options when it comes to selling a house but I don’t understand why anyone would try to cheaply market what is probably their most valuable asset. Having received the service I have from the Wards Bearsted team, I would never hesitate to use them again. I even got a little box of goodies from them when I dropped off the keys. Thank you

Wards Bearsted have shown poor customer service and provided misleading information.
Two bed maisonette in Downswood which they put for an auction took out of market saying vendor has accepted offer from previous interested buyer when they put same property on market 5-6 months ago. When this property comes second time on market I contacted them straight away and ask if I can make offer because I really wanted this property but I had been told that vendor wants to go through an auction so offer before auction won’t be accepted so I was waiting for viewing and looking forward for auction till I got message that this property now no longer in market because it has been sold.
If wards done their job efficiently than they could get their selller better deal because I believe there were lot of interested parties for this particular property in this well sought area.

Wards we’re professional & attentive, as should be expected especially in this market. Although we didn’t utilise them that much, we found them to be helpful. Holly from the Bearsted branch was very helpful when we were looking for a property, nothing was too much trouble and she would keep in regular contact with new properties that might be of interest to us. We are not purchasing a property directly through this branch but would recommend Holly to anyone looking in the Bearsted area. Georgia & Daniel :)

Wards of Bearsted were fantastic! Such nice and kind people who really get the job done. In selling my house they really marketed it efficiently, gave me good advice, and my house was sold within a couple of weeks at a good price. They treated me in a very friendly yet professional manner. I would highly recommend them if you want to sell your house - they can do it!

This team was excellent at selling our place, they were honest and straight forward, and got the best buyer for us (made sure those that were likely to pull out did not start the process). They kept us up to date continuously throughout the marketing and sales process by mail, email and voice calls - as well as keeping us focused and moving through the conveyancing.
Having tried to achieve the same result with another agent, we have a comparison, and there is none to Wards.
