14th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)Do not sell your house with Bridgfords. They say all the right things to rope you into a 26 week contract. Their fees are DOUBLE what other services charge. From start to finish our experience has been poor, out of 8 viewings arranged not one was chaperoned by a member of the team. Viewers cancelled well over 24h before the viewings were due to take place and we found out 30 minutes before. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress and disruption to us. We requested a board on a few occasions and this was just ignored. Our number was given out to what I feel was a bogus surveyor and when I asked what company they were from the staff couldn't tell me. Long story short if you don't want to waste time and money please avoid Brigfords at all costs!! If I could rate zero stars I absolutely would!

Charlotte has been great replied to every email quickly and sorted everything very fast and professionally. And a thanks to Adam who did the viewings with us and answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend buying or renting a property from this company. 11th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)Recently viewed a property for sale. The estate agent made us feel very awkward by following us round everywhere. When we asked very basic and common questions such as 'how old is the boiler?' we were met with 'I don't know, I just do the viewings'. I even emailed some questions to them 7 days ago and had no reply. It may not matter to them, but when I'm potentially making the biggest purchase of my life, it's important that basic questions are answered so I can make these big financial decisions. If they handle viewings in this poor way, I dread to think how they handle the whole buying/selling process!

Hayley was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining everything I needed to know. I would definitely recommend the purple property shop great service.

The communication throughout was also good. I wouldn't have any hesitation in using them again in the future or recommending to friends.

9th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.
