19th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)My husband and I bought a house through Charles David Casson a couple years back and they were the worst part of the process. Their communication was poor from start to finish. They recommended the worst solicitors, DO NOT go for the solicitor they recommend. They failed to adequately arrange viewings and made the process HELL. At several points I had to request their manager to intervene, who was equally useless. If you enjoy stress and headache, you can go for them. If the seller had not been so lovely and accommodating, we would not have got this sale over the line. We literally did all the work whilst they twiddled their thumbs and wasted our time. After the sale went through, they’ve been harassing me periodically to give a valuation of the house- in case I want to sell. Haunting me even to this day.

3rd Mar 2026 (15 days ago)I had a brilliant experience renting a property near the city centre thanks to "Sophie Copley". The entire process was incredibly efficient and professional; Sophie was always responsive to my queries and handled the contract preparation and signing with impressive speed. Her communication is precise and consistently helpful—I strongly recommend her! Since moving in, "Helen" has been managing the property and has been equally wonderful. Any issues I've reported have been handled promptly by professionals. Helen is a highly responsible and effective property manager. Great team overall!

22nd Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.- 6th Mar 2026 (12 days ago)We have been tenants of a property managed by Cheffins Newmarket for almost 8 years. From the beginning until the end, it has been a flawless experience. Always very responsive, professional, and understanding. I've been asked to provide feedback on an area where they can improve, but I really struggle to think of anything. I strongly recommend this agency. If you take care of the property, there will be no issues.
- 5th Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)If you're selling a house, I can definitely recommend Cheffins. I was undecided on whether to sell or not. It was no problem for Cheffins and Ryan in Sales arranged a valuation visit and discussed the options. Having decided to sell, Cheffins took care of the rest, including keeping an eye on the vacant property for me. It all went as smoothly as possible. If you need an estate agent, give Cheffins a call. Not just sales, they're great for lettings too.

My questions were answered and the whole process of purchasing was fast and without any hold ups. 8th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)When I moved in originally I gave a 5* review. Once they had my money they stopped communicating, wouldn’t do the things they said they would, passed blame around and never took accountability, did not follow their own policies when it came to repairs. It got to the point where we had to threaten legal action if they did not get the repairs done. Our landlord failed to provide enough keys and so we were told we had to pay to make copies ourselves. We had many issues with the property and Tucker Gardner was no help. They lied to us prior to signing the lease and went back on promises they had made. It has been over a month since we moved out and we still have not received our deposit. Communication is terrible at Tucker Gardner. I am truly disappointed that what started out as a great relationship quickly turned sour. Our landlord also had his own struggles with them not providing the services he was paying for. Don’t work with TG Lettings, they’re dishonest and they don’t care once they have your money.
15th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)I am not one given to writing reviews good or bad, but felt I had to take few moments to express my gratitude to Intercounty Saffron Walden & in particular, Karen Johnson. We had a very bumpy ride with my purchase of a property, but with fantastic communication, professional expediency, coupled with a faith that it would eventually happen, we got there. I cannot thank them enough for their patience. I wouldn't hesitate in using this agency for any further selling/ purchasing, or letting needs.
15th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)We decided to use Sharman Quinney to sell our apartment in November 2024, however our experience was very disappointing, and not reflective of the positive reviews we had previously seen. It took them 15 days to get our advert up on Rightmove once photographs had been taken. Despite being promised our advert would be uploaded before Christmas, it was not uploaded until after Boxing Day. It included several mistakes (things we were not made aware of before it went live). We chased this numerous times, and although some issues were fixed, various issues with the advert still remained. After a month of no viewings and an advert that was never fully corrected, we cancelled our contract with them altogether (at no cost). We then decided to go with a private estate agent who uploaded our advert within 48 hours of photographs. The advert was exactly how we wanted it, and an offer was made on our first viewing, the day after it was put on Rightmove! We are now in our new house and so happy we made the decision to leave SQ. Everything happens for a reason I guess.
2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)Cannot be happier with Kevin Henry! David Moss was super and valued our house perfectly, as it sold within a week despite it being over everyone else’s valuation. He was also very honest and we felt like he had our best interests at heart when discussing all our sale options. This really stood out compared to the other estate agents we’d had out. Then we dealt mostly with Katie Staggs and she was wonderful! I cannot recommend her enough - she was more helpful than my solicitor and offered to do more constantly to support us in selling the house. She also offered great advice when she could because sadly we were gazumped on a couple of others properties… this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. So so impressed and would definitely recommend them to a friend!

Jonathon combined excellent market knowledge with genuine care for our needs, and the communication of the entire team was always clear, timely and proactive. Jonathon’s friendliness, integrity and professionalism made all the difference. He set realistic expectations, advised us expertly on pricing and strategy, and his feedback and advice was constructive and well explained. Thanks to Vincent Shaw, the sale of our property completed smoothly and very quickly indeed. I cannot recommend Vincent Shaw highly enough to anyone looking for a reliable, savvy and personable estate agent!

We spoke regularly to Mike Bidwell who was our main contact and he was very proactive in trying to move the purchase along. Mike also went out of his way to resolve an issue after we'd moved into the property, which we are very thankful for. Based on my experience I have no hesitation in recommending Exquisite Homes to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
