They sold my first home and I purchased the home I have just sold through them over 10 years ago,<br><br>From my meeting with Karen for the valuation of my home, I have had nothing but praise for the first class service from all her team.<br><br>I was kept fully informed at every step, from viewings through to completion. A huge thanks to Karen and Michelle for the arranging and attending the various viewings for me and to Cassidy and Anoushka for keeping me updated and chasing solicitors etc. for updates moving towards completion.<br><br>Yet again I have no hesitation in recommending Karen Ritchie Estates to anyone wanting a truly professional company to market and sell their property.

28th Sep 2026 (29 days ago)We were the ones communicating with them rather than them keeping us up to date. The first viewing out of only 3 only took 8 minutes which is not long enough. We did let them know. Overall not great at all, hence moved agents.- 26th Oct 2026 (1 day ago)We contacted Entwistle Green regarding a detached bungalow that was for sale near the centre of Westhoughton....Claire Wright was the lead contact for the purpose and we have to say that without her tireless and professional support we wouldn't have ended living there now. The property we were leaving took 7 months to process and we felt many times that we would lose purchasing the bungalow. Claire was the " go between" in terms of comms with the seller and ourselves and as a result of her tenacity we managed to complete the purchase and are settling in now. So massive thanks to Claire. But we also have to say " thank you" to other members of the team in the Westhoughton office as they too were always friendly and professional when we had the need to contact them and Claire was out of the office. Would continue to and have already recommended Entwistle Green to others..

15th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Absolutely shocking letting agents!!! I’ve rented a property with another firm for over 10 years and never had no issues ever!! Since I’ve moved into my new rental property with this letting agents, they have been absolutely appalling, very rude, unprofessional and staff have shocking manners and think they are able to treat and talk to you like shit especially David!! Nothing gets done they try and fob you off! They also take no concerns into consideration they just tell you we don’t have to do that!! Like replacing blown windows in the property in a child’s bedroom! I’ve never been so disgusted with a company and how they handle business!! Stay clear everyone from the rental side!!!! I wish I would have stayed with my old letting agents than deal with these people!!

I can honestly say this is the best service I have ever received, with a special mention for Bev, the sales manager, who was superb throughout. Bev kept me updated throughout the sale, along with both sets of solicitors.<br>Don’t bother shopping around—just use these guys, they are brilliant.

4th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)We rented with Belvoir Bolton for close to a year, from the initial viewing, where Charlotte gave us a thorough walkthrough of the property, through to living there, where Will handled day-to-day correspondence and Roger was always quick and efficient with repair queries. A huge thank you to all of you: the service you delivered was by far the best I've experienced, and I've rented through several letting agencies to date.<br><br>A special thank you to Will for his help with the move out process. He even came to the property to help me put up the curtains! And thank you to Roger for always staying on top of repairs and being clear and thorough throughout.<br><br>It was a pleasure to rent with you, and I most certaintly will be doing so again in the future.

29th Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with Balmer & Co and would not recommend them based on my experience as a tenant.<br><br>While I was living at the property, part of the kitchen ceiling collapsed. Despite the seriousness of the issue, I was left living with the damaged ceiling for around three months before it was finally repaired. During that time, I repeatedly tried to get the issue resolved, but my communications were often ignored and the overall level of service was extremely poor.<br><br>The problems continued at the end of my tenancy. Balmer & Co claimed that there were marks and scratches on the walls and sought deductions from my deposit. However, I had video evidence showing that those marks were already there before my tenancy.<br><br>The most concerning part of my experience happened when I went to their Atherton office to ask for an explanation about the DPS deposit request. I handed my phone to Rachel so she could look at the DPS request and explain to me what was happening. Instead of simply explaining it to me, she pressed the “Accept” option on my phone.<br><br>I had not handed her my phone to accept the request on my behalf. I gave it to her so she could look at it and explain the situation to me. Once the request had been accepted, I was no longer able to dispute the deductions through the normal DPS process.<br><br>I later contacted DPS about what had happened, but by that point the request had already been accepted.<br><br>Overall, my experience was extremely poor: around three months living with a damaged kitchen ceiling, repeated lack of communication, disputed claims about the condition of the property despite me having video evidence, and finally the way the DPS request was accepted on my phone when I had only asked for an explanation.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would strongly advise tenants to keep photographs and videos of the property from the beginning of the tenancy, keep all communication in writing, and never hand over control of their DPS account or phone when discussing a deposit dispute
