2nd Oct 2026 (25 days ago)Joel, Paula and the team are absolutely lovely. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do and, more importantly, about the people they’re dealing with. Buying or selling a home is such a big thing, and they really understand that. They take the time to listen, pay attention to the little details and make sure you feel looked after every step of the way. It’s the little things they do that make such a difference and put you at ease. You never feel like just another customer. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. A proper lovely team who go above and beyond.

26th Oct 2026 (1 day ago)We contacted Entwistle Green regarding a detached bungalow that was for sale near the centre of Westhoughton....Claire Wright was the lead contact for the purpose and we have to say that without her tireless and professional support we wouldn't have ended living there now. The property we were leaving took 7 months to process and we felt many times that we would lose purchasing the bungalow. Claire was the " go between" in terms of comms with the seller and ourselves and as a result of her tenacity we managed to complete the purchase and are settling in now. So massive thanks to Claire. But we also have to say " thank you" to other members of the team in the Westhoughton office as they too were always friendly and professional when we had the need to contact them and Claire was out of the office. Would continue to and have already recommended Entwistle Green to others..

The ladies are the backbone of the operation Adele Janet and Laura they are the Charlies Angels of Estate Agents with Bob (Charlie) in the back ground supporting his team. Rob came out to do the valuation and photographs- he was professional, efficient, informative and very considerate of my sleeping newborn.<br>Communication was great throughout, even when I would message in the group on the weekends! Could not recommend them enough and will definitely be using them again in the future, especially as the house sold in less than a month! Thanks again :)
15th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Absolutely shocking letting agents!!! I’ve rented a property with another firm for over 10 years and never had no issues ever!! Since I’ve moved into my new rental property with this letting agents, they have been absolutely appalling, very rude, unprofessional and staff have shocking manners and think they are able to treat and talk to you like shit especially David!! Nothing gets done they try and fob you off! They also take no concerns into consideration they just tell you we don’t have to do that!! Like replacing blown windows in the property in a child’s bedroom! I’ve never been so disgusted with a company and how they handle business!! Stay clear everyone from the rental side!!!! I wish I would have stayed with my old letting agents than deal with these people!!

From the very beginning of the sale of our house right through to completion, the service we received was exceptional.<br><br>The whole team was professional, friendly, approachable and, most importantly, incredibly supportive throughout what can be a very stressful process. They kept us informed at every stage, responded quickly to our questions and went above and beyond to keep everything moving smoothly.<br><br>Their knowledge of the local market, attention to detail and commitment to their clients really stood out. We always felt that we were in safe hands and that they genuinely cared about achieving the best possible outcome for us.<br><br>Selling a house can be a stressful experience, but thanks to this team, we felt supported and reassured throughout. He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for better service and would highly recommend Rob to anyone looking to sell their property.
29th Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with Balmer & Co and would not recommend them based on my experience as a tenant.<br><br>While I was living at the property, part of the kitchen ceiling collapsed. Despite the seriousness of the issue, I was left living with the damaged ceiling for around three months before it was finally repaired. During that time, I repeatedly tried to get the issue resolved, but my communications were often ignored and the overall level of service was extremely poor.<br><br>The problems continued at the end of my tenancy. Balmer & Co claimed that there were marks and scratches on the walls and sought deductions from my deposit. However, I had video evidence showing that those marks were already there before my tenancy.<br><br>The most concerning part of my experience happened when I went to their Atherton office to ask for an explanation about the DPS deposit request. I handed my phone to Rachel so she could look at the DPS request and explain to me what was happening. Instead of simply explaining it to me, she pressed the “Accept” option on my phone.<br><br>I had not handed her my phone to accept the request on my behalf. I gave it to her so she could look at it and explain the situation to me. Once the request had been accepted, I was no longer able to dispute the deductions through the normal DPS process.<br><br>I later contacted DPS about what had happened, but by that point the request had already been accepted.<br><br>Overall, my experience was extremely poor: around three months living with a damaged kitchen ceiling, repeated lack of communication, disputed claims about the condition of the property despite me having video evidence, and finally the way the DPS request was accepted on my phone when I had only asked for an explanation.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would strongly advise tenants to keep photographs and videos of the property from the beginning of the tenancy, keep all communication in writing, and never hand over control of their DPS account or phone when discussing a deposit dispute
